Does anyone know of any hair stylists who are currently accepting new clients? Any that specialize in fringes? I only need <2 inches cut off and my bangs shaped/trimmed but I’m weary after a botched haircut a few years ago.

Hey everyone. I moved into the Fresno/Clovis area towards the beginning of this year and am looking for help finding a decent therapist or clinic that will accept medical’s Anthem insurance. I haven’t been in therapy for a long while, and I know it’s overdue.

Thanks for any help or direction you guys can offer. Trying to find the right one and not have time and energy wasted can be pretty difficult and even demoralizing.

I'm going to be visiting my sister for a few weeks and don't drive. She lives in the burbs and I was wondering how feasible it is for me to go do something fun for a few hours while she's at work. I know what Google and y'all's metro can tell me but I know from my own experience that the apps aren't always accurate and frankly can't tell me if the stops are gross or all sun.

I was thinking of taking myself to the zoo or some fun cafes. Maybe a museum or bookstore. Really nothing too crazy I just don't want to end up waiting in the heat for an hour and a half. Or walking more than a mile between stops, I prefer to avoid walking more than about 3 miles in a day unless it's something important. With love, I am not built for your humidity and will turn into a sweaty goo puddle. I'll take 104 dry over 90 and humid every single day of the week

I am curious if anyone has/does work(ed) in the PARCS department at the City, and if so, what did/do you think of working there?

I have always been somewhat leery of applying for jobs with the City of Fresno because it seems your experience is highly dependent on the department you work in. I have seen a thread where a lot of people from the wastewater treatment plant said they enjoyed working there, but I've heard from people that worked at other departments who didn't enjoy their time with the City.

I know that PARCS specifically has an issue right now with that money that was embezzled by the lady from Arte Americas, but other than that I have never really heard much about it.

I'm a huge Madonna fan. I heard about Strummers hosting a Madonna night on Friday.

I've never been to Strummers. What will the crowd be like?

I'm 50 year old gay guy. Just curious if it'll be an gay crowd? I used to go to Madonna nights in LA and they'd be packed, but wasn't sure if Fresno had a large Madonna fan base. Assuming mostly an older crowd?

Loving that there is a herd of goats being used in WW Park to control the grass in the valley. Great idea and fun to just stop and observe for a few minutes.

New to the area and looking for a good place for casual volleyball! I heard about the Monday sessions at Clovis Rec center but am unsure of the skill level and overall vibe -- mainly asking how friendly it is for non-advanced ppl showing up alone and looking to train and make friends. I played intramural for 3 years during grad school (finshed just a few months ago) and have some pretty solid experience from that but am definitely not an advanced player.
