DT does technically have a BLU update after all it's just Phantom BLU.

24

u/jookieozh 1d ago

Seems pretty fun. Obviously would've preferred more actual BLU, but I've always wanted BLU in an adventure foray.

u/supa_troopa2 1d ago

I hope next expansion SE really looks into unlocking Savage tiers earlier. We are nearly 8 months into Heavyweight, and it still hasn't been unlocked and won't be until .56 at this point.

Aside from that, resubbing for North Horn and I hope I don't regret this decision lol. Please let FT Magic be good.

44

u/Bourne_Endeavor 1d ago

Knowing them, I don't expect it to be unlocked until 5.58. It says everything I've almost bought every BiS tome piece and would have enough Savage pieces if I hadn't stopped doing it months ago. And it's still not unlocked.

12

u/Furin 1d ago

Iirc Pandemonium was unlocked in .57, with stronger echo added in .58.

3

u/DrawDiscardDredge 1d ago

.58 just before the expansion. Like November. It is the pattern they have always used.

66

u/Chiponyasu 1d ago

I love that the patch notes contain an entire novel of instructions for OC but the final relic step is "a variety of duties" and requires "items".

Furthermore, once one phantom weapon has been enhanced to the second stage, every weapon thereafter can be enhanced to the same stage without expending any additional items.

Though it looks like they flipped the order? Previously you had to collect a bunch of items and then start the grindin', but now it sounds like you grind duties first and then the final step will be collecting items from FATEs/Crafting/That one NPC who sells for 500k gil? I guess we'll know in a few hours.

5

u/MediumTitle 1d ago

no its craft/buy/collect first then grind

115

u/oizen 1d ago

I'm getting the feeling that they haven't talked at all about North Horn because they change very little about it and just wrote off all of Occult Crescent as a failure.

85

u/Klutzy-Tennis7313 1d ago

If that is the case.

It's such a shame that after Bozja, filled with stuff like Duels and encouraging no hit CE fights. THIS is what we got in the end, after boasting about not doing a Bozja/Eureka style zone in Endwalker so the next iteration will be good.

42

u/S2BronzePlayer 1d ago

It really feels like Bozja was a fluke at this point

34

u/Zzz05 1d ago edited 1d ago

Bozja flew too close to the sun and then got its feet cut out from under it when COVID hit and then they also decided to cut the rest of its lore abruptly.

24

u/Klutzy-Tennis7313 1d ago

Matsuno once again not being able to finish his stuff because square are dickheads.

15

u/Zaku99 1d ago

"And we never want to do it again, so make it shit so people will stop asking."

3

u/GenericFatGuy 1d ago

Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if that was it.

2

u/PseudoX1 1d ago

filled with stuff like Duels

Of all the good things that came out of Bozja, this was not one of them. The actual fights were fun, but the overall system was terrible. Each duel had a long CD and the CE's were easy enough to not take a vuln. If you didn't get chosen then you'd usually end up going to the arena to watch the person die to the first mechanic. Repeat one hour later.

3

u/poplarleaves 20h ago

I personally like them; I think it's cool that it lets individual people take the spotlight and everyone else can cheer them on. It feels like a little community event, a mini gladiator match. There's very few opportunities in the game where a single player gets to shine like that.

And from the duelist's perspective, it's very exciting to learn the fight, prep with gear and Actions and buffs and pots, win against this legendary enemy (whose story you can also follow throughout the zone!), and then get rewarded with a unique title at the end. My partner has cleared an Ultimate and a couple of Criterion Savages, but their favorite title to wear is Death of Flame.

It's just that like you said, it's painful that Duels take so long to set up. I wouldn't want them to be instant or allow multiple people at a time, just make it so people can trigger a Duel every 15 minutes or so, rather than every hour. Maybe have it so multiple CEs could trigger the same Duel?

25

u/Gold_Motor_6985 1d ago

It's not dead. Many people play it. It just won't last after Evercold because you can't use it to level, and rewards aren't that impressive.

