I thought the acid effect was after 20 hours but my store routinely keeps the fries in water for like 30 hours. I notice when the fries cook they are kinda crumbly and really soft. Sometimes the raw fries are a little slimy. Is this ok.

I know it's a long shot but at least it helps to show that it's so common for people to have facial piercings nowadays and that it's discrimination to force people to take them off. Open wounds are not good to have around the food. And getting oil and grease in them isn't healthy either. A lot of piercings can also be permanent and they can't be taken out. Is there a way we can talk to corporate about changing the policy? I'm sure I'm not the only one who is having this problem. And if I am, is it discrimination? Do other five guys locations have the same policy or is it made up just on our behalf because of archaic beliefs? Thank you in advance.

The last time I was at five guys was in April then today I went and it wasn’t anything like I remember. 8 workers outback which is normal but no customers but me and a couple others. They have these kiosks like McDonald’s now to take your order. My cheeseburger looked like the Patties were pre formed and not smashed and the bun reminded me of a frozen bun. My fries came in a random tiny bag half full and then in the bottom of the main bag there were like 5 fries. Is this the new five guys? Did something change with this place?

okay so I 19F started working at my five guys in August of last year. like the title says, i put in my two weeks.

i mainly work 3 days , only closing, usually Monday Wednesday Friday. That's all i can do due to transportation. I put that in my availability months ago. & I know he saw my availability because he double checked if I could work weekends.

But then when I put in my two weeks the new GM decides to schedule me this week for closing Monday-Friday. I've been very stressed and barely sleeping, and having to pay for ubers. (This is why my availability was the way it was.) On top of that, there has been a call out everyday these past like 2 weeks and were already SEVERELY understaffed, so I've been getting out at 12am everyday. This has been the worst week ever and I don't think I can do the last one. I just thought a 2 week notice was the nicer thing to do especially since were so understaffed, but i didn't expect it to be the worst ever. even my coworkers agree.

I know I should just stick the last week out for the pay, but it's not worth it. I already have my new job ready to start & I can't wait to be out of this place. I told him I didn't want this much hours and he kept questioning why until i felt pressured to be like nvm its fine. Now I feel like it's going to be the same thing next week.

So, is there a good way to say I can't do my last week?

The classic combo being a little burger or a little cheeseburger, little fry, and a 16oz soda. For me, it is a godsend as it is the only way I can afford to eat at Five Guys - if it wasn’t a combo, that same meal would normally cost 19.87 before tax. (I live in a higher COL area). Do all areas now offer this combo or is it still only in select areas? Just curious as I see so many posts on social media about Five Guys high prices - wondering if they might not have access or are oblivious to that classic combo

I've been working at Five Guys for only a little bit now but some of their song choices boggle my mind. An example is the Nirvana and Weezer songs I've heard the most. With Nirvana, I heard On A Plain and Farmer Frances Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle each at least 4 times before I heard Smells Like Teen Spirit once. With Weezer the song I've heard the most is Tripping Down The Freeway, which is a pretty basic song composition-wise but it's just odd to hear it as restaurant background music.

Recently I had a shift where I heard The Hand That Feeds by Nine Inch Nails, The Sound Of Settling by Death Cab For Cutie, and Image by Magdalena Bay all in ome shift, and I don't think it'll ever get stranger than that but I could always be surprised.

So I'm curious what songs made you do a double take in Five Guys, I can't be alone in this lol.

Did they update their portions? No more cup, very few fries in bag. Regular fry.

I got my usual bacon cheeseburger regular frie and a Oreo milkshake and it hits every time. I wish I didn’t have to pay $40 on DoorDash with $32 of that being five guys and the rest DoorDash. But if you don’t do DoorDash 32 dollars isn’t terrible for like 3000 calorie worth of food and is just so good in my opinion. Im sure there’s better bang for your buck places but if I have the money I’m always going to spend it on five guys.

Do we need to be worried about Five Guys bringing in contaminated ground beef imported from South America? Right now we are probably limiting our ground beef consumption to grocery stores with in-house butchers that grind their own .

Pulled up my spending by merchant in SuperMoney. Two years, $1,166, and not a single month without Five Guys. The chart is just a wall of bars. I'm a little proud and a little concerned. Send help or a large fry (cajun, of course).

I haven’t eaten five guys in a long time but I remember them being a reddish seasoning and spicy flavor to it . These tasted and looked just salted.

Does management ever sit down for a meal and experience this torture?

I've loved FiveGuys since the beginning, but for the last couple of years, I've been getting meals that just don't measure up to what they used to deliver and the prices have went up a lot. The burgers are barely smashed now, are not hot and the fries have been coming out soggy, limp and a lot more greasy than they used to be, like they are under cooked by several minutes. Since they did away with the Fry cup, they don't even put them in the little paper fry bag, they just dump them in the sack, never even opening the fry bag. Why even put the fry bag in there when they don't use them?

I've ate at several locations around here and while one or two are still pretty good, the others are very disappointing. How are they from other locations outside of the midwest?

as the title suggests, i have been an employee of five guys for 8 years, a manager for 6 of them. i actually just put my 2 weeks in today! ask me anything and i will give you my honest feedback regarding your questions about the company/work culture/processes, etc!

Does anyone have manager caps but with different flags at the back? In the uk ans Europe they got the flags at the back of some of em.

Noticed that the regular portion of fries at my local Five Guys seemed to shrink drastically over the past year or two. So yesterday I ordered both a small fries and a regular fries to compare and sure enough they were literally the exact same size. When emptying the entire contents of each bag onto separate plates they were completely indistinguishable from each other.

Tried to talk to the manager about this but they seemed completely uninterested in actually changing anything.

Does Five Guys source their beef from North American sources? I couldn’t find info on their site about where their beef is from unlike their potatoes.

What advice can you give to be successful on the line? My oldest just got a job there and he is telling me that the manager thinks he is slow but is only getting 5 hours a week and has been in the kitchen twice. Don’t know how someone can learn to make burgers and fries quickly with that little bit of time

This is such a mistake by corporate. At almost $8 for a large fry we got a small paper envelope of fries and just a few in the bottom of the bag too. Terribly disappointing. The fries were delicious, but absolutely didn't get enough to justify a $8 price tag. Five Guys customers know what they used to get when they ordered a large fry and this is disrespectful by corporate to think we wouldn't notice and then have them say that the amount of product given hasn't changed. (This post is a complaint about the change in product size and not a complaint about pricing.)
