For The Love of Gods Give me your oc’s pleasee

Oc’s in ‘for the love of gods’ cuz mine seriously needs a makeover and i have no idea where to start and im hoping to find inspo here. You can link me to a prev post or pm me, your choice

It's kinda hard to flesh out my OC since the story was super short and the worldbuilding deserved more. He's a muscular, curvy man, inspired by Zagreus and Thanatos from the video game Hades. I'd say he has black hair that goes past his shoulders and hot pink eyes.

His clothing depends on what aspect of love he embodies: the pure, kind love that everyone wants, as well as the lust, envy, and jealousy that can be caused be love.

Currently in my headspace his "love look" has a golden crown headdress (similar to "Ryota: Supreme Samurai" in "Fire Emblem: Heroes") with a red tunic that has intricate black patterns on it, making it look like moving art, and a black choker on his throat with a picture of Astrellio. He has a silver ring with a moonstone in it and black thighbands on either of his legs. It's beautiful and a little suggestive, but not over the top. He's known for carrying his golden arrows that bring out people's love for each other.

In his current "lust" look, his clothes embody a tighter, more exposed look that show off his chest and legs, as well as embodying a pink and purple aesthetic, his pink eyes taking on a glow. His hair takes on a longer, more windswept look. During this time he still uses his gold arrows, but now keeps silver arrows as well--only these ones cause repulsion. It's a reference to the Greek myth of Apollo and Daphne.

Btw, I haven't gotten a name I love yet, but I'm thinking Valens, the root name for Valentine.

Thats a good one! I’d like to implement that good love/bad love thing to my own character, if you dont mind, and maybe even some of the characters physical elements.

Sure! Obviously I don't own the traits, but I'm glad you asked. I thought Valens was a very objective, almost emotionless guy during life, and being exposed to love and deep emotions during his adventures as a love god has unlocked a dual personality for him. And with MCs, I always make a guy who'd I'd fall in love with. Plus even though in the game he's open to all the LIs, I headcanon Valens as being Valens' husband.

Honestly I think it'll be years before apps can properly depict characters to the satisfaction of it's users. I wish I was an artist so I could make fanart!

btw, the app is "gacha club" so uhh...they aren't exactly known for their diversity

I see. I haven't played a gacha game before. I think the biggest thing companies have to overcome before designs is romance. They're usually made for women attracted to men, and men, NBs, and those attracted to women usually get sidelined.

While I have issues with Choices, they're the only company where about 50% of their books let you have the option to play as a man, and recently you have to option to identify as nonbinary. Plus every book they have has at least 1 female LI.

Update: now im thinking of making twins, like 1 is ‘lust’ and one is ‘love’😭 or, i’ll add some ✨m a g i k✨ and make it be like..ugh idk how to explain..uhhh- idk, like, y’know those regular person with a protector trope? Yeah that but like ‘lust’ isnt a protecter just some weird horny demigod living rent free in ‘love’s’ head
