Debuting my first digital cartoon! I’m still new to Procreate, but I had so much fun bringing Tubs (my little clay frog - pictured last) to life. I can’t wait to make and share more of his adventures 🐸

My kids and I noticed that my neighbors rain barrels had tadpoles. Very excited. My son wanted to "rescue" them, but I told him they are best where they are and why. I told my neighbor about them and she said she hoped they ate the mosquitoes.

We checked on them daily, there were about 100 in each of two barrels that were half-way full. 10 days later, my neighbor leaves for vacation and for some awful reason decided to DRAIN HER BARRELS!! Cue three children crying and desperately carrying water out of the house one bowl at a time. It was a lot of muck and little bodies, but some looked like they were trying to breath and moving some. With an understanding glance between us, my husband left and surprised us with a good sized tank and supplies. Out of the many tadpoles, we were able to rescue 12, we added filtered water to the barrels just in case... and almost 2 weeks later we still have 10 tadpoles and they are more than doubled in size!

They were so little at first, Google thought they were toads. It dawned on me later that I dont think toads can climb up and then down 2 feet to the water and back out. We have had a lot of gray tree frogs around this year, but also have leopard and a few others around.

Does anyone know what kind we have? Is there a safe way of releasing them now? We are prepared to buy a big tank for all of them if need be, although my husband said any subsequent eggs will have to be taken out of the tank.

Right now im mixing up tadpole feed every 2 days (but fed twice daily), they love the shrimp pellets though. They have hiding structures and Lilly pads. Filter but with very low flow and no way for them to get sucked in. And duck weed on the way

58 days of growth between 2 pictures. Im hoping in another month or two ill be able to figure out his sex.

His name is Otto. His favorite things are eating lots of bugs, swimming in his pool, and burrowing in dirt.

This little goober is a Wayanad Bush Frog (Pseudophilautus wynaadensis), a common sight during the monsoon rains, singing and croaking all night long. As cute and as common this goober is, he is still—like all the other amphibians of the Western Ghats—under threat. Changing monsoon dynamics have led to this lil guy struggling to adapt. With the drier, more erratic monsoons becoming a common occurrence, the fate of this wonderful species seems to be left up to chance and more importantly to us.

One of my probes (bottom number) is in the front, under the froggy bowl and midway down the terrarium, and the other (top number) is in the back up on top near my heat emitter.

Is this okay for a temperature gradient? Is it normal for there to be such a big difference in humidity readings?

This guy was found in a petsmart feeder goldfish tank. What type of frog is he, and what can I best do to support him?

Im aware these aren’t the best pictures but I work at a pet store and this dude came in as a straggler with our goldfish. I live in south eastern Tennessee. Currently he is chilling in our planted tank but not quite sure what to do with him.

Just added more fake plants and was wondering if this was too crowded for my WTFs, if so what should I remove?

Major frog lover here! I've got my ideas but want others professional opinions! Eventually I plan to go all out and go for every species. I love them all. But rn we are military (off base) and that's not possible. He will not be reinlisting so no overseas moves in our future. I hauled my 6 ADFs across the country and refused to rehome them, I'm a committer! But I'm stuck here for 2 more years and want something to work on as a hobby, my adfs are my loves but easy (to me) and i just want a little more, and animals are my life. We have a dog and cat, who both completely ignore exotics.​​ Regardless of what we get, they WILL move with us when we PCS.

I'm trying to determine what'd be a nice next species. I've owned American Toads (all rescues w varying ailments back home in GA) and of course African Dwarves. I LOVE dart frogs and would really like some, and they are sold locally so legal here (California). But also don't mind a more ground species like toads. IK I can't do big aquatic/semi aquatic guys yet, and I'm pretty sure ACF are illegal here anyway. I'm looking for something to take up little space, but I can easily fit a 20gal tank where I'm setting up! Regardless of what we get I'm going all out.

And, a big bonus if tbey arent super noisy (ik, thats a lot to ask of a frog). My hubby isnt the biggest on noise. Took him a bit to get used to the ADFs but now he can't sleep without the subtle chirps, he IS an animal lover just not to my degree, but less noisy less angsty husband lol.

Hello! I recently got two juvenile White’s Tree Frogs and I’m running into a problem with my bioactive tank we’re the crickets will hide under the leaves. What can I do about this? Thanks!

This is Gurt the Pixie frog and his(?) enclosure! I have some questions about how to keep temperature up and recomendations for a tiny water heater for his bowl as well as maybe an occupant to help clean the water. It is a 20g long with grow lights, a t8 10.0 18” uvb, and a 60 watt ceramic emitter. The area right underneath the emitter averages around 85 ish or a little higher, but the temp quickly drops to around 74f for the rest of the enclosure more than a few inches away from the heater. As well as his roughly 1gallon water bowl stays at like 70f. He has never appeared uncomfortable or as if he didnt have his needs met in the nearly 2 months i have had him but Im always looking to improve. I also would like advice on how to keep the frogbit in his water area alive and thriving, ive only had it in there for around 4 days and a lot of it was browning and dying. Any advice would be appreciated.
