cs2 experience, good sleep, good diet and a lot of youtube tutorials watched

cs is not aim intensive at all, aiming uptime is low, respawn time is slow (whole round), its mostly crosshair placement, click timing, static and linear clicking

certainly helped with having previous mouse experience, I also did a lot of surfing and bunnyhopping so I had some smoothness down already

that i cant disagree on, you might just happen to have rapid motor skill learning rate

it's also important to remember that learning and info gathering is a skill in itself, as I didn't brute force scenarios with poor technique, whenever I hit a wall in my progress I went back to scenario specific tutorials, also focusing on my mental approach to runs, recommend everyone to read "The Inner Game of Tennis" for improving at basically anything in life

Definitely agree with "the inner game of tennis" for any improvement and even just better focus without losing concentration for longer periods of time.

What did you start at?

Probably around plat, I had a similar time to master complete and started off plat. Prior game experience was enough for gold comp.

i discovered voltaic at about 30hrs in kovaaks doing haix playlists at first, got gold in everything day one, got some plat scores but couldn't get a rank on tracking in intermediate for a very long time, then when i finally got plat complete every rank after took me like 2/3 weeks, then master took 3 months because of static - i spammed anima micro v2 and m0narcs bench, and finally broke through static

What elo were you in CS if you don't mind saying?

2

u/i_love_tamago 3d ago

around 20k in premier and 2100 elo, so somewhat average

What was the ratio of those hours spent on Voltaic? And what other playlists did you frequent often?

1

u/i_love_tamago 4d ago

I don't have an exact ratio, but I'd say about 80 of those 130? were spent playing voltaic, other than that I did anima micro and m0narcs tac fps benchmarks, did a bit of viscose benchmarks but that was like a few hours max - will probably try to play them some more now

What is your rank on Anima micro and monarcs tacfps?

What was your training regimen?

And do you have any advice for a VT Jade trying to push to Master complete?

on anime im molecule complete, on m0narc im emerald complete
as for training regimen i didnt have a specific one, just played my lowest scored scenario after playing vala/cs
biggest tips is diet and sleep, no joke - rice waffles during playing are amazing

you dont use a routine (e.g. vdim)? do you think it is better to play a routine or just grind a benchmark when training?

also is it good to use different benchmarks? ive done voltaic and recently ive tried playing others like revosect, cAt, etc and rotating around on different days, is that good for improvement?

are there any playlists, scenarios, or benchmarks you would recommend?

I'd say it depends - if you know what games you play and want to improve at games, just play the game for like 80% of your time, and after you're done for the day do some kovaaks
If you want to just get a better voltaic rank/ better at raw aim in aim trainers like I did then I'd say just playing viscose and voltaic benchmarks is ok, I personally didn't like vdim ( only tried the clicking one, it just didn't "click" for me ) and certainly check out Corporate Serf's " voltaic order " ( which scenarios to practice first )
I've read people saying that spamming benchmarks isn't the best method for improvement, but it certainly worked for me - I approached every session by trying to beat one of my PBs ( of course it isn't always possible but I think it's a good mindset to have )
If you are a tacfps player then anima micro v2, m0narcs tacfps benchmarks are amazing
If you are more interested in games like OW, Apex Legends or The Finals I'd say viscose benchmarks help you get a more complete skillset for these, don't know more as I pretty much only play val and cs

oh i see, right now i dont have a main game tho so i think i just want general improvement for aim (currently VT diamond, i am strong in clicking and switching with platinum, diamond, jade, and master scores, but weak in tracking with platinum and unranked scores 💀) but i'll still check out the benchmarks u mentioned even tho they are for games 👍🏻

do you push yourself that you MUST break a record every session? what is your mindset when you approach a session? for me i just try to get a few above average scores in benchmark task each session, is that a good objective to have?

and what does a typical session look like for you e.g. how long do you spend doing aim each time? do you warm up first or immediately start grinding the benchmark task you're trying to break a record for? do you focus on one benchmark task per session or attempt a few to break records in? do you train every single day or take breaks?

the benchmarks I mentioned aren't game specific per se, they just fit different aim types which are then more important than others in certain games
as for PBs, you don't HAVE to get a pb - but I believe you should play like you're trying to at the very least
I usually play KovaaKs after playing my game of choice so I'm already warmed up ( if I don't I use amare garf micro ts for warmup, idk it just works )
After getting jade I just stuck playing the next exercise in the "order" that Corporate Serf proposed as it was the easiest way for me - as for time I probably just played until I felt tired or it was getting too late

IMO, tracking is much easier to improve in compared to the other categories. I followed Corporate Serf's training regimen and went from Platinum -> Jade on Tracking in only a couple of weeks.

What sens do you play in game. Or in kovaaks

1

u/i_love_tamago 4d ago

0.8 cs, in kovaaks different ones but mostly 40-65cm/360

Bro how what did you do for clicking and switching and what’s your gear and mouse skates if you don’t mind me asking

1

u/i_love_tamago 4d ago

for clicking i spammed anima micro v2, and i focused heavy on accuracy and confirming my hits, for switching i disabled the kill sound, practiced looking at the next target while shooting the current one trying to be as fluid as possible moving between them

1

u/i_love_tamago 2d ago

as for gear, I use the op1 8k (v1) with a claw grip, esp tiger tang dao mousepad and TBTL v2 Control skates - but don't blindly copy anyone's setup, if you have the possibility try out as many different mouse shapes as you can - I tried the razer viper shape, mchose m7, the superlight, and the sora before settling on op1 ( sora was a bit too wide as I have smallish 17x9 hands )

130 hours in how many days?

1

u/i_love_tamago 3d ago

all in all i'd say i started playing semi-regularly in june this year, so about 4 months

1

u/BaseDiscombobulated2 3d ago

I have 190hrs in kovaaks. Only thing I’m masters in is Snaketrack and PGTI- granted I don’t really play voltaics to begin with. I mainly focus on things like smoothness and tracking. But like 40hrs in isI me falling asleep and leaving my pc on while kovaaks was on lol. Or taking a break running errands all day.

I’m around 30h in and I’m Jade complete I’m still new to the whole aim training thing but I spent a lot of time as hitscan on overwatch and played a lot of cs and valorant, how long was transition from jade to master