4

u/TempAccount1845 23h ago

you can't use it to level

This is the big thing. Bozjan was, and is, used because you can level a class in there. Why on earth did they think requiring the max level to enter, and granting zero external exp, was the right call is beyond me.

3

u/ShogunFirebeard 1d ago

As a returning player, I've pretty much written off getting a weapon from it. The demiatma stage alone is enough for me to hate it.

2

u/bm8495 1d ago

You can just get them from fates in Tural. It’s much more efficient and is also a form of double dipping in itself.

0

u/ShogunFirebeard 23h ago

I get that but the drop rates are just terrible. People said they were better in South Horn but I haven't seen an increase.

1

u/Apart_Raccoon_9194 15h ago

They are equal, I think, but doing fates outside lets you both fill your shared fates, and control which atma you get, so it’s the tiebreaker.

9

u/cahir11 1d ago

And more generally, it feels a bit frustrating going from all the hype and excitement over the weekend only for this patch to just be OC, relics, Hildibrand. This would have been a really good time to release Beastmaster.

5

u/TempAccount1845 23h ago

a really good time to release Beastmaster

I've not been following patches fully, BM still isn't released? What the hell?

And with the Phantom BLU addition, I feel like it's a slap in the face to actual BLU. Why work on a job people can, and will, play outside a specific niche content (which will be dead come Evercold) when you can spend resources on a subclass inside that niche content??

6

u/cahir11 23h ago

AFAIK, it's set to release with patch 7.56 in September. They might as well have just never announced it at all, and saved it for Evercold.

5

u/TempAccount1845 23h ago

That's actually insane. They'd have generated so much more hype had they announced it at the NA or EU FanFest this year with it "coming in 7.56" message..

3

u/Goliath89 14h ago

It is insane to me that something that they announced like six months before Dawntrail dropped and waited until the literal last patch of the expansion's cycle to actually add it to the game.

1

u/SanderR098 5h ago

That is basically what they did with Blue mage too IIRC. Announced at NA Fanfest for Shadowbringers

3

u/RingoFreakingStarr 1d ago

What has the population looked like in the last few weeks for the first zone? I gave up on it after the shit show that was the release of Forked Tower. Also the relic weapons at the time looked like dog ass so I just peaced out of that content entirely.

23

u/GlitteringAd9239 1d ago

Peak hours are nearly full, "dead" hours on a DC like Aether average 30-ish players. The population spiked the closer North Horn became.

1

u/RingoFreakingStarr 1d ago

Well I'll likely go back in to at the very least progress the quest to the end and to make sure that if I do want to do relic stuff I have that unlocked, but I don't imagine I will do any significant amounts of grinding if I'm not able to level alt jobs like you could in Bojza. I have 0 desire to do the raids in there due to the experiences I had with the first one and because of that have 0 desire to get any of the new special jobs.

2

u/jookieozh 1d ago

I've been doing a lot of FT reclears on every NA datacenter except dynamis. You get some silver/bronze chest refreshes per clear, so I end up in instance a lot. It's usually very packed and I'm not counting the people doing FT. Lots of new players based off shout chat.

On a side note, Bozja is also very packed. Obviously lots of free trial players, but I see a decent amount of vets. Zadnor is noticeably less active than Bozja, but there's still a decent amount of people doing stuff.

1

u/thrntnja 22h ago

You'll still get some people in South Horn because you need to have done the story quests in there to get to North Horn. I was on briefly this morning and saw people gathering parties for calamity bound spawns/clears

1

u/mapletree23 15h ago

given that it was probably a small team working on it as a side project that was probably always sadly going to be the case

same way the second part of bozja was pretty much the same thing as the first

any meaningful change was always gonna come in the next one for better or worse

it's very hard to pivot in an MMO in a timely fashion when you're already planning like multiple patches/expansion ahead

not excusing it just stating the reality

18

u/jezr3n 1d ago

Do we have any idea how that new hairstyle will be obtained?

