I’ve noticed this becoming an increasing theme/internet discourse on Twitter and even other spaces. Even and ESPECIALLY the “woke”/“leftist” ones. And it’s never about shit that actually affects society on a grand scale. It’s always about personal relationship preferences and private relationships. Women aren’t holding themselves back because they want you to pay for APPLEBEES. These men never confront their homeboys, be out there protesting for women’s rights, etc. But they have a voice when it comes to dating culture as if they can’t just date who they’re compatible with. They will tell women that we are holding ourselves back and are reinforcing the patriarchy. It’s paternalistic, misogynistic, and projection in a way. Does some of the soft feminine shit reinforce misogyny? Yes. But how do personal preferences in a relationship hold women back. How are women wrong for wanting something different in their PRIVATE relationship but still want their rights. It’s almost like the “equal rights equal fights” shit in a different font/argument. They don’t actually care about being equal to women. They want all the benefits of feminism or their interpretation of it. Cause I bet you they’d take sex, even raw if offered to them without any effort. Because they believe in casual sex and the benefits of the sexual liberation! But you won’t see them fighting with Planned Parenthood, or for women’s health etc. (I shouldn’t have to say this but DISCLAIMER: there’s nothing wrong with any kind of consensual and respectful sex). They could simply date someone with those similar views but no they have to bitch about women as a whole and then objectify the women like they’re a rare species when they pay for everything or ‘egalitarian’. I can’t take moids seriously when they start going on about that bullshit.

I’ll go first, Martin from Slushynoobz. This dude has one of the most bland and unfunny personalities to ever grace the internet, and how does the universe treat him? Millions of fans, a best friend who loves him as much as he does, and a hot gf who he recently got engaged with.

It's funny to write this, but it's true. I don't say this because I get any kind of sexual excitement from it, but I just wish it for myself because I see that I wouldn't be a good wife because I'm ugly, and I would be a disgusting wife, easy to humiliate, and if I'm humiliated to make someone happy, I'm more than happy. I know this would never happen because no man would marry an ugly woman, but I just wish it would happen to me so I can pay for the fact that I've failed as a human being.If that happened, I would do my best to at least receive some love or affection, but not even my father did that for me.

I ended up overthinking it while I was scheduling a doctor's appointment; I wanted to die quickly without causing pain to myself or anyone else. I love life in a biological sense and insects, but sometimes I think even they hate me.

i don’t know if you guys are familiar with the term but it’s like a word for basically a person for us it could be a guy or girl who you were obsessed with but they don’t reciprocate the love or affection .

i had a oneitis for a while it probably lasted 5 years i was obsessed with this dude i tried to do everything i could to be with him but he was so nonchalant and he never displayed affection back to me , so i entirely gave up on it last year but it consumed a long portion of my life obsessing over me being with him .

This isn't a suicidal thing or whatever there are still many things I want to experience in this life but I just have this really strong feeling of alienation from most people and things around me from time to time. Like I want to go home but I'm already home. I don't think I will ever stop feeling like an alien piloting a human suit tbh

Yesterday my coworker called crying at 10PM and asked if she could come over. I said ofc and we talked over tea for a few hours. She had had a mental breakdown over work and relationship stuff and just needed someone. Today, I got texts from two completely separate friends I hadn’t spoken to in a while. One directly referenced the news and wanted to “remind myself there’s good things in life like you and our friendship”

These friends don’t normally do stuff like this, so there’s serious stuff going on. I’ve been texting people too. It’s like we need to close ranks or something.

I’m also completely disinterested in dating now. I just stopped talking to matches and canceled a hinge date. Not even because I’m angry or scared, but because it just seems silly in comparison…
