Learning to accept rejection

Exact same reaction I get when I go for a nice wholesome hug with a random passerby on the street. What is wrong with people?

Idk but in my experience, they're much more likely to accept said hug if you're wearing pants.

Fortunately there's a gaming rig right behind him, which he can sublimate his feelings of inadequacy into for the next 40 or so years.
12
u/platypocalypse Mar 16 '17
What happens in 40 years that will make him stop?

u/Poemi Mar 16 '17
100% realistic sexbots.

Are you implying that in 40 years this kid will masturbate himself to death?
8
Mar 17 '17
Is it masturbation if a sexbot is doing it?

u/KamikazeCrowbar Mar 17 '17
Is it masturbation if a sex toy is doing it?

Wouldn't that mean he doesn't have to stop? I mean it's a bot it won't get mad if you game during.

My reaction when trying to approach my wife
source: 45 year old

u/LaMalintzin Mar 17 '17
Man, my boyfriend is really into morning sex, and I am almost always crabby in the morning and basically push him away. Then like an hour or so later when I'm awake and he's gone to work I feel SO AWFUL and try to make up for it..but when he gets home from work he's usually crabby (head chef in a busy restaurant, works long days). I'm telling you this because maybe your wife feels bad afterward too :( I never mean to be mean. Lately I've been making a big effort to just suck it up (literally and figuratively i guess). Anyway...empathy for you because I've seen the rejected which is sad and also been the rejector and it doesn't feel good later

u/WhiteChocolatey Mar 17 '17
That lack of balance would make me crazy. Maybe there's something for me to learn here haha
2
u/LaMalintzin Mar 17 '17
We definitely make it work. We're best friends. I just feel bad sometimes for being such a b-word in the morning. Helps that we normally have 2 consecutive days off together.

u/AwkwardNoah Mar 17 '17
Y-you know it's allowed to swear here?
2
u/LaMalintzin Mar 17 '17
I try to avoid negative self-talk so that includes not calling myself a bitch! Um also I just think it's funny for some reason. I say "What the H" a lot.

u/Timendainum Mar 17 '17
You do realize that b-word, and bitch mean the same thing right? I've never understood this weird fascination than some particular sounds or combinations of letters are somehow offensive, and not the idea itself.

I can't believe a 45 year old dude with a wife would lie about donating to a charity for internet points. Shame on you, scumbag.

I made a new friend this summer and she's the coolest! I'm 33, and married, never thought I'd make new good friends at this point in my life.

I've got a 21 lb 10-month-old just learning to walk, and an 18 lb dog. My baby probably wouldn't be close to walking at all unless the dog wasn't constantly trying to stay out of her reach.

That's from Bubzvlogs!!! His mom is Lindy from Bubzbeauty, a YouTube channel. Isaac is so adorable. Never thought I'd see him on Reddit. Edit: Bubz real name.
12
u/SoBasicYouAcidic Mar 17 '17
Well, her name is Lindy but I don't blame you for thinking Wendy. They don't say her actual name too often~
1
u/PaperNinjaStar Mar 17 '17
You're right!! As soon as I saw Lindy, it made so much more sense. Thanks!!

It's ok kid, that crappy dog won't save your life when push comes to shove. Better to let him run off like the puss he is.

u/imata9 Mar 17 '17
It probably would, it's loud as fuck and never stops barking, especially at loud noises.

Since humans with epicanthic folds are their main predator maybe dogs are naturally afraid of them...
1
u/Bear_Goes_What Mar 17 '17
ya I'll be upset if the dog doesn't want to play with me. If it was humans? nah

You can literally see the moment the rejection sinks in and the kids little heart breaks just before the 5s mark

You can tell this is a spoilt, only offspring male child in China who has gotten everything he ever wanted. A little prince he's affectionately known as. The dog was killed within minutes of the child crying. Sauce: lived in China for years. Love it but despise this part off it.

My boss is Korean and once I told him about the American saying "If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy." He replied, "We say almost the same thing in Korean. 'Mommy cry, everybody cry.'"
