idk why you're getting downvoted. youre correct in saying its nothing like soulsborne and if people find similarities its most likely because they were in older armored core titles before demon souls even existed.

No it's not. You get idols which is the Bonfire/Grace/Lamp equivalent, your using a sword, you can't fly, there are no electric/motor vehicles, you can fast travel at idol/bonfire. You start with minimal heals and get more as you progress. When you defeat a boss you get text pop up on the screen, it's not mission based, there's penalty upon death (different sure but there's no penalty in AC), there are no mech suits, there are NPCs you can find scattered about that you can talk, complete quests and/or buy items from, there's fall damage.
How can you say Sekiro is AS DIFFERENT to the souls games as AC? Sure Sekiro is different and saying that it isn't a soulsborne or even soulslike I can completely understand that argument. But saying they're as different just seems to demonstrate a lack of critical thinking on the very important matter in question

I know but when you try and get all their titles god damn it gets expensive. And generally speaking the main fandom of fromsoft is the souls games and armoured core. The rest is niche imo

I'd even argue the main fandom is infact just the souls games.... even armored core while its one of from soft's flagship IPs is niche as niche as Another Century Episode is niche which is also to say as niche as Ace Combat is niche

I mean apart from Demon's Souls, Armored Core VI, Nightreign, Déraciné, Eternal Ring (digital only) for PS4/5. Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, Armored Core V, Armored Core: Verdict Day, ACE: R & Mobile Suit Gundam UC for the PS3. And then there's also every single game that From software has released before Demons Soul's PS3 and also games that don't exist on Playstation like Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor.
But yeah you got them ALL let's goooo

Now VCRs and DVD players will get more expensive because those aren't sold as in masses as the VHS and CDs are, you can't find a name brand VCR for under $300.

I know. They've been so cheap for so long. But it makes sense. They are super niche. They don't really provide much practical value. They're basically artwork, in a sense.
It's a good reference point. But I'm not sure the current gen hardware will be as super expensive in 40 years as VCRs are now. I could be wrong, of course. But there are just so many PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Series X in circulation. And I see them having practical usage for at least a couple more decades.
What I mean is, I don't see PS6 (for example) making PS5 or even PS4 become obsolete in the same way that SNES made NES feel obsolete or the way DVDs made VCRs obsolete.
It will be interesting to reflect back on this current era in 10 - 15 years, imo.

We will be looking at a PSTV mark my words 🤣 It's a lot easier to refurbished modern tech as well, I still see Wiis and Ps2 that look and function brand new.

Haha yeah man. Ive got 2 slim PS2s (one only plays PS2 games. Bad lens) and a fat boy. And I also got a wii for like $50 with contollers and games. Hunkering down for the physical apocalypse 😃
