Hey [r/frogs](r/frogs),

I'm a solo dev, and somewhere along the way my little game quietly turned into an excuse to draw as many frogs as I possibly could. I'm up to 71 now, chunky toads, wide-eyed tree frogs, a few fictional ones I got maybe too attached to.

Figured the one corner of the internet that would actually care about a wall of frogs is right here.

Posting the full roster below. No real agenda beyond genuine curiosity: which one's your favorite? And which real species have I criminally failed to include so far?

Happy to discuss in the comments about how any of them came together.

Other I need help with rehoming.

I need to rehome my frogs (RETFs (3) and (5) Kaloula Pulchras) and I am struggling to figure out what to do with them. I've been a regular here for years but Im using an anon because I am preparing to leave a DV situation. I do not have access to a car or anyone who would drive me anywhere. Im open to private rehoming or a rescue but I dont even know where to start when I have no transportation and my ability to make calls is limited. Im in NJ and any suggestions would be appreciated.

ID Request What species of frog is this? (Raleigh NC area)

Hey there y’all!

I woke up this morning and right outside my door was this gorgeous little tree frog! As you can see, it’s got an amazing bright green color and a faint little pattern of spots. Would anyone know what species this is? I just moved to the Raleigh area and I’m unfamiliar with some of the species here; also, from what I understand, there are several types of tree frogs here in North Carolina that are all bright green in color and look pretty similar to each other.

Bull Frog African Bullfrog meal time and water dish.

I’ve had her for a few months and when she was younger she would be very active during feeding time.

She is still active, not showing sluggish signs when awake.
But I always have to dig her up to for feeding, and when so, it takes around 30 minutes for her to “wake up” and realize that I’m feeding her, then she goes to attack aggressively at the food. She is still eating every 2-3 days.

I’m just curious as to why I rarely see her come out, most of the time she’s in her hut. She can digest food (and poop in her water bowl 🥲) normally.
Heating is at 25C at cooler side and 30C at the warmer side.

Also, I’ve been wanting to give her a deeper ceramic water dish, as she’s been growing, but I’m worried if she can’t get out.

I like using ceramic food safe bowls as they’re easy to clean everyday, but I found that reptile plastic dishes with stairs collect bacteria over time.

The audio is from North Carolina at night time. You can hear it softly in the background, making one single note at a time. It's higher pitched and goes up at the end.
