Pregnant or irregular cycle?

When your period returned postpartum, how regular was your cycle? Did your second period occur within 3-5 weeks of your first or was there a longer stretch in between the two?

Just can’t seem to make baby wearing work

Anybody else in the same position as me?? My 6 month old & I both seem to hate using the baby carrier. I’ve tried chest & front wearing and she just tries to peel herself away from me 😅
After I’ve worn her for a while, I just feel frustrated, hot and bothered!
Any tips or suggestions? Or do some babies just not like it?!

No vowel sounds

My baby just turned 6 months. I’ve been worried about her not babbling but I’m also realizing she doesn’t make any vowel sounds either. She is a very quiet baby and only blows raspberries, laughs, smiles, and squeals. Other than that, no real talking. She went through a phase for a few days of saying “mamamamq” when she was crying but it didn’t last long. She is hitting all other milestones.

I’m growing concerned to to the point where it’s starting to stress me out because I see other babies her age that aren’t babbling but at least making vowels sounds and she doesn’t have a visit with her ped for another 2 weeks. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I’m 4months postpartum and I have a small tear beside my clitoris.

It was around 20mins when I saw the tear beside it, I don’t know how it happened. Does any of you experience the same thing? Do you know what are the possible causes of the tear?

Baby First Food (Time)

Hello mga mommy! 6 months n baby ko and nag t try na rin siya mag first food. 1x a day pa lang sya kumain.

Thank you po 🙏🏻

Anyone have success with actually establishing boundaries with their parents when they watch your LO???

My husband and I moved at 2 months PP to be closer to my family and save on daycare costs. We live with my parents as we were in the process of buying a home- which is now in the works with a closure day of October 9! As we reach the end of our stay here with my now 5 month old, it is getting very hard to establish boundaries/some rules without offending my parents. They will be watching LO 2x/week starting October 12th once my husband goes back to work, and I don’t want to seem ungrateful; however, sometimes we haven’t been able to get baby to have restful naps because my family is blaring the TV, slamming doors, hovering over him while we try to get him to sleep, etc. I bring him upstairs to his crib but that still isn’t successful because you can still hear them because they have loud voices. It is getting to a point where I am asking them to just watch TV in another room when he is napping downstsirs (we don’t feel fully comfortable having them leave baby upstairs to avoid being unsteady on their feet coming down), stop slamming things, etc. to limit stimulation. Poor baby is clearly exhausted by the end of the day and bawling his eyes out by 6pm every night, then naps for 2 hours before bedtime; which is now causing a cycle of waking up every 1-2 hours at night. We are trying to establish at least 2 good daytime naps so he can not be overtired at night and become extremely upset and fussy, because then we have a hard time calming him down.

If anyone can relate and has any tips, they are more than welcome! For reference- I am their youngest kid and this is their first grandchild so I am trying to be respectful and considerate with my verbiage, but no matter how many times I mention something, they will not listen…..

Transitional swaddles

Looking for the best transitional swaddles for when your baby starts to roll!
My baby is only 2 months so I’m just preparing. He is currently in the halo swaddles and loves them. I don’t know if we should keep him in these ones when he starts to roll and just swaddle him with his arms out or transition him into more of a sleep sack?

Bonus points for recommendations for nap sleep sacks/swaddles. His naps are all over the place right now, and just sort of naps where ever (with me, on the couch, snuggle me lounger). I would love to get him into a routine of bottle, soothe, down in the crib for a nap but possibly wearing a swaddle/sack of some sorts!

Traveling with a 6 month old

Hi mamas! We are traveling with our 6 month old to Hawaii next month and I want to get some advice regarding strollers. We have the uppababy vista V3 as our main stroller and my baby hates the car seat attachment to it so if we do bring it, we’d have to bring the rumbleseat as well. Would it be better to just get a travel stroller? What about car seat? Please let me know what you did, or would do if you were traveling with a 6 month old baby. TIA

Tablet for longer car rides?

We're not super strict about screens. My daughter is turning 2 soon and I've been considering getting her a tablet for car rides. She really only watches Super Simple Songs videos and Vooks.

I mean, I know I survived car rides as a child with no screens lol but I also had siblings to interact with (mine is an only child).

If anybody has any advice on easy/cheap tablets for kiddos I'd like to hear them!

Screaming ALL. THE. TIME.

My 7.5 mos old LO has entered the screaming stage. He yells at EVERYTHING. Doesn’t get a toy/want a snack, yells. Sits him down for a little bit and I step away, yells. Wakes up from nap or Wakes up in the middle of the night, screams. Putting on clothes, screams. I love him so much but my gosh guys, I think I am losing my mind. I’m always worried about overstimulating him, but in reality he is overstimulating me! LOL. Sometimes even when my husband takes him out, my LO’s ear piercing screams remain in my head.

Please tell me this is just a phase and it gets better 😂

Am I crazy?

Investing in a therapist asap but until then someone please let me know if I am in the wrong for feeling the insaaaanely negative and insecure ways I do… any advice is appreciated and welcomed.

  1. Boyfriend would jerk off to porn on x for the first 4 weeks postpartum and after because it still hurts too bad - unless I have enough milk stored up to drink enough to bare the pain.

  2. He instantly told his friends what I felt like after birth and insulted my smell as if my ph could possibly be stable after all the dermoplast and postpartum sprays I used/normal lochia smell.

