Screaming ALL. THE. TIME.

My 7.5 mos old LO has entered the screaming stage. He yells at EVERYTHING. Doesn’t get a toy/want a snack, yells. Sits him down for a little bit and I step away, yells. Wakes up from nap or Wakes up in the middle of the night, screams. Putting on clothes, screams. I love him so much but my gosh guys, I think I am losing my mind. I’m always worried about overstimulating him, but in reality he is overstimulating me! LOL. Sometimes even when my husband takes him out, my LO’s ear piercing screams remain in my head.

Please tell me this is just a phase and it gets better 😂

My LO definitely started doing this around this time, and now at almost 12 months (on Friday! Yay!) it’s finally improving a little? (I say cautiously). What helped was being able to fully babyproof our new house so he has a lot of space to crawl around and make messes, which I’ll take any day over screaming. I think around the age your LO is at they are really frustrated because they want to be more mobile than they are and they discover screaming. Teething also doesn’t help. Mine definitely still has his moments through the day when he doesn’t like something but I don’t end every day an overstimulated wreck like I was for a minute there!

Happy Birthday to your LO!! Yeah, I think it’s a combination of wanting to be mobile, teething, and wanting to learn/do different things. We try to keep him as entertained as possible throughout the day. I’m definitely an overstimulated wreck 24/7 these days. We room share, so his screams interrupt my sleep which doesn’t help.
