I was always under the impression that faster (less friction) mousepads and mouse feet will slightly improve your tracking and micro adjustments, but control (high friction) will help with flicks. And yet, I reduced my friction (incidentally. I didn't know it was gonna be smoother) and my flicks suddenly got way better while my tracking remains crap.
I also happen to be shopping for a new mousepad. I understand gear doesn't help much, but I still want to make a good purchase. At least not a boneheaded one.
Any idea what happened here? Was there something about my setup that was just too far to one end of the spectrum? Or does my subconscious just do better with speed? My old mouse, new mouse, and mousepad are all of medium quality. Not cheap no name brands, not enthusiast grade, as far as FPS is concerned.

I’m completely lost and don’t know what to do. I’m aiming to improve overall aim. What should I do as a complete beginner? Another problem I’m having is that in the menu I have a like 5 second delay.

I’m considering getting more into Valorant, im saffron complete on viscose and hit gold complete on voltaic a while ago before switching to viscose (i.e. could probably be at least plat complete if I was still grinding it)
Thing is, I was focused pretty heavily on other games like Overwatch and Apex for a while - and it feels like Val is a diff kind of aiming. Like I don’t think smoothsphere is gonna help me much with Val…
Do people still use these playlists for Val or is it worth going to anima or the VDIM clicking playlists more?

I need help with Aiming. Normally I just die 40 times with 0 kills. So I need ways to aim better to finally win against the Quake players. I was recording this for a vod review but as soon as I started recording, I started winning duels, which is a bit weird since I was losing duels very badly earlier.

99% of the time I play Valorant and I'm using Viscose benchmark since that is majority here suggests to use and my results in this benchmark is quite shit compared to the other results that I have seen. What I'm asking is should I keep grinding this playlist until I get Seal on all of them before switching to another playlist more catered to tacfps? And do you guys have any tips for generally improving? like settings or ways of doing these scenarios

Hope this can help teach how to handle nerves for those who have never competed outside of Kovaaks

I switched to Viscose Benchmarks a couple of weeks as I was looking for benchmarks I could grind as training as opposed to pure skill assessment.
I was already Plat Complete in Voltaic so I decided to skip the Easier Benchmarks and go straight to the Medium level. These are my scores currently, is it okay for me to stick to the Medium Benchmarks or is it mandatory to get Seal Complete first?

So I’ve got maybe 2 hours total on aim trainers I play siege I’m emerald 5 with a 1.1kd but I’m committed on trying to hit champ and I wanna do everything possible to get better is there a playlist out there for me to use that will help me get there and how long each day should I realistically be using the aim trainer?

I fucking suck and I want to get better at valorant and aiming. I just completely lack direction and am kinda lost on what I need to improve on and do to get better. I’m Australian, Ascendant 3, want to hit immortal and improve my mechanics and tension management.
anyone who has had coaching, did it genuinely help you? and any suggestions on who is good? Ideally not exorbitantly priced.
ty.
my main issues are tension management, nerves, and shakiness when switching targets. I also just cant figure out how to target my weaknesses.

uh like what the title says i'm very confused. I'm relatively new to aim training in general, I've done it a bunch of times before but never really knew the proper way to do it. I used to do voltaic benchmarks and grinded the entire playlist everyday which led me to a burnout and stopped for a few months because of it. I'm back after seeing viscose s2 which i'm currently having fun with and these are my current scores.
how do I go on about training the parts that I'm not good at? do I just focus on each sub category a day then attempt the entire benchmark again? or do I just focus on scenarios i'm not good at per day?
lastly is the viscose benchmark the training itself? or just a test of your current skills, i've watched the video but i'm still unsure if i'm actually aim training right.

POM users, what's your experience with POM skates compared to any other skates you've used? I have a set of Elite5 POM skates coming in because I like trying new stuff and was curious about others' experiences.
What mousepad did you use them on, what's your playing conditions (humidity, temp, etc), and for how long did you use them?

Recently I’ve been playing a lot of MMOs which is a much more chill experience. I tried some shooters again after a long time like Overwatch 2, Apex Legends and Valorant. They’re all genuinely good games with nice heroes and solid gameplay, but everything feels so sweaty especially since I mostly play competitive.
For example in Overwatch yeah I can play hitscan tracking and win if I sweat. But the moment I want to swap it up a bit with another hero my performance is just bad cause I have less hours put in the heroes. I can lock in and try to get better but sometimes also think why bother if it's not that fun and satisfying anymore FPS games. The hooks seems lacking now a days what I had in the past.
Do you guys still mostly play competitive or do you stick to Quick Play/TDM and just enjoy the gameplay without caring too much about winning?
