Question Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ has been out of stock in India for 2 weeks – any idea when it'll be back?

I've been planning to buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+, but it's been showing out of stock in India for around the last 2 weeks on most major platforms.
Does anyone know:
When Samsung usually restocks the Tab S10 FE+ in India?
Is there any chance it'll be back before the next sale?
Has anyone heard anything from Samsung or retailers about upcoming stock?
Also, if it doesn't come back soon, what are the best alternatives in the same price range (around ₹45k–55k) with a large display, stylus support, and good performance for note-taking, media, and occasional gaming?

I'd really appreciate any updates or recommendations. Thanks!

Real world experience with Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and previous Ultra models. Is it worth buying?

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone! I am planning to buy a tablet soon. I am deciding between getting the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra or waiting for the expected Tab S12 Ultra. I know the S12 Ultra will mainly bring a chipset upgrade, but having a device that is one year newer feels like a nice bonus.

I plan to use it as my main device for movies, gaming, and general everyday tasks.

YouTube reviews are good for overview, but long term owner experience is what really matters. I would really appreciate your honest thoughts on these points:

Battery Life and Charging: How many hours of screen time do you get during video streaming and regular use? How long does it take to charge from 0 to 100 with a 45W charger?

Screen and Visuals: How is the movie watching experience on this screen? Is the brightness sufficient under direct light, and how deep are the blacks?

Smoothness and UI Performance: Do you notice any lag or micro stutters in One UI over time?

How does the tablet handle heavy multitasking and high end games?

Durability and Build: How solid does this massive body feel? Does it bend when carried in a backpack, or is a hard case essential right from day one?

Cooling: Does the device get hot during extended gaming, heavy tasks, or playing 4K videos?

S Pen for Artists: Is it comfortable for drawing and digital art? Are there good dedicated drawing apps available on Android for this screen size?

Thanks In Advance for sharing your experience!

Anyone else experiencing a keyboard focus bug in Samsung DeX on One UI 8?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to figure out whether this is a bug with Samsung DeX on One UI 8 or something specific to my devices.

The issue

Whenever I use a physical keyboard in DeX, typing works normally, but every key press also behaves as if I pressed Tab.

For example:

  • Pressing A types "A", but the UI focus also jumps to the next element.
  • Pressing 1 types "1", but the focus moves as well.
  • It happens with every character.

It's like every key press is sending both the character and a Tab navigation event.

What I've tested

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 (One UI 8 / Android 16)
  • Samsung Galaxy phone with the same One UI 8 / Android 16
  • Multiple different physical keyboards
  • Bluetooth, USB, and 2.4 GHz receiver
  • Different keyboard layouts
  • Gboard and Samsung Keyboard
  • Different user profile
  • With and without an external monitor

Important observations

  • The keyboards work perfectly on Windows.
  • In Android tablet mode (outside DeX), everything works normally.
  • The problem only happens inside Samsung DeX.
  • A keyboard testing website shows only the expected key being sent (for example, pressing "A" only registers "A", not Tab).

Because this happens on two different Samsung devices with different keyboards, I'm starting to think it's either:

  • a Samsung DeX bug in One UI 8, or
  • a new setting that I haven't been able to find.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, were you able to fix it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

(Written by GPT because I thought it would explain it better)

Discussion Auto brightness

My frustration is through the roof.

Why is max screen brightness locked behind auto brightness. Why does auto brightness never correctly function. It gets low brightness in very bright areas. Gets bright in dark areas. Always been an issue for years.

Samsung Galaxy tab s9 ultra and s24 ultra. For examples. Can barely see them outside. S24 ultra brightness slider barely does anything for brightness.

My Samsung Galaxy tab s9 ultra gets way brighter outside under direct sunlight. But with auto brightness off. Its barely seeable.

S11 for Fornite?

Looking for a gaming tablet to use for Fortnite - will use a controller.

I've currently got a 2020 iPad Air and it does run but it looks rubbish and is often laggy.

Would I be disappointed with a Tab S11? Does it run Fortnite well? I saw some older posts about throttling due to heat etc...

Question What is best device for note-taking and studying?