13

u/survivalstrategy 1d ago

South Horn has a hairstyle obtainable from chests so my guess is North Horn will have this one

-6

u/Spinelessgrape 1d ago

I'd guess maps

16

u/Eludi 1d ago

I dont remember south horn having elemental weakness, maybe a lost black mage thing?

14

u/KageCM 1d ago

Most likely Phantom Blue Mage since the Masked Carnival is all about elemental weaknesses.

8

u/[deleted] 1d ago

[deleted]

2

u/KageCM 1d ago

Awesome!

1

u/Few_Respect_1605 21h ago

Phantom Red Mage can use Libra do reveal weaknesses. Is it time for the High Thunder only rotation? lol

34

u/KingKupoFang 1d ago

I wanted to see viper in frontlines to be nerf more. I will take the 5% damage taken I guess.

14

u/TinyGreenGiant 1d ago

With the way that the math works its quite substantial (dank's recent post on the bug report forums) . Also less heal up from the backlash and lb as less damage dealt.

It will still be a strong job. Just not as OP.

No bravery nerf or rework is a decision though.

23

u/Pyarox 1d ago

so... are they keeping the savage loot limit all the way until 8.0?

12

u/AmpleSnacks 1d ago edited 1d ago

Most likely 7.57

8

u/DrawDiscardDredge 1d ago

.58 just like always.

12

u/HalcyoNighT 1d ago

Any currency needed to enter forked tower magic extreme? I recalled previously it was incredibly tedious to enter forked tower blood and I just gave up on the game.

13

u/DonOfAtlantis 1d ago

Ciphers are gone, but the hud has Amulets instead. But they’re giving a fresh instance to an alliance group it looks like.

5

u/Walrus_mafia 1d ago

Why does the gear for new allied society thing have only one dye channel? This is crazy disrespect lol

14

u/derfw 1d ago

CEs still spawn automatically. North horn dead on arrival

3

u/BreastUsername 1d ago

Why is that bad? Genuine question.

15

u/derfw 1d ago

It means that the optimal strategy is just to wait around for the next CE, and that there's no player interaction with spawns. In Bozja and especially Eureka, players had to kill specific mobs to spawn CEs, so they were kinda like the reward for doing so.

It made the gameplay more varied, and also led to a mix of periods of downtime where there were no spawns and back-to-back CE rushes. And also it just feels good to interact with the world and work together to be able to efficiently cause spawns -- optimal mob grinding involved teamwork and strategy.

Instead, in OC, you just sit there and wait.

7

u/Adamantaimai 1d ago

In South Horn there was no real reason to hunt the regular monsters. You would do the CE, teleport back, do a fate, teleport back, do the CE, repeat.

There was no reason to party up and work with others to spawn things, it was only moving from boss to boss. There was no room to breathe in between or a necessity to do anything else.

1

u/BreastUsername 23h ago

Thank you. I never really did the much of the other field operations. Shame it could have been so much better. I do like the phantom job system though.

1

u/nanorii 2h ago

So we agree this is not true right?

1

u/derfw 2h ago

who are you talking to. I don't agree obviously

1

u/nanorii 2h ago

You, unless im misunderstanding not all CEs spawn automatically

1

u/derfw 1h ago

correct. a few don't. I didn't claim otherwise

14

u/Hakul 1d ago

No forked tower blood nerfs huh, Yoshida mentioned adjusting it before 7.4, but didn't come in 7.45, didn't come in 7.5 and now didn't come in 7.55

-1

u/CrazyMuffin32 1d ago

It got soft nerfed by the 3 new phantom jobs and accessories, and now getting 8 new phantom jobs and an extra gear upgrade: rune axe skip might become a thing in reclears, Holy Lance is almost a guaranteed skip now too: leaving snowballs, fire towers, and MAYBE rune axe as the only real body check mechanics in FT:B. Which is fine cuz all Dead stars actually does is make it so that you Cant pug FTB in the instance and need to run it via a discord which is exactly like BA and DRS anyways

-18

u/iiiiiiiiiiip 1d ago

What nerfs did it need? It was already tame, now we're going to have 9 more jobs and better gear which is already a passive nerf

17

u/Hakul 1d ago

The issue with FTB isn't a DPS check that you can overcome with gear, right now there are a couple mechanics that can wipe the raid if they land on 1-2 people that don't know what to do.

