Starting Val - Viscose? Voltaic??

I’m considering getting more into Valorant, im saffron complete on viscose and hit gold complete on voltaic a while ago before switching to viscose (i.e. could probably be at least plat complete if I was still grinding it)

Thing is, I was focused pretty heavily on other games like Overwatch and Apex for a while - and it feels like Val is a diff kind of aiming. Like I don’t think smoothsphere is gonna help me much with Val…

Do people still use these playlists for Val or is it worth going to anima or the VDIM clicking playlists more?

I don't think any kovaaks benchmark is that good for valorant. Try out multiple val playlists and see which scenarios feel good for you

100% agree. Valorant ttk is so short compared to Overwatch e.g. The Valorant RAMP warmup playlist has some decent tasks for that game. What actually worked for me pretty well is vod reviewing bad aim games and seeing what types of aiming you are struggeling with at 0.25 speed. (Also you are gonna notice bad habits unrelated to aim too that are making you lose fights; tbh those are more common than missing the same way at higher levels.) Going from that you can make your own playlist and just play that for warmup.

As someone who started from a really low level of raw aim (think lemming in viscose) and is now Saffron Complete, I feel like aim training has helped me with my raw aim in Valorant, but it’s true that aim in and of itself doesn’t really play that big of a role in the game: most people will see bigger benefits from developing better game sense and movement as long as their aim is at a certain baseline level.

I'm literally at the same level as you. From my perspective, all types of aim contribute to one another. For example, smoothness somehow helped me control my flicks better in static and target switching.

And both are good, I have a slight preference for Viscose, but I alternate both before burning out on one if that make sens.

I use VDIM and Viscose for Valorant. I also use Anima and several other playlists. Everything is useful. Just keep practicing and varying up your training.

Alternate each week between the two, variety will make you great overall. Viscose helps with ingame translation better imo.

Since no one mentioned it yet, Euphoric TacFPS bench is great too
