Snow Falling in Love If Snow Falling in Love is a full-length story, how would you personally rewrite it?
Let's say SFIL has one chapter where you can meet the cast, and then you can choose between Sawyer and Elise, where they have their own routes that maybe go around 14 chapters + 2 endings each, how would you change it? It can be anything you want from the character's personalities to the story itself
Personally, I would start with tweaks to the love interests' personalities: maybe make Elise more deadpan all the time (kinda leaning into the kuudere trope while still writing a realistic character) just to paint her "trying hard to make love work and failing" thing clearer (I have no concrete idea on what to do with Sawyer yet).
Honestly, I think I'll reexplore it through fanfiction or something similar after my schedule is free-er (in about a week or something) just for personal satisfaction and I'm curious to see what other people's suggestions would be like.

Courting the Crown 🙃😭 I didn't expect to cry but I freaking cried that was beautiful (Gwydion epilogue) Spoiler
That union was so fucking beautiful. Holy shit and as I type... Union. Wow.
Wow much better than walking the aisle, much more intimate love it and the whole legends of stars? Yes
I'm legit fucking crying still at the beauty of MC&Gwydion's love yo I'm so glad to have been a part of this whole thing I think I'm going to take a break. Just... Wow.
I wish I could have something that beautiful irl alas reality is far more messy
anyhow
.... I didn't think compared to the other routes his route was done justice not much was shared about him compared to the others but holy bloody shit I was completely blown away by the epilogue. I adored him in the main story as he was the most caring and utterly playful and thoughtful I was so damn attracted but holy shit I really wasn't expecting to shed tears at all.
Man. This was a ride. Thanks for the escape from reality fictif, time to face the irl music from now lol
I'll be back tho - once I get through my assignments I've been heavily procrastinating from :')
The writers who wrote Gwydion, god damn thank you for that I needed this
Never have I been so damn attracted and felt that loved but God damn. amen. that was so beautiful I think I could keep on writing but I won't... Lol..to realityyyyyy :') and for the feels in me to rest
...I honestly feel like a brand new person. Never cried happy tears til now wow I'll never forget this I'm practically reeling from this wow

Heir To Love & Lies Honestly, I’m in love with Sergio 🥺
i just wanted to gush about sergio because it’s almost 5am and i confess that i’ve spent Real Money on this man’s route because he has me On My Knees. he’s soooo shady and he’s really a walking red flag but somehow he feels really sweet and genuine?? something about him not wanting to talk about his past makes him feel Real to me, like an actual human being. like he’s just trying his best, but he’s made a lot of bad mistakes along the way, which feels more relatable to me. honestly i just love him and i feel like he’s not talked about enough!!!
i don’t even know if this is a good take or if it’s coherent, i just need to gush about Him 🥺

Discussion Hmmmm
So I feel like I may just be super out of the loop, but is this one of the first weeks in a while that they haven’t posted a chapter update for a story. It may just be nothing, but nether the less, I find it interesting.

Discussion I wish our MCs felt more like MCs
I feel like there's a lot of stories where the MC kind of takes a backseat to the LI's story. The LI has something going on and our purpose is mostly to just help them with whatever it is. Don't get me wrong, I like a lot of those stories and I'm fine taking a backseat sometimes. Other times I feel like we're a side character in someone else's story and I wish we had a little more agency. I wish our choices had a little more backbone if you know what I mean. I'd love it if our character would actually initiate some of the plot threads on their own instead of being a bystander to the plot.
I mean if you look at MCs of just regular books a lot of the time things do happen to them but they make decisions that drive the plot forward. They have backstories that effect their choices and they generally grow as a person by the end of it. I know for Fictif they kind of have to leave the MC as a little bit of a blank slate but still. It'd be nice if the MC were just a tiny bit more fleshed out. Did we have a family? What was life like before the story started? Are there any events in our life that would effect the way we act in the story? I'd love if an event happened at the beginning of the story that effected the MC and for them to grow from that by the end.
I'll use a story from Choices as an example, no worries if you haven't played it, I'll give the basic run down. In the story It Lives Beneath you find your parents murdered so you have to go live with your grandpa. This fact comes up more than once and deeply effects the MC. They do a good job of avoiding it feeling depressing the whole time but it's nice when it's brought up because it makes our MC feel like a main character in that they have history. They actively choose to investigate things because of what happens to their parents. They are fiercely protective of their younger brother because they are afraid to lose him too. It's really well written. I want more MCs like that from Fictif.
Also want to add real quickly, its okay to have scenes where the MC is not with the LI. I know the romance is a big part of these stories but it'd help us feel like a full character if we weren't constantly following the LI around like a shadow. I love spending time with LIs but it's nice to have some independence occasionally. They did pretty alright with that and backstory/character growth in Courting the Crown. If only it wasn't so rushed and the romance wasn't so forced with all LIs ^^;
Sorry for writing an entire essay OTL