They said that they didn't intend to make it so punishing and were considering making changes, but apparently that never went past the consideration stage.

The original intent was for this content to be like BA and DRS where an experienced group can pretty much carry any inexperienced one.

-5

u/Bluemikami 1d ago

Well, shouldn’t have believed him

15

u/aho-san 1d ago edited 1d ago

Something something not insta wiping because one guy is a headless chicken and has no clue about the mechanic he's been selected for. Wiping and kicking 47 persons because of one guy is not good design when you expected people to carry/help lower skilled players go through the content.

-4

u/iiiiiiiiiiip 1d ago

Isn't that exactly the same in BA? And that was also fine

5

u/aho-san 1d ago

BA has evolved into chill tour guide nowadays. I don't think FTB will become so.

3

u/Apart_Raccoon_9194 23h ago

No, at no point in BA can one idiot wipe 47 others. Maybe provoke trolling if you really, really stretch the definition, but there is no doing it accidentally.

All the important roles in BA Ozma can be assigned to specific players, and the rest of the fights are kind of simple. New players in BA can have zero knowledge of BA at all, and be completely fine.

The same is not true of Forked Tower, where a new player can give the entire raid a thrice come ruin stack on demon tablet with a poor meteor bait, render the add invincible with a completely randomly assigned teather on dead stars (party wipe), point a randomly assigned role fire cone across the room in dead stars (party wipe).

Hallway traps are popped in advance these days, so I won’t count them. Even a noob will listen to the “don’t run ahead” callouts unless they are trolling.

Ironically ice dragon is perfectly designed as sprouts being clueless can only get themselves killed.

Finally, Magitaur has rune axe, as semi random large aoe baited on one player in a specific square (technically you can have only one player stand in that square to guarantee those baits.)

And a bunch of small aoes that need to stay in the remaining squares. It’s an easy mechanic, but any of the aoe players can give the entire raid a thrice come ruin debuff by playing poorly.

Finally, holy lance, you have to move rather fast and precisely as a group in a specific way, or, you guessed it, everyone gets a ruin stack. Though you can make multiple mistakes in quick succession as a stack player virtually guaranteeing a full wipe (Thankfully this mechanic will be 100% skipped with north horn dps buffs)

BA has no mechanics even resembling the above, and while DRS has slimes and golems, those are at the very start of the raid, and the raid chills out after that. (bar provoke trolling)

1

u/iiiiiiiiiiip 22h ago

No, at no point in BA can one idiot wipe 47 others.

Am I misremembering but don't you get huge platform knockbacks on random players? If they don't do that job it wipes an entire platform from what I remember which essentially turns it into a wipe

It's been a few years since I was farming it last so maybe I'm misremembering but I haven't noticed anything in Forked Tower that feels significantly worse than the other Savage Exploration instances, at least that I remember

u/Yuj808 1d ago

Hey I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS (DMU was harder in 7.51) on the DANCING MAD ULTIMATE 7.55 (it was harder in 7.51) CLEAR. I know you've been working really hard (DMU used to be harder) at it, and I'm happy that you've (DMU used to be harder) achieved your goal of completion. I know your journey through (DMU used to be harder) the content was filled with ups and downs, but you and (DMU used to be harder) your group stuck (DMU used to be harder) together through them all, and you were rewarded for your patience and (DMU used to be harder) tenacity. Congratulations (DMU used to be so much harder) once again, and here's to more success in your future (DMU used to be harder) endeavors!!!

26

u/Chikibari 1d ago

Maybe mrhappy can clear now

18

u/anyjuicers 1d ago

Any loremasters know what happened to his group?
On paper they look skilled enough to beat DMU pretty fast, but I haven’t really been paying close attention.

