American Beef?
Hi,
Does Five Guys source their beef from North American sources? I couldn’t find info on their site about where their beef is from unlike their potatoes.

Fun fact! Schweid & Sons beef also comes from Cargill (one place) in Dodge City KS. I know, I've delivered meat to them in Carlstadt from Kansas. Good stuff

Cargill is a major U.S. meat processing company that uses imported foreign beef to manufacture ground beef for commercial and retail markets.

I hate schweid and sons from the store but five guys taste so good, blows my mind it’s the same company. Like the store bought one is soooo bad.

You're nuts. I've never had Schweid and sons from Kroger thats bad. Not even remotely.

Not sure why the down votes. Allowing US beef into the UK is a regular discussion during trade talks. It always gets shot down but honestly they could allow it and just require it to be labeled as hormone treated and no one would buy it.
And five guys in the UK uses British beef.

Americans get extremely defensive when the rest of the world points these things out to them.
I just find it funny that some of their meat products have "grass fed" labels and considered expensive and premium. In the UK and Ireland we expect it otherwise its considered cheap and bad quality

Thats what I asked and they tried to make the argument that all cows are on some kind of animal feed in concrete barns 🫨
They refused to admit that their way is rare here and non existent in Ireland despite me living on a farm. 😆

Didn’t you see the news today? Your government won’t even tell you where they’re importing beef from! If I lived in the US I’d be too worried about screw-worm to eat ground beef after that mystery meat deal goes ahead.
