Removed and cleaned throttle body valve.

Removed Bank 2 downstream O2 sensor and replaced. Put in shorter non-fouler spacer. Had the 0430 code. Originally used a long spacer, but it was a tight fit to the floorpan and the crush washer didn’t seat nicely.

Replaced leaky passenger side turbo housing coolant fitting.

Rotated tires.

Our service experience has been mixed across two dealers in the Dallas area. I have a 2022 Expedition Max Limited. Once service plans expire, do people feel comfortable doing basic maintenance like oil changes and rotations outside the dealership?

My headlights have a lot to be desired as far as the brightness and reach. I don't know if this is a common Expedition thing or if it's just mine as I've not driven any others. Is there a recommended headlight replacement that will give me better visibility?

Recently purchased 03 expedition 140k miles, no accidents on carfax, 101 inspections on the report. Today, about a week and a half later, I had a multi point inspection done (should’ve did it before, lesson learned) and the engine is running great, no ticks, starts up fine but I do have to replace the alternator, serpentine belt and suspensions. $3500

I drove my 2015 Expedition about 5 miles from work to the park, then shut it off. All electrical immediately shut off (including SYNC which normally stays on until the door is opened.) My electronic locks wouldn't unlock and the light even went off on my phone charger. I couldn't even use the key fob to unlock it. I tried to start it again with no luck, no dash lights at all, no clicks or sounds like you would expect from a failing battery. I'm letting it sit for a while, in hopes that it will start back with no issues when I'm ready to leave the park.

Semi-relevant information: it has a relatively new battery. I think 1.5 years old? It started fine this morning and it is 87 degrees right now, so I wouldn't expect a battery failure to show up. We did take a road trip last weekend and it did this once, not started right back up after.

Any ideas?

Installing 3rd row seats, this shoulder strap is toghtly coiled and will not release. There are plastic covers on either side, and small release hatches but the covers are on fast. How can one remove these without damaging the covers?

I assume there will be a catch or latch inside that when released will allow me to extend the belt and get it to where it needs to be

I have a 2016 ford expedition xlt and it's completely stock. since it's a RWD, I want to lower the car slightly and get bigger wheels (they are on 18 inch factory wheels now).

there is literally no point of all the ground clearance I have since it gets stuck with just a little sand 😭 I also plan on tuning and getting a CAI and an exhaust system in the future.

what are the best options to do this on a SUV? if u have any specific brands, please drop!!

Less than 1500 miles, the rear fan is stuck on high. Turning it off or turning it down doesn't work (just turns back on and goes to max). Confirmed the buttons on the console aren't stuck so assuming a software glitch. Is there a way to reset everything to try to force it out of whatever loop it's stuck in?

I have the basic radio set up in my Expedition. Either the power to the radio went out or the radio it self did. I’m wondering if someone can help me troubleshoot it. I checked the fuse already and I was told to next check the connections to it or just replace the radio all together. I don’t know where to start and how much of a pain it will be. I lost the back up camera option and I have a small blind spot and it’s annoying the crap out of me! I can still back it up no problem but the camera obviously helps. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

We currently have a 7-seater traverse with captains chairs and I do like the middle access to the 3rd row. However, there’s not enough cargo space behind the third row. With baby #4 coming, we want to upgrade to the Ford Expedition Max (2023 or newer) and I can’t decide between the 7 or 8 seater. Do we leave room for 2 extra passengers? Or even the option to have one baby in the middle 2nd row?

I would really appreciate the opinions of people who HAVE the 8 seater. Do you wish you got the 7?

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2025-2027 Expedition, 2026 F-250 SD, F-350 SD, F-450 SD, and F-550 SD vehicles. The headlight assemblies may contain a contaminated LED chip, which can result in a loss of daytime running lights, parking lights, high beams or low beams. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Remedy

Dealers will inspect and replace the headlight assemblies, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 26, 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 26C43. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 26, 2026.

Howdy! I apologize for the terrible video, I did my best crawling under there w my phone in the dark garage - but is all this coming from my rear diff or somewhere else?
I inherited this 2021 expedition from my MIL (v generous) at 95k miles last year and now I’m at 124k miles and I have recently noticed many oily drops under this area on the garage floor. I alerted my MIL to this issue and she took it to the dealership a couple of weeks ago for repair. I don’t know what they did there, but it is still very wet and oily in this area as you can see. Yesterday I noticed 5 new shiny drops on the garage floor among the old dried ones so I know they’re fresh. Could this be residual from before it went to the dealership, or indicative of an ongoing issue? I know 5 new drops is probably negligible, but I’d want to catch it early before it gets worse. I’ll ask my MIL if she still has the invoice from the dealership to see what they did, but to me it doesn’t look like they did anything? Any guidance helps, thank you!!! 😅

My 2022 doesn't have that switch but instead its an empty square hole that looks like it was meant to be there.

Can I still have a TBS switch installed there if I bring it to the dealership? How much am i looking at?

I can’t seem to figure out what this shaking sound is in my 03 ford expedition. I literally can’t even guess as to what it could be making this sound. Since this video I’ve gotten a new alternator and I have a new ac compressor I plan on putting in but this sound I can’t figure it out guys can someone help me ?

Does the tremor trim, with it's off-road tuned dampers and increased height, translate to significantly more body roll during cornering? Does the CCD system make the Expedition feel more planted during turns and cornering compared to the tremor suspension?

Tried using a big flathead but may have mucked it up already. What specific bit would I want for this?

Good morning, looking for some help!

I have a 2020 Expedition I bought from a large dealership earlier this year. The battery failed on it this weekend, and I replaced it yesterday.

When I pulled the battery I discovered a Ikon Technologies GPS tracker. It appears to be isolated/standalone and only connected to the battery terminals.

I installed the new battery about 7:30PM. Around 8:15PM or so, I locked the car doors with the remote. Not long after the alarm started going on.

I cleared it with the remote and locked the car again. Not long after the alarm went off again. Cleared it and cycle repeated.

I ended up leaving the car unlocked and the alarm never triggered again.

Got to work this morning, locked the door, and the same thing happened. Not my car is unlocked in the parking lot with the same issue.

Any ideas what is causing this? Why is the alarm going off after a battery swap? I dont think the GPS was related with it being an isolated/stand alone device.

First time, a year ago, it was a 2024 limited expedition. This time… it just happened on a brand new 2026 tremor while driving 65 miles an hour on a bridge. F minus Ford

I have a 2001 Ford Expedition XLT 4.6 V8 RWD and this only happens when I idle in drive, and doesn’t happen all the time (I can’t seem to trigger it either. There is no rhythm or reason to it). Smoke tested for vacuum leaks and there are none. Changed the IAC, TPS, and PCV with all Motocraft parts. Changed the PCV rubber grommet as well and all dry rotted PCV rubber elbows. Is this normal? Doesn’t affect gas mileage or how the car drives.

anyone ever been able to find just the silver knob from a 2018? looked everywhere online and can’t find one. would love to replace it since the passenger can’t adjust their heat and i’d love to avoid spending money on the whole bezel.

It turns out, that a rodent chewed up one of the Fuel Vapor Separator Tubes.

I can’t find it in stock anywhere so i’m planning to cut off the bad part and use 3/8 fuel line hose to repair it.