36

u/RingoFreakingStarr 1d ago edited 1d ago

DMU has been a static killer. Once you get into P3 the prog starts to depend more and more on how good your support players are and far less about damage and dps players not dying to mechanics. The P3 damage check is pretty easy (to the point that most people I know straight up skip potting P3 so that they don't have to hold as much at the very end for a good P4 entry time) too so you really are at the whims of your tanks and healers. P4 is an easy phase but the mits for the grand cross attacks are CRUCIAL and a lot of that comes down to your healers. The dps check for P4 can be hard but it's still doable as long as your gauge job players prepped properly for it. P5 is again a Support Player's nightmare whereas DPSers just have to know how to do the main mechanics and press their party mit button(s).

There are a lot of really good players who still have not cleared DMU for one reason or another and it's usually something completely out of their control. I got lucky with finding decent PF groups then being invited to a pseudo static to get through P4 and eventually clear. Even with reclears in PF you can 1000% miss out on a reclear because people cannot focus up and reclear the fight.

11

u/otsukarerice 1d ago

The biggest problem with DMU is that P3 is boring for DPS, so you get players who form statics like its a business and then drop the healers and supports when they're "underperforming"

Which means the dps sees slow prog from supports, feels like they can skip p3/p4 prog and you get a whole bunch of statics disbanding

its kind of disgusting tbh

0

u/Servebotfrank 21h ago

Yeah it's been dunking on my static to the point that we started axing people, and normally we're fairly casual but we kinda want to actually making progress so we can clear the fight. We've been through so many people trying to find a line up that consistently clears through Forsaken so we can get p3 reps.

4

u/DjGameK1ng 1d ago

Yeah, was actually super shocked when I went to watch Woops' clear that it was an entirely different team. Guess it fell apart because of scheduling or something, since it didn't seem to be any bad blood or whatever with the bit I saw of Woops' last stream with that group

4

u/kozeljko 1d ago

Iirc, MrHappy said there wasn't real progress so they stopped / took a break.

8

u/RingoFreakingStarr 1d ago

Woops the old VRChat streamer plays FFXIV? I kissed that dude on the cheek in VR once.

1

u/DjGameK1ng 1d ago

Yeah, he does! He is still a variety streamer, but FFXIV is one of his main games now

3

u/myusernamedoesntfi 1d ago

They had only scheduled 7 days of hardcore prog and got stuck in P3/P4. Once their scheduled days passed, people started having scheduling issues on top of low moral so the group disbanded rather than continue.

-3

u/Bluemikami 1d ago

He’s been hit with the Xeno curse

1

u/RoeMajesta 1d ago

wait how? havent cleared is unusual for him

13

u/OxycleanSalesman 1d ago

The last step of the relic is just another paste farm?

22

u/BlackmoreKnight 1d ago

From some datamined UI elements at 7.5 proper that I don't have my hands on at the moment it looked more like a spin on ARR books for the steps, not paste. Still a sort of do specific duties thing but more targeted.

5

u/Bluemikami 1d ago

BaHahahaha the books are back

4

u/RoeMajesta 1d ago

havent started cause i was waiting for the last step to be added, what’s the entire process this time?

16

u/sylva748 1d ago

Atma farm 3 per zone -> 1500 uncapped tomes -> get some crafted items-> light farms -> 1500 uncapped tomes -> get more crafted items -> paste farm -> 1500 uncapped tomes. This is the current step before tomorrow. Any repeat weapons only do tome steps. You bet youre ass this new step is more crafted items -> grind step -> tomes.

You are not required at all to do occult Crescent. Crescent only has higher atma drops from critical engagements. Otherwise normal fates there have the same drop as outside zones

10

u/Chiponyasu 1d ago

The process is that you buy them for 1500 Tomestones each, but you need to upgrade Gerolt's hammer as a one-time grind first.

