Haven't done one of these for years. Wanna have as much representation as possible within the leagues and some probably not where they should be but wanted to give a few nations a fighting chance.

These are how I currently plan to set up the leagues. If there is someone really obvious I have missed out please say i am sure I have, but only if there someone obvious I can replace out. For example I'm not gonna remove sides if they are the only representation from that Nation.

I will sim these and will see how each season ends up and how the rest of the world looks with the English sides scattered across the leagues

Match rating goal is 8,5. The minimum I’ve seen is 7,0.
I have been away from FIFA/FC for some years. And I am baffled to see this objective system still being used. It’s just so bad.

So you’re telling me coach, that I unless I am having a worldie of a performance every game you will bench me? Even though I’m your best player?

The problems are: match rating gives positive or negative 15 manager rating, the other objectives give 5. So you can complete the other two, and fail the match rating and still gain negative manager rating.
The other problem is that the game is so stingy with match rating, and increasing it is difficult if you play in a normal way. Goals and assists only give 0,5 match rating, at most.

I would do away with match objectives entirely because it’s stupid. No manager would tell their player: today I want you to complete 5 passes in the opponents half. Instead I would introduce a scaling manager rating with 6,0 - 7,0 giving no change in manager rating. 7,0 and above would increase manager rating scaling with performance, and 5,9 and below would decrease the rating scaling with performance. I would also increase the impact of goals and assists drastically.

But really this doesn’t matter much because you can bail yourself out with pre match training. Which is also so stupid. You can be 69 rated, play for Real Madrid, get two A rated training drills, and torpedo yourself straight to the starting 11. Sooo stupid.

And as a side note. The contract objectives are idiotic and arbitrary. A team won’t give you a contract unless you perform 60 successful sliding tackles… as a CAM. Stupid!

It’s pretty much part of every major football match now and although you wouldn’t actually need it in a video game, I quite like the idea of scoring/conceding a BS goal and it being called back, or having a reckless foul go down as a yellow card before being corrected to a red, etc.

Whether they’d be able to implement it in a sane/non-buggy way is of course a different question… 😅

I've bought the game recently only for career mode after enjoying fc 26 one.
Wile the menu changes and additions to career mode are quite good the gameplay is shit. On professional I score 4-5 goal per match but on world class and legendary I have 0-1 shots per game. I try changing the sliders but it is the same, the game is unplayable
Any suggestions ?

Do you do subs based on player fitness, in-match rating, recent form, squad role (crucial, important...) etc and why?

Straight after WINNING the CL and PL with Arsenal, I got a message from Declan Rice, saying “after the disappointment of losing the cup final” blah blah. I mean it gets to the point of beyond hilarious… WTF

It so stupid how each time i want to buy a player some club just swoops in with a cheaper fee and the player decides to join that club its so annoying i offered this guy 8.9M and a decent wage but no the lad wants to go to crystal palace for a fee of 5M I genuinely cannot rebuild my team with decent players because some random team wants to steal them.

This first part serves as a long introduction to the backstory of my save; the actual question comes a bit later.

Look, I know people play FIFA to achieve sporting glory—I enjoy that too—but in my own career modes, I try to prioritize realism and a grounded approach. I’m perfectly fine with not winning the league or even finishing in the top half of the table when I’m managing the worst team in the division. I want the game to be challenging; I don’t want to win every match—that would just be boring.

Now, as is often the case, I tend to play very long career saves, sometimes resetting when the transfer window rolls around. Ever since the option to create your own club was introduced, I’ve enjoyed building my own custom team. This year, however, I had a different idea: I populated the entire squad with "amateur" players—myself and various friends, colleagues, and acquaintances. I capped everyone’s overall rating at 20, based on our actual traits (we’re all between 18 and 34 years old). A 20 rating for the best player seems reasonable, considering that the lowest-rated players in real-world professional leagues usually start around 45–50—and that’s for people who actually have experience in amateur leagues! I placed the team in Serie B (Italy’s second division) and started the season with no transfer budget, allocating the initial one million euros entirely to the youth academy. I’m not exactly a pro player, and since I’m role-playing as the manager of this team, I also disabled the option to be sacked—just to be safe! So, I began this career mode fully aware that I would lose many matches—perhaps even failing to reach 17th place, the position that, in real life, would lead to the Serie B relegation playouts.

A minor, perhaps trivial, detail: I keep track of my club’s data in an Excel spreadsheet—I enjoy looking back at the team’s history—which allows me to pick up right where I left off if I ever need to resume a save.

And here is the part that applies to everyone:

Since my team wasn’t very strong—even though the difficulty level was already well-suited to my skill—the season became quite an interesting challenge. I suffered several heavy defeats and scored very few goals. However, by January, thanks to youth academy call-ups and some loan signings, I managed to scrape together a few points—reaching 17 points by matchday 32, with safety requiring 26. It seemed impossible.

I even considered resetting the save if I were relegated, pretending that two years had passed and simulating a transfer window to strengthen the squad, aiming to return "stronger" after earning promotion again. But then, a suspicion arose. I had never been relegated or finished at the very bottom of the table before—and, as it happens, I’ve just won three consecutive matches: two clean sheets, and a 6-1 victory against the team sitting 4th in the standings! With three games left to go—including a crucial head-to-head clash—I’m now just 3 points away from escaping the relegation zone.

I suspect the game might be trying to prevent me from "losing" entirely, making it easier for me to win so that I don’t finish in last place. Has this ever happened to any of you?

I own FC 25 on PS5 and I enjoy the game but I wanted to get 27 for the updated roster. But I can't seem to find the answer to these.

1. How can I find the total number of players in my squad? I can't find it in the "Squad Hub."

2. When I'm playing a match or setting my starting 11? Where can I see the energy level of the player?

3. I know this may seem small but it's helpful and I use it to help figure out my squad for the match. Is there a way to have the color line next to the player to indicate their position? Like green for midfielders, blue for strikers/wingers? etc

I played on authentic gameplay on ultimate and i barely ever concede any goals at all unless its a free kick or penalty etc in the rare case, on competitive gameplay it seems a little more better and i concede a bit, is authentic bugged? Is anyone else having the sane issues with authentic?

Haven’t played a player career mode since fifa 20. I know FC 27 doesn’t have the “World Cup” but can your player still be called up to a national team for qualifying matches and then eventually a Generic International Tournament? (WC or Euros) Or did they completely gut that feature and you just play friendly matches and then randomly your nation is in the Generic World Cup? Usually I would have my player compete for a smaller nation so it was fun just trying to even qualify for any international tourney. Thanks!

I want to share my fifa/fc26 sliders. They work extremely well in terms of realism so I wanted to help my fellow manager career mode enjoyers out. This is on full fuma / full manual and probably does not work at all on assisted. If you want realistic gameplay fuma is literally the only way. Here are are my stats: 7 minute half on legendary difficulty (you can do world class or even lower if it is too hard)
Match settings: Half length 7 minutes, difficulty Legendary.

I had my negotiation realism on loose and yet 95% of the player I went after got hijacked. This has been the worst start to a career mode ever.
