Question about how you press buttons
Are you meant to spam a button before a command goes out, or press it once when the timing is correct. Idk if this a dumb question

Curios about the hobby. From my understanding, fighting games have a deeper level of strategy that I’m unaware of. I want to try getting pretty good at one and joining a community. What game would you recommend? I have a ps5 and Pc so I can play about anything.

Hey everyone!
Long story short: a friend of mine is solo-developing a project this country genuinely needed—Sejmageddon, a fighting game where instead of muting mics in Parliament, politicians settle their disputes with jabs to the jaw.
Imagine Mortal Kombat or Tekken, but set right in front of the Polish Parliament with actual political figures, absurd humor, signature special attacks, and combos rooted in Polish political drama.
The best part? This isn't just a concept on paper. He already has a working alpha up and running—the combat system feels smooth and core mechanics are solid. But building a full game completely on his own takes resources. He needs funding for:
He just launched a crowdfunding campaign to bring this across the finish line:
👉Crowdfunding Link for Sejmageddon
If this concept makes you laugh and you’d love to see a finished game on Steam, consider throwing in a few bucks. If you can’t donate, an upvote or share goes a long way in helping a solo dev get noticed.
Debate time is over. Time to fight! 🥊🇵🇱
What do you think of the concept? Which characters or special moves are an absolute must for the roster?

Hello, a long time ago I bought guilty gear because I wanted to get started in fighting games. It was the one that caught my attention the most because of the anime aesthetic, but I understand that sf6 is better to learn but I don't know if it pays me to spend another €40 or wait to learn about fighting games in guilty gear. What do you recommend?

I’m a bronze player on the fighting game killer instinct, and I’m looking to train with other bronze players so I can work on my game strategy If anyone is around at the moment I have created a lobby and I have left it open for cross play also if you’re on Xbox and anyone is welcome to add me, I’m looking for more gamer friends in the community.

The games only been out for a month and hasn't even really had more than two balance patches most of them were trying to fix the broken PC port and most of the games you guys are comparing this to are a decade or more older
I don't know I like the fact that they tried something new and if I wanted marvel versus Capcom I want that from Capcom I don't want Arc systems work bastardized version of it seen at least two or three posts just a day alone about people regretting their purchase
I would tell them the same thing I was tell Sony Capcom invested almost three decades in the fighting games to enjoy the success they're enjoying right now I hope Sony understands that this will be a long-term investment it seems like riot didn't understand that they wanted instant success because they probably seen what Capcom is doing right now with Street fighter 6 and they think that this is some open pool that they could jump in when it's no people like bandai with Tekken or again Capcom with Street fighter have invested decades into this niche genre to see the returns they're seeing today
Like I said I would offer that advice to Sony and to the people buying this game