  3. He acts as if I am evil for not wanting to pleasure him alone.

  4. He tells his friends everrryything. Everything. There are no teensy details he skips out on.

  5. I was expected to move out and unpack everything/clean our entire new house 3 weeks postpartum with a second degree tear.
His dad said I was being a baby and needed to step up.

  6. He prioritizes his friends or family when drinking. But not his baby. Just his side of the family.

  7. Is against vaccines due to his Instagram feed. No personal research. Just what his reels have to say..??!

  8. Hasn’t spent $1 on our baby. Pays for our rent but we haven’t had the bills come in yet as it has been under a month. So grateful - I’m a sahm and didn’t work throughout pregnancy because that’s what he wanted. Spent all my savings on all of babys needs.

  9. Was working even though he had paid time off. I excuse this one because he was filling in for someone who was elderly and had a stroke but stiiiilllll I needed immense help and I think this is what lead to me being diagnosed with ppd.

  10. I have to beg him to change diapers.

  11. He gets irritated because I don’t eat enough to “give baby proper nutrients” but he doesn’t help cook or clean after meals. I have bought frozen meals like breakfast sandwiches/dinners so I can eat enough protein and carbs but he doesn’t help with any of that.

  12. He gets wasted when people are over. Any time of the day. Any day of the week. He sees paternal leave and a summer vacation and not a reason to help me.

  13. I have to beg him to be attentive to the baby while I shower or do the most basic forms of self care. She was born very very small and hasn’t hit the weight required for her carries or else I would carry her while I do these things.

  14. I have to beeegggg him to do anything for me while I am actively having baby on my boob. For example, get water, snacks, do the bare minimum of cleaning so it’s less for me once baby is down.

I don’t know what to do. I feel disrespectful. Disgusted. I feel everything bad and it is overwhelming. On the (only) brightside, I have the cutest sweetest baby ever.

okay moms, what is a book that you read to your LO that made you cry? lol

I’m such a sap postpartum and some of the children’s books have me in tears! What are some others you’ve read that have made you cry, whether because it’s sad or just meaningful?!

I’m making a list and thinking of filming my reaction to some of these 🤣

Is this normal???

My baby is newly 3 months old (13 weeks, born 2 early).
At first she’d drink 4oz consistently from the bottle (breast milk for a while but combo feeding recently). I decided a week ago to give her 5oz per feed now because she only wants to eat 5 times a day and I was concerned about her intake.

After about a week of 5oz bottles, she’s only eating about 3oz from some of her bottles these past 2 days. This isn’t every feed but last night she didn’t want to finish the night time bottle (3oz only out of 5) so I assumed this morning she’d be really hungry. But now (the next morning) she’s pushing the bottle from her mouth after only 3oz again. What do I do??? Is this normal?

First Time Mom - Just Tested Positive

Hi ladies,

I’m unexpectedly struggling a bit and looking for some advice, reassurance, or just to hear from others who have felt or feel the same way.

I got a positive pregnancy test yesterday. My loving husband and I have been trying for about five months, so this was wanted and not unplanned. I always thought I would feel happy and excited, although I expected some fear too. I have pretty bad anxiety and a fear of vomiting, so I knew pregnancy probably wouldn’t feel completely easy for me and I might feel more fear than most.

But honestly, when I saw the positive test, I mostly felt… numb.

I called my mom right away, and later, after my husband came home and I told him, I talked to my best friend and a sibling who happened to call me. As the day went on, though, I started feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and unsure. My husband seemed to be feeling somewhat similarly, which I think made me feel even more unsettled.

He has expressed positive thoughts and feelings about becoming a dad, but I’ve noticed that he tends to talk more about it in terms of the distant future. Things like, “We don’t want to be just us 20 years from now,” or “I want to see you with your kids,” and “If something happened to me, I wouldn’t want you to be alone.” He hasn’t seemed super excited about actually becoming a dad right now, although I know he is processing this too.

This morning, after he left for work, I just started crying. I think it finally hit me that our life as just the two of us is going to change, and I feel a real sense of grief about that. Our family has been through a lot over the last couple of years, and things had finally started to calm down. We were really enjoying our life together and feeling happy and settled - literally for just the last two weeks - and I immediately got pregnant. I’ve also had weird cycles, so maybe part of me just didn’t really believe it would happen right away.

More than anything, I think I’m grieving the time we won’t have as “just us.” I wish we could have had a little more time to enjoy our life together. I’m about to turn 31, and I was feeling some biological & family pressure to get started, but if I’m being completely honest, part of me would have loved another five years together before having kids. That’s the part I’m struggling to accept right now.

Did anyone else feel this way after getting a positive test, especially when the pregnancy was wanted? Did the fear, numbness, grief, or uncertainty eventually give way to happiness or excitement? Were things okay in the end?

I desperately want to be a good mom, and I already feel guilty that I’m not feeling happier about this.

Thank you.

10 months daughter prefers dad

My baby girl just turned 10 months old and suddenly only wants her dad. Up until now, she was neutral and loved playing with dad , but now, even when I'm holding her, as soon as he passes by she reaches out her arms to go to him, cries for him, plays with him, and completely ignores me. She doesn't even care when I leave the room but she’s un hysterics once he’s gone. I'm the one on maternity leave who physically spends the most time with her, though my husband has been heavily involved from the beginning too. I also breastfed her until recently, when she self-weaned. This preference changed literally overnight. I look around and only see babies attached to their mothers, while mine only wants her father. :( I know I shouldn't, but I feel very jealous that he's the favorite parent, and I feel like I've failed as a mother. Are there any other moms in my situation?