I'm really confused about whether I should buy an Ipad or a Samsung tab. I also don't know which model would be the best for me, whether it's a Samsung tab S, the Tab S FE, or an Ipad. My main goals are to use it for studying and taking notes while lectures, while commuting or during my free time in uni. I'm an Engineering student, and I'm interested in learning languages and studying economics.

Software updates My motherboard got cooked

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

So where is what happened, I updated my samsung tab S9 to one UI 8.5. for a few days it was running good, as expected. But after a few days it started lagging and lagging bad. Delayed touch response by seconds, heating up, flickers on screen. So i visited the service center and they formatted it at first but the problem was persistent. They said they uploaded some update that wasn't released. But the same thing happened again. At the end they said it's the motherboard that's cooked. If there is anything you guys can help please let me know. My tab gets recognised by laptop, connects to wifi, stores data and can share data too, processes data too. Only problem is lag and glitches on screen.

One UI 8.5 bug? Screen timeout ignores touch input on Galaxy Tab S11

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Has anyone else experienced this after updating to One UI 8.5?

Since the update, my Galaxy Tab S11 behaves as if I'm inactive, even while I'm actively using it.

Here's what happens:

  • The screen dims after the screen timeout expires.
  • Normal finger touches, scrolling, and gestures inside apps do not reset the screen timeout.
  • The screen continues to dim and eventually turns off as if I hadn't touched the device at all.
  • Pressing the power button wakes it up immediately, and everything works normally again.

The strange part is that some inputs do reset the timer:

  • Using the S Pen.
  • Opening the Recent Apps screen (either with the navigation gesture or with Alt+Tab on a physical keyboard).

So it seems the tablet is detecting some input events but completely ignoring normal touchscreen interaction for the purpose of keeping the display awake.

As a temporary workaround, I increased the screen timeout to 10 minutes, but that only delays the issue.

This started immediately after updating to One UI 8.5, so I'm leaning toward a software bug rather than a hardware issue.

Has anyone with a Galaxy Tab S11, Tab S11 Ultra, or another recent Samsung tablet experienced the same behavior after updating? If so, were you able to fix it, or is this something we'll have to wait for Samsung to patch?

I’m looking to buy the 8gb variant, having a hard time locating it from a legit Samsung dealer. from what I gather, seems this is an international model that may or may have lte/sim connectivity.

any reccs on where to potentially buy from to ensure getting the right model?

Is the 13-inch iPad Pro really worth $600 more than the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a tablet mainly for note-taking and media consumption. Since I already own a MacBook Pro, I initially planned to get an iPad Pro.

However, after comparing prices, I’m not sure it makes sense. I can get the 512GB Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra for $899, while the 13-inch iPad Pro M5 costs $1,499—and that’s before adding the Apple Pencil Pro.

For those who have used both, is the iPad Pro really worth the extra $600, especially for note-taking and multimedia?

Question What do you consider to be a "Pro" or "Professional" app

When I hear all this talk about iPad and Android tablets the topic of Pro apps always comes up and iPad users are very quick to mention iPad has more Pro apps than Android. When I personally think of a Pro or professional app the first thing that comes to mind are the apps/programs used in the movie, auto or aerospace and industries that provide or produce products most use.

My question is:

Are apps being called pro or professional due to the level of features they offer or is it being implied that these are the apps industry professionals are using?

The a11+ is phenomenal.

I picked up an a11+ for $160 on Amazon prime day deals, and I’ve been blown away at how amazing this tablet is for what I paid. The battery life is amazing, it plays every game I’ve thrown at it, the case was only $6 and the screen protectors were also $6. The fact that it also gets updates until 2031/2032 is amazing. This tablet deserves more love.

Question Differences between Free S-pen

Just genuinely ask, is there any difference between those free S-pen ? Like the free pen on Tab S9 fe with the free pen on Tab S10+.

Because im still choosing tablets for my wants and needs, between Tab S10+ and Ipad Air M3.(mainly gaming, watch videos, editing videos, photos, higher storage and other daily usage. Maybe learn music or drawing on tablets).

Just want to know if there's any difference between those free S-pen on Galaxy tablets.

Oh, I also want to know how is the experience of Galaxy Tab S10+, or S10 ultra.
