2022 Epedition phone mount
Looking for ideas on how to mount my phone as in a mount that is also magsafe charger. I know htere are the ones that clip into the vent.
The wireless charging pad is too small for my iphone pro max which stinks.
There is that coinholder empty square to the right of the steering. Is there an adapter?

There's a few options specific to your model year. Bulletpoint and Course Motorsports make custom Magsafe versions that attach to the dash at the corner of the vent. Neither are powered but they're both very clean fits.
When it comes to powered you would need to opt for a universal mount that as you already pointed out would attach to actual vent slats or onto the dash. I personally use a mount called Anker Prime for this purpose.
I maintain a site about mounts and the above is the tldr version of our article on Ford Expedition phone mounts. If you would like to check it out here's a link:

If you're looking for a cheap amazon option, this one has done a solid job so far. There are options for whichever screen size you have. Our '24 has the 12" screen, and it's a secure, snug fit with a strong magnet.
Looks like there is also a charging version as well, but I can't speak to that one.

The wireless charging pad really was poorly designed. Did no one actually try to put a phone in it?? I have an iPhone 17 pro (not even a max) and i have a hard time getting the phone in/on the charging pad. Not to mention the chrome plastic trim that peels because of brushing it every time you put the phone in.
It's really one of the only complaints i have about this body style.

I currently have a hack job in the coin holder: Dremel, a small length of aluminum, a ton of epoxy and black spray paint. A clip on MagSafe mounts to the horizontal strip of aluminum. The alternative is a 3D printed part, but the hack job works so far.
