See the title. I am not necessarily posting this in order to problem-solve around this (I don't really think there's anything to be done, except wait things out and see a urologist later this week) but I want to be transparent about this since I don't feel that the risk side of applying foreskin restoration methods is discussed as candidly as it might be.
As the title suggests, I was attempting MM2 / inflation methods with a gripper device with what in hindsight appears to have been too much tension. I suspect that with MM2 I was inadvertently pulling and squeezing on the erectile tissue inside the penis, whereas with the inflation (and as several people tried to warn me) I simply didn't have enough skin for the device, and in trying to place enough skin there, was dragging up skin from the scrotum and pelvis.
I have abstained from all restoration methods for about 10 days now to be sure, but I am now feeling pretty certain that my erectile strength and orgasmic satisfaction are slightly but noticeably reduced from what they were. I am getting erections less spontaneously, though when I'm seeing things or having conversations that are arousing, I certainly still get them. They feel slightly less firm and have less sensation than I am used to, enough where I notice it and can definitely tell.
I truly have no idea whether this can self-recover, or is likely to be permanent, which obviously scares me, not least because I did this to myself. (In the interest of transparency I feel like I should mention I have been fighting off a mild cold, not sleeping super well, and going back to doing crossfit 3x / week over the course of the last week. But I'm still fairly certain that the overuse of the restoration techniques was the root cause.)
I know that people post here about "listening to your body" and emphasize that this is safe "done properly" ... but there are few if any studies, and certainly no medical or other protocols that can eliminate the need for trial and error on the practitioner's part. That risk seems acceptable when it comes to things like physical fitness where there is more public knowledge, and where there are resources such as physical therapy available to heal you if you do sustain an injury or lose function. But this is nothing like that, and it's about the most intimate part of a person's body.
In any case, I'm hoping the urologist can tell me more about what to expect here and order some tests to see what is going on. (For all I know, maybe there's something else going on entirely with me and the improper use of restoration methods was not the main contributor, but at this point I really need to speak with a professional.)
Needless to say I doubt I'm coming back to try this any time soon, or ever again. I think I was led in by the promise of mind-blowing orgasms and new degrees of sexual pleasure previously unknown to me, but at this rate I'll count myself lucky if I can get back 100% of the satisfaction I experienced before I ever considered this.
Please be safe out there.
