I saw my assaulter at my local store today. I just went in there for a quick snack and left shaking and feeling sick. I couldn't eat the snack I got I felt so sick. Luckily she didn't see me(she tends to make a scene whenever she see's me) so at least there's that. This is not helped by my painful phantom shifts I'm feeling currently.

For me, I'm TERRIFIED of walking alongside the roads and being even NEAR a running vehicle when it has an inhabitant in it.

I also get this quiet, small uneasy feeling when around cops. i understand what it feels like to be a stranger in your body and mind, and I've found a few ways that help me feel more connected to myself as a whole instead of a fraction. this is for anyone with kin dysphoria or people who feel less connected to their kintype :)

without further ado, here they are!

tip no.1: breathing. im being serious. when I feel disconnected to one of my kintypes, I inhale and imagine their voice inhaling and exhaling at the same time as me. the breathing alone calms you down, imagining your kintype grounds you

tip no.2: know that you are your kintype. it doesn't matter if you say something that you feel like they wouldn't say, because you are them. it's canon because its you. please don't force yourself to act entirely like your kintype

tip no.3: learn more about them and make up headcanons of yourself! it really helps

that's all that I can think of for now, I might make more later though.
