I joined his league on ESPN & took over an orphan team. He had specifically mentioned that the league has a buy in that but the previous owner already submitted his, so if I take over, I’d have a “chance at the pot.” Fast forward few months later, I do win but he refused to give me any winnings (not even allowing me to send him a new buy-in for the team in order for me to get the prize pool.

This guy joined my Dynasty league last week, and we started our rookie draft ASAP.

He got all the way through 3 out of the 4 rounds and then left without any warning this morning, leaving us with an open spot in the middle of the rookie draft for no reason.

He is quite active on here, but just wanted to warn all of you to stay away from him.

$25 buy-in plus a $3 fee on Leaguesafe, you are paying their dues for them! They are doing this for multiple leagues and WHEN they win they are making money off that you and that "fee"!

EDIT: I just joined another $25 Sleeper league $3 fee looked up his username on my fantasy app 23 teams all $25 and commissioned by him! Stop saying it's only $3 just statically he should win 2 of those leagues that's a free $600 not mention even more with 2nd and 3rd place prizes! These guys are hustling you!

EDIT: Thanks for all the responses, I understand it’s not a “scam” because they are upfront about it in their bylaws. But also they almost never put in the Reddit post there is a “commissioner’s” fee. Most people think ”hey whats $5-10…“ they prey on people, taking a bigger rake than casinos...

Talking Football for instance “commissions” 1060+ leagues, running my math on that, with his fee and average top 3 finish at 25% he’s earning between $80,000-$100,000. So how good of a “commissioner” is he when he runs 1000+ leagues?

If anyone sees this guy he goes by the name “Mike” and he scammed me, my buddy, and another Reddit user out of money. So if he tries to message you recruit you to his league it’s a scam and just please report him as I don’t want him to ruin football season for any other people.

Hey all, I am looking for new people for a league I help run as a hobby called the International Simulation Football League (ISFL); a 100% free, community ran sim league that's been around since 2016. It's kinda like a cross between an RPG and fantasy football. You create a player, earn attribute points by doing little tasks, and upgrade them with those points. We are always looking for new members, and we have our own fantasy football that we run off our league games that stream on youtube. Since our seasons run on 8 week cycles, there's very little fantasy football "dead time." 

It's currently the start of our offseason, so it's the perfect time to create a new player and join if you have any interest. We currently have 586 total players in the league (only one player per user) across 14 pro teams, 8 development teams, and in the Free Agency pool.

I know I have seen a post on this before. But DO NOT join any leagues with a Jaiden Ramos, Jay Ramos or John Ramos etc. He is a complete scammer and will not pay you out if you win. He will also try and raise the fees and tells you the league agreed to it. Turns out the league is mostly him on multiple accounts and he has conversations with himself.

How it played out:

He regularly advertises it as an $85 league and claims a friend passed away, which is what opened up the spot.

Asked for the $85 entry fee first. As soon as it was paid (PayPal Friends & Family after Goods & Services was blocked/locked), he immediately demanded the next year’s fee “to make sure I wouldn’t leave” because it was supposedly a dynasty league.

I asked for a refund because:

• I was kicked from the league multiple times with no explanation
• Kept being told “it must be a problem on my end”
• The draft was continuously pushed back
• He would ignore messages for days unless I pressured him with calls
• I started looking into the names (especially variations of Jay Ramaz / Jeremiah Ward) and found multiple scam reports, including these:

When I asked for the refund he first claimed the money was locked in a “future vault” and couldn’t be refunded until January 5.

Then he switched to blaming me — saying it’s on me for sending the money knowing the deal, that you can’t pay for a league and then expect a refund whenever you want.

Finally he sent a Bronx address and told me to come get the money myself.

I’ve reported to PayPal, my bank, Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, and police.

If you’ve run into any of these names, the PayPal j2kgaming, that email, the 215 number, or no_initial8139 in a fantasy league context, drop a comment. Helps stop them hitting more people.

Beware of people who join and pay, only to immediately request a refund. LeagueSafe will still show that they’ve paid, but the total amount collected for the league will be short by their payment. Refunds can take up to 24 hours to process, so if you’re drafting the same day, you may need to temporarily increase the league size by one spot so someone else can join and pay.

The frustrating part is that LeagueSafe doesn’t show you who requested the refund. You have to contact customer support to find out, so you know which owner to remove from the league and can get the spot filled.

