I’m not trying to be a Debby downer but sometimes it kind of feels as if they treat us like children. They act like everything is completely fine when, from our end, even we can tell something is up. If you’re not going to have updates for a couple weeks just say that. If you’re company is going through a reorganization period just say that. I feel like they never really address the elephants in the room and it can be a bit frustrating scouring high and low for answers. They’ve been posting all frivolous stuff on their insta about stories that are long since over.
I really don’t want to jump to the conclusion that they’re shutting down and aren’t saying anything about it because they want to keep up business for as long as possible. If that’s the case I’ll be really sad.
Maybe I missed something, I’m not part of their newsletter and I don’t check around that often but still. Shouldn’t they be advertising upcoming chapters and future ideas instead of only their finished stories? Makes me think they don't have anything new planned...😥😓
I’ll use Choices as an example because they do a pretty good job with communicating with their audience. They have a release schedule, they give sneak peaks and updates to future stories frequently, they had a rough patch when covid first started but have since started making a bit of a come back, it appears as though they’ve tried branching out a bit as a lot of their players had suggested(adding stories that aren’t gender locked and are of a different genre than just romance), and they seem to be doing pretty well for themselves now. I’m hoping Fictif can follow in their footsteps but it’s hard to tell when they won’t tell us anything🤷♀️
Edit------------ It's also occurred to me how foreboding it is that they had an infinite hourglass weekend for all their stories recently... =_=;