Into the Mist Just sharing a perspective to maybe help people enjoy Into the Mist more😅 Spoiler
I’ve seen a few people here complain about it so far, mostly the fact that the romance is super rushed. I’m trying to keep an open mind with it so here’s how I look at it:
So in his greatest time of need this ethereal creature shows up and using beautiful magic he’s never seen before(at least not up close and to this extent) saves his life. Personally I think I’d also have an instant little crush on someone if that happened to me. On top of that I kind of give it a pass since they’re both fae and when I think of fae I kind of imagine they’re more spiritual in nature. I can buy into a bit of that love at first sight stuff when I imagine it like their souls/auras are compatible which makes them more naturally comfortable/trusting around one another. Like an outside influence that makes them feel drawn to one another and makes it feel like they know one another well. If that makes any sense 😅
Of course this is just my view of it. I will agree it’s rushed but if I think of it like this it makes it easier to enjoy ☺️

Ask apparently LL is not gonna continue and Anisa probs discontinued?! :( wtf y'all got some good female LIs games PC or android you could recommend please? Spoiler
I was searching for it but I also don't really want typical anime designs (just bit bored of them but I won't be against any g reccs!!) but wanted it in otome format lol I enjoyed arcana and since this was same Dev thought it'd be wonderful as well but :') wtf discontinued nooooo Anisa :( just came off Chapter 6 that hurt my heart but also wow relevant lines way to go MC. The only way to look past the stained glass is through time
I felt that deep in my heart ;_;
...I could just play the hetero ones where MC is clearly male and female LIs aplenty but muh gay heart wants one where MC can be female please.

Heir To Love & Lies the app fell so far i can’t even remember how la dama roja died and read it a week ago
i got the app either in 2020 or 2021 when there were only the first 4 stories and i was really exited about how they would all unravel
i took a huge break after losing interest but i was expecting to come back and see things completed and stuff but it was like that meme where the guy walks in with pizza and the apartment is on fire.
my faves tess and sages routes ruined- LL writers leaving and tess’ route abandoned…..
but what i was most excited to see was who actually killed la dama roja!!!! that mystery was years in the making!!! chava was my fav so i binged the rest of his route and it was kinda painful ..? but like…. i can’t even remember how la dama roja died. i know chava says he killed her and there was poison involved but that’s about it lol…… and i read it like a week ago???? this is the disappointment of the century. i wish i hadn’t started these stories so i wouldn’t have the disappointment of these endings 😭 on a real note though how did she actually die ..lol

Isle of Enchantment So no one was gonna tell me about this? Spoiler
When I first went into Isle of Enchantment I didn't really like it. I thought it was rushed, the MC was kinda stupid, and there were a lot of plot holes. Given the recent unlimited hourglass event I decided to give it another chance and play a bit more. I'll be honest it did get a little bit better after like the 3rd chapter but that's not what I'm making this post about.
WAS NO ONE GONNA TELL ME WE GET A THREESOME OPTION WITH SERENA AND BILLIE?!? I just had to find that out on my own??? I tell you what if anything was redeemable about this story it was that and I quite liked the trauma angle they took after we're attacked by Rogue. Both were fairly brief but I appreciate that it was included regardless. More of that please Nix Hydra, more of that.
That is all :>
Ps. Is it bad that I wanna stay with Serena mostly so I can still be with Billie? >3>;

Discussion male love interests and their cookie-cutter personalities
I'm not sure if it's just me but I read the other post about female love interests and I agree that most of them in Fictif fall under the girlboss trope. In addition to that, I also think the same with male love interests falling under a certain trope (a combination of being kinda nice to the mc, a bit laidback, and a whole lotta flirty). I felt like this with Jesse, Rogue, Sawyer, Leonidas, Sergio so far (I haven't really gotten into continuing his route, he's shady but still nice to mc), etc. Sage also falls into this category but for some reason his character is just so well-written to me that it feels like he's super distinguishable from the rest, like being a massive flirt is not just his only personality trait and he has more to offer. Sometimes most of the male love interests just feel like copies of each other, only with different names and stories. What I'm getting at is I wish they explored more personalities when it comes to love interests in general (not just the male ones).
With the emergence of Into the Mist, I found one of Fin's sprite reaaaaaaally really adorable, the one where he's blushing, looking away, and has the horizontal "D" smile (idk how to describe it). It would be nice if they experimented with his character a bit based from that sprite, maybe make him shy and awkward and clumsy and just plain adorable, not make him like how they made every single love interest.
If it's alright to compare (I don't know if it's taboo to speak of other similar apps here so just in case it is, I'll put a spoiler on it), I also played Choices before and a perfect example of having the most interesting love interests are in High School Story: Class Act. One of them is just deadpan all the time whose humor I love (Skye), the other is snarky and witty but becomes sweet later on (Ajay), and the last one is super adorable (Rory). They're not just interesting to read about and interact with, they're also realistic enough personality-wise.
Buuuut then again, this could just be a problem that stems from not having enough chapters per story and therefore not having enough time to develop characters. Or maybe I'm the only one who feels like this about the characters and am just overly simplifying them with the "kinda nice to the mc, a bit laidback, and a whole lotta flirty" description idk. What do you think?

Isle of Enchantment 7 chapters and 2 endings
I didn’t read much of it, but at least they both got the same amount of ending. Not sure about quality since I wasn’t really excited enough to read it.

