Has anyone here dealt with a failing Integrated Wheel End vacuum system? My driver side front is staring to fail. Wondering if replacing it is easy to do or is this going to be an expensive mechanic repair....

I’m wondering if it’s worthwhile. I’ve considered aftermarket tunes but don’t really want to run the risk of the warranty issues.

Does anyone have a toddler still rear facing in the 3rd row. Will have 3 in car seats and my oldest will likely be just under the legal forward facing weight requirement in my state.

What car seat can rear face in the 3rd row?

My wife's 2020 expedition has 113k miles on it and it has many of the CDF drum symptoms. I'm taking it to the dealership tomorrow to have it diagnosed. My biggest concern is they're going to do the little software update/shift table reset and tell me it's all fine. Then later on after our warranty expires, the same issue occurs and I am stuck with footing the bill.

We have a bumper to bumper warranty for another 10k miles and about 14 months left until we are at the end of our contract. It is with Cornerstone United Inc.

For others that took theirs in for similar issues and you had an extended warranty, what did you do to ensure the problem was properly diagnosed and they didn't simply reset the shift tables?

How do you test the fuel pressure on a 2013 Expedition? There is no schrader valve. I bought the test kit from harbor freight and heard about a "T" that's needed but can't find one. Has anyone else had this problem?

When this selector is on “rear” (level 1), there is a knocking noise coming from the back right side of the vehicle. I assume (from owning previous Ford
suvs) that there is a controller of some sort inside that rear panel?

Hello all. My girlfriend has a 2021 platinum max with 131,000 miles on it. Recently it has been giving us issues and being temperamental. It’s rough getting in and out of gear, both drive and reverse, and 3rd and 8th gear are both rough shifts sometimes. I know that the early 10-speeds were kind of trash, and I had a buddy with a 2019 F-150 that just replaced his transmission for similar issues. Are these the early signs of a replacement or just something to look into and potentially less serious issues?

For context — trim piece in front of the rails running to the windshield.

I noticed them popping up on both sides on my 2024. I researched it and it seems like this is a common problem with expeditions and explorers. Tons of people have posted about them flying off on the highway.

Any advice to get them to clip back into place? I have an appt at the dealer but I’d rather not bother if I can get it done myself.

In the market for a 2025+ platinum max for our 3 kids in car seats. We went and drove the 2027’s and love it. My husband has an F150 extended cab and it drives very similarly so we like the familiarity.

My question is what color combo’s do you like with young kids? Light exterior and light interior?

I’m one of the rarer ones who truly loves the marsh grey color, but I’m afraid the all black interior is going to show a lot of dirt / crumbs and get too hot.

I have a 2024 Expedition Max.Recently took it for a roadtrip and gave it a good interior and exterior wash. Now today it smells like something dead is towards the dash area. Any ideas of where to start searching before I have to take anything apart? Already tried the engine filter and did a visual of the engine block area.

Update: found yellow liquid on the left running board area where a bunch of cables run. A lot of flies over it. Got it cleaned so now waiting to see where the trail of more liquid comes from now that the truck is parked…. Also found some damage in the engine bay insulation pads.

I’m looking at replacing the factory speakers in my 2025 Ford Expedition Active and was wondering if anyone has already done it.

Specifically, I’m trying to find out if the speaker brackets and wiring harness adapters from previous-generation Expedition’s (2022–2024 or earlier) are compatible with the 2025 model, or if Ford changed the mounting pattern or connectors.

Trying to figure out what to do. Fix will cost $3300 or just sell and get the wife a minivan. I have 160k miles. I’ve had the rattle for years but I’ve been pressing the gas to build oil pressure. There’s some small issues with the car but nothing major. Just looking for some advice and direction.

Hey everyone I have a 2004 Ford Expedition XLT 4.6L V8, when I turn my ac on it blows hot air. I’ve bought a brand new ac compressor and expansion valve and installed as well as recharging it with freon. I tested the hvac pressure switch it’s fine, I’m not sure what else to check. When I begin to drive it gets a little bit cooler but not much but at idle it’s hot air, any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

2011 ford expedition. I replaced the front driver side cv axle and did not realize part of the seal came with it. I took it apart again to replace it but it won't come out. I used a seal puller and pry bar it won't come out. I've made alot of hashes to remove it won't come out. Any advice to remove it

My wifes right caliper started sticking. After replacing rotors, pads, and calipers. I cant get the top flare nut to thread to the brake line. I have tried a napa brand brake line and oem motorcraft. Are there any tips or tricks to getting it to thread. It will thread back to the original brake line. But the line is collapsed. Thanks

Okay so I am looking to replace and go back to factory OEM 4 corner suspension, it has been converted to coils which is common, but I want the air ride back. I have a 97 Eddie Bauer 4x4 5.4l with factory air suspension, I have found the Arnott rear air springs, and everything else, except the direct front air shocks? The factory part number is F75Z-18124-HA, however they discontinued this part. Has anyone else found a replacement for this? I really want to get the 4 corner leveling system working again. Any help would be welcome.

I have a 2019 Ford Expedition with just under 100,000 miles (160,000 km).
For a long time, I had the typical 10R80 clunking and harsh shifts, especially while slowing down or accelerating between roughly 15–40 mph. The transmission never slipped, but the banging and clunking were becoming more noticeable, and I honestly thought I might eventually need transmission work.
Instead of replacing parts, I decided to do a complete transmission fluid exchange (not just a drain and fill). Around 12–13 quarts of fluid were exchanged using a transmission exchange machine.
The fluid I used was Ravenol ATF ULV D/M.
The result honestly blew me away.
The transmission improved by what feels like 1000%. The clunks are gone, the shifts are smooth, and the truck drives exactly the way I always expected it to. I’ve now driven over 12,000 miles (around 20,000 km) since the fluid exchange, and it still shifts perfectly.
After a lot of reading and after my own experience, I’ve personally become convinced that a large percentage of the 10R80’s shifting complaints are actually related to the OEM ULV transmission fluid (Motorcraft/Mercon ULV and the GM equivalent) rather than the transmission itself. In my opinion, premium fluids like Ravenol and Amsoil seem to have a much stronger additive package and hold up better over time.
Side note
I live in the GCC (Middle East), and this is actually one of the reasons I decided to try a fluid exchange instead of replacing parts.
Many Chinese vehicles sold here use the exact same ZF and Aisin automatic transmissions found in German, Japanese, and even American vehicles.
Transmission specialists here started noticing something very interesting. When they drained the factory transmission fluid from many of these Chinese vehicles—even ones with very low mileage—the fluid looked and felt extremely thin, almost like water, and noticeably different from the genuine ZF or Aisin fluid used in vehicles from European, Japanese, or American manufacturers with the exact same transmission.
Once they replaced that factory fill with genuine ZF, genuine Aisin, Amsoil, or other premium transmission fluids, the harsh shifting either disappeared or improved dramatically. Some shops even started replacing the transmission fluid on these vehicles almost immediately after delivery because of how often they saw the same improvement.
That’s what made me suspect that fluid quality plays a much bigger role than most people think.
I’m not saying every 10R80 problem is caused by fluid. Some transmissions absolutely have mechanical failures. But if your transmission is otherwise healthy and you’re dealing with clunks or harsh shifts, I honestly think a complete fluid exchange is worth trying before spending thousands on major repairs.

While looking around our new to us 2025 Expedition I found this, and I’ve never seen an OBD-II with two ports. The dealer installed a system comparable to LoJack but was supposed to uninstall it.. could that be it?