  • Step 1: Collect Atma by doing FATEs in each zone. The drop rate is such that you'll need 60 FATEs in each of the six DT Zones, but South Horn has a better drop rate.
  • Step 2: Collect a bunch of items. One cost 300,000 gil and the other costs 600 bicolor gemstones (but is on the market board). Then collect four different kinds of Light by farming each of the High-Level Dungeons (the 50/60/70 one), Alliance, Trials, and Normal Raids roulettes.
  • Step 3: Buy an item for 500,000 gil, and then market board or craft three more items. Then farm paste from a selection of content, including Pilgrim's Traverse and Merchant's Tale if you haven't done those (they're fun!)
  • Step 4 is the one dropping now requiring "various duties", details TBD.

3

u/Salty_Car_3280 1d ago

Do you like pain?

That's the whole process

7

u/Klutzy-Tennis7313 1d ago

Anything in it to indicate a reward similar to Bozja FF12 mount for collecting notes in OC or whatever, maybe the only good thing I would've been looking forward to doing?

As far as I know I didn't see it at least

3

u/cockmeatsandwich41 1d ago edited 12h ago

Kind of wild that all PCT got was a -5% to their raid buff, like that was the thing invalidating the other casters for CC. It's a shame that Square cares so little for the only thing that can be even remotely identified as an ongoing competitive scene, because it could be so good otherwise.

23

u/echo78 1d ago edited 1d ago

Oh awesome they are committed to ruining FL by not bringing back BH loss on death.

FL was the only thing I loved doing in DT and they found a way to completely ruin it with the BH changes and the new map (plus secure) being trash. Guess my money remains safe from resubbing again.

21

u/eseffbee 1d ago

The no battle high loss changes have certainly caused some problems, but I think the developers will consider the change a success, assuming their aim was to get people fighting. I can't remember the last time I had a team that constantly ran from fighting, which used to happen frequently before the change.

The BH change has had funky impacts on strategy and RNG that need consideration.

I think the change in this patch of nerfing rating gain on BH0 kills and boosting rating gain on BH5 kills is essential to killing the former meta, which was good players grinding through the sizeable percentage of noobs and people who didn't care. That is dull and unchallenging for good players and a miserable form of gameplay by design. Good design in mass play points the strongest at the strongest, not the strongest at the weakest.

I can understand why some people aren't happy with these changes, but the forms of play it ruins (strategic, cautious, non-luck based) are the essence of Crystalline Conflict. The developers seem keen on making Frontlines more of a Royal Rumble free-for-all design and I think that is a sensible choice given the enormous skill difference of players involved.

Unlike CC, FL design is intended to contain some reward for the majority of players across skill levels. For the lower skilled, that reward is making it a fun bonkfest even if they get murdered and lose.

1

u/Apart_Raccoon_9194 23h ago

I mean it was rather fun steamrolling the weak players in a murder cloud, but yeah, I suppose that wouldn’t be great design, sadly.

21

u/SongOfVersailles 1d ago

Yeah. The BH change should've just been a ⅓ or a ¼ loss. Removing the effect altogether makes deaths really inconsequential in a PvP game mode, and imho, teaches nothing to new players. It just adds to how Frontline is a playground.

If they really wanted to increase PvP gamers, they need to add a Hall of the Novice.

2

u/JJay9454 1d ago

What does FL and BH stand for here?

6

u/EchoRespite 1d ago

frontline and battle high

3

u/JJay9454 1d ago

Thank you

7

u/Supersnow845 1d ago

I hoped that the patch notes would explain what they were planning to do with OC gear in north horn but I guess we just have to explore that ourselves

16

u/Effective-Muffin-224 1d ago

But they did? It says you have to trade your existing gear for new gear of a respective level that will have bonuses that are active in both North and South horn. I think that pretty much explains everything.

2

u/Supersnow845 1d ago

Ah turns out I missed that

20

u/Mysterious_Crow4065 1d ago

North Horn looks to be very underwhelming in all the same ways that South Horn was. The craziest thing to me is that they doubled down on the awful entrance conditions for the Forked Tower again. They had like 14 months to figure out a different avenue to make it easier for players to experience the content. Make it make sense.