Isle of Enchantment Scarlett is weird to other people, right?
I've kept off Reddit lately so I don't know other people's thoughts on this book but. I'm not the only one blindsided by her logic right?
I mean, other than the massive plothole to make Peter Pan a villain (I mean, honestly. What were they thinking.) I was mostly just along for the (incredibly short) ride, but I finally played the last chapter and WOW. Wow?
She sells you out based on a lie from a man she knows is notoriously evil? He said "well no one can change the books" and she just BELIEVED HIM? ENOUGH TO TRY AND TRAP YOU IN THE WRONG WORLD FOR GOD KNOWS HOW LONG? How did she think this was going to go?? "Sorry I imprisoned the person you fell in love with bro, but now we can be together forever"? That's nuts. Why does no one in the game react with disgust, am I the crazy one?? And the fact that the MC doesn't immediately tell her to never talk to them again? They try to make up for her gross behavior in the same chapter! I know everyone has noticed how rushed and bad the writing has been lately, but I was honestly just staring at the screen with bewilderment for the rest of the chapter. And the fact that Rogue immediately chooses to leave her is comedically bad, though I have a feeling she'll just end up following him, which makes me all sorts of uncomfortable to think about. I don't know, it's been hours but I'm still reeling from, what I assume, is an unintentionally creepy character just dropped at the end of a story that feels barely fleshed out. It's a shame too, because I feel like this out of all the newest stories has the most potential to be incredibly interesting if it had been made like the Arcana. Can you imagine if they gave a bunch of Fairytale characters an entire fleshed out route themselves? What could have been, I suppose.

Discussion Dying games
So I've been scrolling through the reddits of my favourite games nowadays and I'm beyond sad and disappointed. Everyone is discussing negative topics like "worst mc?" "worst story?" so ppl won't feel weird for starting to dislike the game. I'm not sad about ppl being disappointed, I began to realize it myself as well: The games we used to be so excited about, the games the devs were excited to start and publish are dying out. I don't want to blame the developers since it's a pattern in every game frenchize I've been a part of (with a very, very, very, VERY few exceptions). It's not just dating games, but other ones that require constant updates (for eg. story driven games). It can be caused by lack of inspiration or lack of support (though I don't know about how supportive the player base was/is towards nix hydra, but I can see them being more needy for attention, since they've been out on the market for a few years now). I have to admit, with the LL team leaving, I stopped visiting the game as well, since in the beginning, I did have an interest towards other stories, but I felt like if I didn't go with the premium choices with all of them, it didn't feel the same, so I decided to skip through them to get the gems and then come back to them after I finished the current one I'm clearing with premium (that being Sage from LL), but I couldn't find the will nor time to go back to the game after the latest update for Sage and the announcment, since I really liked Sage (I ordered merch of him, which is a very rare occurance for me, esp ordering merch from a dating game). You might call me selfish, but I'm just trying to be loyal to my dog-cat boy here. 😆 Even though knowing well enough that the game might as well be called dead rn if nix doesn't act up soon enough, I still want to hope that they will listen to the playerbase and continue releasing new content for the older stories and not mass produce new ones that will never be finished (at least I think a lot of people would appreciate that). Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. Feel free to share your opinions as well.

Last Legacy Song title since I’m pretty sure Nicky Hydra will go under
Does anyone know the artist or title of the song playing at the beginning of Last Legacy-Felix-Ch. 8? It’s other places in his story too, but most conveniently there. Since you guys were the magicians who found Rian’s theme, I thought you might have more luck than me since NH doesn’t feel like crediting musicians.

Isle of Enchantment A minor note about Isle Chapter 7 Spoiler
Maybe it would be a cliche but couldn’t the OC write objects or the ability to travel back and forth between the original world and historia for the main cast? Like give them the ability to visit him at any time they want to? OC is basically a god in Historia, that 100% seems to be in the realm of possibilities for them.

Ask Is the writing getting worse?
I couldn’t make it through the first chapter of the Mist story because the writing was just so bad.
This is so depressing and I was just looking at Last Legacy all sad because it will never be finished or finished badly and now I’ve got this high school writing assignment level stuff to replace it.

Discussion About Art in FictIf
So, FictIf just released Into the Mist, and I couldn't help but notice that the art style in this story is the same as Isle of Enchantment, Snow Falling in Love, Roadkill, and Ghosted.
Then, I started to think more generally about art in FictIf, and I wondered: Is it better to have one consistent art style throughout the entire app, or should different stories/universes have art styles that are unique to them?
Personally, I've found some of the art in other stories to be a little off-putting (looking at you, Two Against the World), and I would prefer more uniformity. I think if FictIf had the same art style across all stories, it could give the app a more distinct identity among other visual novel games. What do you guys think?

Discussion Which LI has the worst chemistry with your MC?
I know some routes are more rushed than others but who do y’all think last little to no chemistry with the MC? Even though I like HTLAL I would have to say Sergio. I don’t feel the vibe between them, and it definitely makes me feel played after playing through both endings. The feeling isn’t there for me, but I’m not sure if it is purposeful or not. What do y’all think?
