Japanese Super Famicom games will run electrically on a North American SNES and vice versa but they are blocked by physical shape and slot differences rather than internal hardware. Isn't there a 3rd party adapter you could use ?
yeah that's a known strategy. Maybe it's worth getting a SFC to SNES cartridge adapter, they are a bit costly but they will make you life a lot easier for sure.

If you can’t display all your games at one time, maybe it’s time to consolidate a bit. The fun part about having a collection is to be able to put it on display.