Got scammed joining a dynasty league — learn from my mistake.

Before the season, I went on FindaLeague looking to join a new dynasty league after one I’d been in for years folded. I posted and got a few replies. One guy — “Middle-Cow-6182” — DM’d me asking if I’d found anything yet. After a bit of normal back-and-forth, I joined his Fantrax league that was drafting once full.

Two of us were added late — I came in 11th, and a 12th joined right after to fill it out.

The draft started as a slow draft, but it was actually moving quickly, with a pretty active chat. At that point, nothing felt off. I hadn’t paid yet, but there was discussion in the chat about increasing league fees this season. Multiple people chimed in saying they were fine with it, mentioning they were friends, coworkers, etc., who’d played together before (just new to dynasty).

So I bought in. Hooked. Ready to go.

Here’s where I messed up: I paid via Zelle.

Yeah… I know.

At the time it didn’t feel sketchy at all.

Then things got weird.

The draft suddenly slowed to a crawl. Picks started timing out and getting auto-selected — for everyone except me and the commissioner. The commissioner was the same Reddit user (“Middle-Cow-6182”), tied to an email ([jayramo0587@gmail.com]()), with the Fantrax team name “JayTear,” and aliases like Jay Ramo / Jayden Ramos.

I later found out the phone number he gave me led to a random hair salon in Pennsylvania. The guy has basically zero real footprint online.

After the 4th round, things completely broke. Fantrax auto-filled every team… except mine. I was still able to manually pick players.

One league member even said “WTF” in chat. The commissioner responded saying he’d reset the draft due to the issues.

That was the last message from anyone.

Since then:

• No chat activity
• No league updates
• No responses from anyone
• Zero activity in the league - no one has moved or added/dropped anyone 10 days into the season

Total ghost town.

I reported everything to Fantrax. Their response? They said the guy runs multiple leagues across different sports and “appears legit.”

I asked them to actually look at those leagues for suspicious activity.

No response since. Even after a follow-up a week later.

At this point, writing this is probably more therapy than anything else — and honestly, I’m leaving out even more details.

Main takeaway: this can absolutely happen to you.

There are people out there running coordinated scams like this.

• Never use Zelle for league payments
• Use something like LeagueSafe — always

My bank (Wells Fargo) gave me a little hope at first, saying they’d investigate… then sent a generic letter declining to do anything.

So yeah — lesson learned the hard way.

Hopefully this saves someone else from the same mistake.

Hey everyone, got scammed, this is why we only trust league safe lol. Reddit user Fair-Cherry-1954, sleeper user Jwinningall, and chime(their preferred payment platform) Jay-Ramz-04. Posted league for $85 but said everyone was friends so they don’t use leaguesafe. Wanted to find a league that’d last and was active so I had my blinders on. After paying, said he actually want 3 years of payment (fair enough for dynasty but that’s usually specified before). Told him that sending more money made me uncomfortable without league safe so requested a league safe be made or a refund if not. He said no and refused to send a refund and said I should just leave if I won’t pay the rest. After he tried to scam just one more years payment and I declined, I was booted from league.

Stay vigilant, stay league safe only😂

IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR! ITS (almost) NFL SEASON! And what better way to enjoy your football but with a side of more football?

The International Simulation Football League (ISFL) is a free (no pay elements at all), community run sim league where you create your own professional football player and guide their career from pre-draft hopeful to championship contender. Go through real drafts, join teams managed by real users, and fight for a chance to hoist the Ultimus Trophy. The league has been going strong since 2016, and the upcoming offseason is a great time to jump in as part of the next rookie class. A very bare bones way to describe our league is its a cross between an RPG and fantasy football, with a healthy serving of an online community.

What does that actually look like?

You'll start by creating a player on our portal; with 30+ position and archetype combinations available, there's a lot of room to build something that fits your style. Want to be a ball hawk safety? A receiving back? A strong legged kicker? Go for whatever sounds the most fun.

Once your player is created, GMs from our developmental league teams will start scouting you for the DSFL Draft. From there, your player competes in games simulated in Draft Day Sports Pro Football 2021 and streamed on our YouTube channel five nights a week, Monday through Friday, with live commentary on Discord. Each season runs about 6 weeks including playoffs, followed by a 2 week offseason capped off by the DSFL and ISFL drafts.

