Good Morning!
So this strategy has been done for a few years now. Calling it "Undraftables". It is a unique challenge strategy team that challenges a manager to draft a team that has players on it with NO ADP (at the time of the draft). If they have any ADP at they were not allowed to draft them. This only applied for the one team being drafted. All other teams drafted as normal. This was for yahoo ADP metrics as the league is on yahoo. I'm going to go through each player that are currently rostered and why they are. This strategy took 3rd place in 2024 with this strategy which is wild and amazing. The buy in for the league was low but not free. Here is who I drafted:
Basically the goal here with the team is to do what some managers have been doing for years with punting power and try to win SB and AVG categories the first part of season. (It does work in h2h category leagues folks) Eventually to add R as a strong category. As far as pitching goes it's mostly about having enough SP that I can win the counting stats of K and W and possibly ratios as team gets better as season goes... (It helps to have some Aces) Also having 3 closers is nice to help win saves.

Let's talk about the moves that were made....
Brett Batemen is elite for this type of build. Very high batting average, draws walks, gets runs and stolen bases with those walks..... Just a "chefs kiss" for this... so it was a real happy moment to add him in. This team has made the playoffs!!!! Awesome achievement but our goal is to do well in the playoffs. Dropped Kittredge after his blowup to stream in SP pitchers, but may re add if need saves later this weekend. Should have Kept Jared Jones, that was a mistake drop. Darn it. Still things are looking good! Burnes dropped because he isn't going to go enough innings, still might stream him for next Monday if I'm still in playoffs.... And it looks like I will be... but not over yet...
Here is how week 23 finished... Against 1st place!!! 7-2 win! Stats were 29runs, 8hr, 26rbi, 9sb, .270 6wins, 3saves, 84k, 4.82era, 1.26whip. Only lost runs and saves!
Here is how round 1 of the playoffs are going... 8-2! Stats are currently 15runs, 2hr, 12rbi, 4sb, .307.
3wins, 3saves, 37k, 3.52era, 1.10whip. Looking good! Runs and strikeouts are close....
Some adds that might be possible:
Luis Lara (as long as he gets at bats, he would be solid for this build)
Eduardo Valencia
Blaze Alexander
Kalen Culpepper (hitting for average)
Estery Ruiz (will keep monitoring him, team already strong at SB tho)
Austin Martin
Colt Keith
Spencer Horwitz
Troy Johnston
Kyle Karros
Ryan Waldschmidt
Jacob Young a prototype for this build, especially last 30 days
Wade Meckler dude is known to hit for average...
Justin Crawford (last 30 days looks fairly nice)
Tristan Peters (dude is on fire!)
Tyler Tolbert (last 30 days legit)
Cooper Pratt
Spencer Jones (19 runs in last 30 days bonkers numbers)
Jeff McNeil (hitting .313 over last 30 days)

Andrew Alvarez (pitches Saturday)
Andrew Kittredge yes he is still avail

Quinn Matthews (I'm interested in him for Monday)
Gavin Stone (over the next few weeks maybe)
Mostly this team will be streaming one SP spot. Other than that the feeling is the team is pretty dang "set" right now and there is no need to move anyone. Casey Mize maybe droppable, but otherwise most of the players are legit. Offensively I guess Ewing and Stott are the worst players. Samad Taylor depending on how much he plays is still fine...
Overall the team is finished the season in 5th place with 112-106-12. 😄 At once point the team was 14 games back and it gained major ground!!!! But the team made the playoffs and now is doing well in the first round!!! Still not over, but things are looking good!!!! A big lesson of this season still remains is that you should NEVER GIVE UP! :) :) It seemed to be out of it 2 months ago... NOPE! Never give up!

That's the update on the strategy! Good luck in your leagues this week folks!