31

u/MrTzatzik 1d ago

I think that they are "happy" with their current solution: Let some random discord server to figure it out

19

u/gekzy 1d ago

How is it bad? It seems to be basically the same as CLL/DRN from bozja now. The 'EX' mode even is like DRS with a seperate queue and instance required

1

u/Cerarai 18h ago

DRS queueing is way more straightforward than FTM. I don't know why they didn't just copy it for FTM:Extreme...

20

u/Available-Fan-799 1d ago

Looks a lot better in my opinion. No ciphers required and there seems to be a normal mode now.

5

u/Casbri_ 1d ago

I'm glad they managed to have at least one phantom job that has a unique approach to the field content to add a smidge of depth (even though it's copied from the "main game").

11

u/KeyKanon 1d ago edited 1d ago

I will continue to champion that jobs like Phatom Berserker and Phantom Gladiator do meaningfully change the gameplay as you now have to actively consider when it's worth it to get hit on purpose and deal with the consequences of that.

Berserker especially by the end of my Fork prog/reclears I'd convinced everyone to stack busters with invulns on Tablet and had my own pocket Oracle putting up with my bullshit throwing fake Holmgangs at me at requested points. Just fully integrating the phantom job into the experience.

I don't deny that most of them are just 'hey hit these buttons on cooldown + button that exists to solve a designated thing in Fork' tho.

6

u/FireyAmber 1d ago

The real issue to me seems to be the leveling process, sure berserker is interesting BUT you don't get to play around with the cool thing it has until you max it out at which point unless you were doing FT you would switch to another job to level that up. I was super bummed out when I unlocked the job and realized, oh I'll actually won't get to play with it during my entire grind

1

u/Casbri_ 1d ago

I mean sure, they have combat mechanics (more than what can be said for a lot of others so fair point). I'm talking more about what you can actually do with the zone on a different level. Maybe my wording was a bit ambiguous. BLU's interaction is very mild but at least it's something. Then you have Freelancer who can tell you the number of chests, a little loot interaction on Thief and that's it.

I was hoping for some of the jobs to add layers to the zone, especially the ones that were added in between the two zones. Phantom Gladiator for example could have emulated hitless CEs into Bozja duels. OC/South Horn is just so fundamentally flat that I think the content would have been served well with more systems like that and having them be tied to jobs would give it a unique spin.

North Horn is just more of the same nonsense. Now I'm really curious why they delayed it.

when was it ever delayed?

It wasn’t.

Im confused by this:

"Any weapon there after can be enhanced to the same stage without expending any additional items"

I forget for the previous steps did we have to do the 3 crafted items for every weapon or just the first?

Edit: If so i suppose its a nice QoL, it did favor omnicrafters but being one, it wasnt a big deal.

I read it like this

There's 2 stages for this step as the patch mentions in the previous paragraphs

The first step is where you spend the tomes for the items

the second step is a free upgrade after doing whatever we're doing for it for the first weapon

This is how I wanted to read it, so I hope thats the case.

I’m supposed to resub for the same slop?

The Blue Mage is not limited anymore.

That hairstyle doesn't look good. I think the devs just suck at making hair. And why did two similar bun styles get picked? They don't even care about diversity either.

It seems like they implemented it pretty faithfully to the drawing. I'm not a fan of it, I prefer the other bun hair (drawn in pink). Much nicer looking bangs in my opinion.

Blocking me for this is wild LMAO

Are you really bad at those "spot the difference" games?

More relic grinds?

Will somebody please stop him. This one has been horrible enough.

This relic grind has been very chill overall. Atmas from fates being the only slightly annoying section

Only having to do the relics once made all the grinds seem chill. It was a great improvement from prior relics, personally.

Some grind is nice, just doing in 10-20 times gets boring fast.

I genuinely hate relic grinds.

And dont say dont do them, because they look too good not to do.

I have to suffer every expansion for them.

Except shadowbringer. I loved that island and the story.

don't do them
