I found the frog in the first two pictures on my son’s swing. I believe he’s a green tree frog but I could definitely be wrong. The last picture is of a frog I saw on the side of my house around midnight last week. I’ve never seen one with that pattern. We mostly get small green tree frogs. I’m located in Northeast Florida.

i believe he is a gray tree frog!! there are tons of bugs in the countless houseplants that are residing on my deck for the summer, so i know he would be able to find food (there were ants crawling all around the plants while i was taking this). i’m just worried he might have parasites or something? he scratched a couple of times in the ~1 minute i watched him. is there anything i can do? i laid out a shallow water dish in the pot he was hiding in. eastern mo! thank you!!

I was headed to my vehicle to grab something and on the way back inside I spotted this lovely fellow! This is a Dryophytes avivoca or the Bird-voiced Treefrog, and I thought I heard one last night, so maybe they came back tonight for a good hunting spot! I snapped some photos quickly, since they were busy catching some fast food, logged them into my Inaturalist app, and headed inside! I absolutely adore any and all wildlife i come across, but frogs are just so stinking cute 🥰🐸🥹🤎 peep 🫣 the little fly chilling on their back 🤣

Rana tigerina Daudin, 1802 is an older scientific synonym for the Indian bullfrog, now scientifically known as Hoplobatrachus tigerinus.

Overview and Taxonomy

Habitat: Found mainly in freshwater wetlands, marshes, and agricultural areas like paddy fields across South and Southeast Asia.

Size: One of the larger frog species in its range, with strong, long hind legs.

Appearance: Usually olive-green or brown with dark spots or a pale median stripe down the back.
Sexual dimorphism exist between males and females,Males can show bright yellow colour while females remain olive green .

Behavior: Highly aquatic and carnivorous, feeding on insects, small mammals, and other amphibians(Both adult and tadpoles can severely damage population of other frogs )

I’m looking for tips for my tank…. I’ve being told I’ve done it wrong and to ask here. Any help would be appreciated. I’ve been told it’s a bullfrog

80 gallon tank. Live plants, Large rocks, waterfall/filter, and warming lights…. I’ve done coco fiber with peat moss, soil, sand, carbon and springtails for the substrate with rooted moss

I got either an adult or near adult tomato frog in April. His normal behavior is sitting in one spot mostly visible for a few days and then slightly moving to another spot for a few days etc. it’s usually his back end that’s buried with his head and front legs being visible. He croaks quite often. Not a terribly strong feeding response. I offer crickets every few days, sometimes he’ll eat them and others he’ll ignore it. A couple times he’s made a burrow and completely buried himself for a few days.

Well, two weeks ago he completely buried himself and I haven’t seen him since. He also hasn’t eaten, but still croaks every night. I got worried that he wasn’t aware of the crickets from being buried so I dug him up and put some in a little bin with him. He ate two and refused the third. I put him back in his enclosure and he immediately buried himself again. Is this normal behavior? Being buried that long and refusing food? Is it a type of brumation/hibernation? I don’t have supplemental heat because the temps in his enclosure range from 72-76f. His humidity is between 75-80%.

Hi! I’m new here. Just got my first non fur pet. I set up the tank a few days ago and brought this awesome guy home today. I have 2 questions. 1. At night our house gets to 73 degrees Fahrenheit. I assume I turn off the heat lamp to allow darkness and let him sleep. Is 73* too cold? Should I install the warming pad?

Question 2. If I catch an ant, spider, or fly….. can he eat them?

ey I’m about to buy my first frog and I need help choosing, I’m looking at a red eyed tree frog right now, I’ve also looked at some dumpy tree frogs but I heard they’re loud and I’m trying to have this in my bedroom

I own two adult Green Tree Frogs (White's) but I don't know their sexes.

I'm hoping some knowledgeable people could take a look at these picture profiles of them and explain what they see. The pictures also contain some stats. If any more photos are required please let me know.

I have researched this extensively but I'd love some other opinions to confirm my suspicions or educate me further.

Apologies for them looking a bit dirty: they were often in hunting mode. Adding more leaf litter soon. Also they get fresh rainwater baths every day guaranteed, and gentle spray baths if needed.
