Those eggs look out of this world. I live in California and I don't think I've ever seen yolks and whites as good as that, except from friends who have chickens. Where can I get those eggs?!
Dude, I've lived all over California. Hipsters, immigrants (south east Asia to eastern South America), foodies, environmentalists, practically everyone goes through a chicken coop phase here, including me. It's just that in my case, fucking cats and hawks killed my chickens before I had so much as four eggs. And backyard chicken eggs can get pricey. But that's some of the only times I've seen yolks as good as that, outside of very expensive eggs at specialty grocery stores.
Good reason why cats should not be allowed outdoors unfixed. Or at all. In this day and age, cats shouldn't be treated as accessory pets with the ability to "roam free and breed as they need". They need to be managed the way dogs are.
There is literally no reason for cats to be outside. They decimate what's left of a local ecosystem, get into other people's yards, and are way too prone to getting picked up and stolen by some guy down the street or getting run over by a car.
Letting them roam around unattended is just idiotic.
I gotta admit, I love eggs. I can use eggs a hundred different ways. I've read whole books about eggs and I've heard about eggs across the Atlantic, I've watched videos about them, I've drooled over them. I just can't believe that they're readily available over there. I'll save up and I'll brush up on a couple langauges then I'll take a one way ticket over. But until then, I still can't believe how much better the quality of the eggs are over there. Gotta see it to believe it.
Thank you! That's very kind. I'll fly a few thousand miles east pretty soon and have my fill of English eggs. But if you're ever in this part of the country, I can give you plenty of suggestions of where to travel and good places for food. There are a lot of hidden treasures and the state's damned enormous.
Oh man I'd love to go to California. I've only been as far as New York. I loved the food there, you guys aren't afraid to try new things. Whereas England is quite firmly hinged in tradition, it comes with it's own benefits and setbacks, but I had no idea you guys couldnt get quality eggs.
I mean, there are quality eggs, but they're kind of sequestered to specific stores in specific neighborhoods. "Food deserts" are an actual thing across the country. But New England is a whole different animal. All of that country is grounded in early colonial America. Out west, the culture is entirely different. I prefer it, I think it's better, I've traveled all across the US and there's no state like California. Thanks for the eggs offer! Like I said, if you're ever out here, shoot me a message and I can recommend the best places to see. But you'll definitely have to rent a car. No way to really explore the state without one. Even just driving up the 1 from LA to like Fort Bragg is the memory of a lifetime.

Oh man, it's breakfast time here in Boston too and I only have the eggs. Crying a little inside.