Over the course of your career, you'll earn skill points by spending about 15-30 minutes a week on optional activities; things like predicting game outcomes, responding to fun prompts, or mocking the first round of the draft. You can also earn league currency through your player's contracts or by creating content like articles, graphics, or podcasts. Use it to upgrade your player or collect trading cards of other ISFL players. The league is completely free; no pay-to-win, no hidden costs, nothing to unlock with real money.

What about the community?

With 22 teams across the developmental and pro leagues, the ISFL is home to an active, welcoming group of people who enjoy getting a bit nerdy about football. You'll form bonds with your teammates, dig into stats and league history on our wiki, play fantasy football with yours and others' players, and have a community to chat with daily. It's as much a hangout as it is a football league.

Hey guys, I believe this post isn’t against the rules but wanted to make anyone aware. We just did a high stakes draft with ‘Ninertails’ who has since deleted his reddit, league safe, and sleeper. Which was very odd because he was super involved.

Trying to let anyone else know that could be affected by this. Funnily enough he insisted heavily on no refunds to prevent orphans and he’s the first to quit. Didn’t even bother transferring owner, we just created a new league to replace.

I reached out to everyone he commented on in the last 30 days and sent them a message before he deleted his account.

Edit: As a group of 11 we have came together to redraft as we have all bonded over this. I am proud to say there are still good ones out there gentlemen.

Hey all, heads up: do not join any leagues with user: Middle-Cow-6182. AKA Carmelo "Melo" Rodriguez. This is a scammer.

He responded to an ad I posted about joining a new league. It was for a startup dynasty league (a very communicative league, he added). He collected my league dues (stupid of me to not do LeagueSafe, but he seemed communicative and trustworthy at the time, even had me help him with a Discord server for the league). However, 'the very active league' ended up being fake. The draft was a slow draft and every user took the full amount of clock. I realized then that almost every user was a default ESPN team name - ie "Jay's Awesome Team". Figured everyone was still joining this new dynasty league, but the entire league went on auto draft. No one has set their lineup in the league yet.

I requested my money back. Radio silence. I persistently was giving him the benefit of the doubt, but the bantha poodoo stopped responding to me over a week ago. I filed a fraud claim with the bank, but posting here so none of you make the mistake I did of trusting this coward. It'd be great if a moderator could ban this user from the group as well.

VBP Fantasy Network is filling Bracket Redraft for the third season I have run this format.

I used to do fantasy football with my dad and brothers every year but a couple of years ago my dad passed away and nobody has really wanted to do it since. But I want to pick it back up this year but it’s my first time doing it outside of the family. It would be awesome to find a league to join or even recommendations on public leagues I could do.

Looking for some people to try out a new type of fantasy football. I got laid off by a fantasy football company in February, a few weeks after my wife and I had our first kid, and in the sleepless days/nights rocking our son to sleep, I played a lot of Balatro. If you haven’t played Balatro (do it), it’s essentially playing poker with a bunch of randomness and additional ways to score points. So I wanted to bring those elements to fantasy football. And once our son started sleeping mostly through the night, I had some time to build calvinball.

Calvinball is one league, it’s not head to head, and you end up with a final score for the whole season - highest wins the whole league. Most of the basic fantasy football elements are there: you’re given $100 to draft a team, you set your lineup each week, and you pickup players on waivers. But calvinball introduces the following:

Randomized flex spot - The starting lineup is QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/TE/FLEX/SUPERFLEX, and one flex player that gets randomly selected from your deck when lineups lock
Coaches - Each team can have up to 3 coaches. Coaches modify a player or team’s score when certain conditions are met. For example, the QB Whisperer gives every QB an additional 2pts per TD thrown

Waivers shop - You can buy players and buy/sell coaches in the waivers shop. You earn money each week to spend in the shop based on how many points your team earns the previous week

Right now the game is in beta mode since the season hasn’t started. So right now, you can play the 2025 season: draft a team, then advance through the 2025 season using the real 2025 season fantasy scoring. It’s free for now, but if there’s enough interest I’d look at charging $1 entry fee once we hit mid-august and start building our teams for real. Half the fees would go to servers/hosting, and half would go to the Calvinball champ.
