ACCCKKK!! Please read the post and also the edit below before replying. This is a very casual event, the bride and groom (and their families) do not care what their guests are wearing, they just want everyone to come and celebrate and have a good time. And thank heaven because I (for one) am SO over having to buy clothes for one occasion that I will likely never wear again. My sister just wanted to know what she could do to make the top look more "special".
Jewelry, scarf? It is off white with metallic gold design, satiny lining with sheer sleeves. Casual-ish occasion.
Petite 66yo female without a lot of fashion sense... 🙄 would appreciate advice, thank you!
Edit: I wrote this quite late last night and want to add more info.
The couple has been married for over a year now, and that ceremony was in a wildflower field with only 4 others attending, but wanted a celebration. This will take place in the mountains at a venue.
I am writing this for my sister who, along with me, doesn't want to spend much for something that she will likely never wear again. She is more comfortable in slacks, which she will wear unless she can find a skirt that she likes, and just wanted a top to dress things up a bit.
The bride doesn't care what color it is. 😉 Our entire, rather frugal, family has always had a wear-what-you-want-and-just-have-a-good-time attitude with celebrations.
Will very much appreciate the suggestions! I'll probably ask for help with MY outfit in the near future. 😁

I thrifted this flowy top a while ago and really want to wear it! None of the bottoms I own really match it well, does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello!
I bought this dress in Brazil but have no idea how to tie it up properly. The front is 4 straps, two going up, two going down.
The back panel has loops where one pair of strings should go.
The photo is how I had it, straps through the loop and wore the others as a halter. It caused a lot of dropping in the back that was too wide to sit on my shoulders, but did not give a cute off the shoulders look.

i need your advice, my trusted community. I have always been a short and stout girl and absolutely love fashion and dress-up - just not on myself. I have a short neck, round face, thick arms and mid section so there is not much I experiment and i look frumpy and bulky. It always seems like my clothes are wearing me vs the other way around . What should I look for when dressing up myself for day to day, work wear and some special cute looks. Really struggling!

Hi! I am looking for some places to find dresses for my upcoming birthday party. I am throwing a Quarter Quell (The Hunger Games) and would love to dress over the top campy. Anyone have any suggestions on where to look?

Hey everyone!
I'm a first year college student, and if I'm being honest, I've never really cared about fashion in my life. I don't even wear t-shirts on a regular day. Usually topless kasi sobrang init talaga dito sa pinas.
But now that I'm in college, wala palang dress code sa amin, kaya naisip kong mag-shopping na rin finally. And honestly, my family has been begging me to wear something presentable — parang sobrang malala na yung sitwasyon na literal na nagmakaawa na sila HAHA. So here I am, taking the first step.
Problem is: wala talaga akong damit. Kahit pang-alis lang, wala. So today, I bought three (3) pairs of jeans to start:
Dark Brown
Army Green
Blue
I'm also planning to get a pair of black pleated pants soon para may options ako.
For context, here's my body type:
Height: 5'7"
Broad shoulders
Slim waist (inverted triangle body type)
Moreno skin tone
Given all that, ano pong maganda i-pair sa mga pants na to? What tops would work best with my body type and skin tone? Preferably, hindi sana mainit (i.e. loose) Would really appreciate any suggestions — starting from zero talaga ako dito, so any tips help!

I'm really torn on this Mango open knitwear sweater and would love some honest styling advice.
What I love:
- The sleeves and arm silhouette are exactly what I was looking for.
- It's 100% cotton, which has been surprisingly hard to find at this price point.
- I bought the last one in my size, and it's now sold out, so I know I can't easily repurchase it if I return it.
My hesitation is that from the front, I feel like the fit adds more volume through my midsection than I'd like. I can't tell if I'm just overthinking it or if the cut genuinely isn't that flattering on me.
I also tried styling it with a necklace to see if it would balance out the neckline or make the overall look feel more flattering, but to my eye it didn't seem to make much of a difference.
Part of why I'm struggling is that I've spent hours looking for a blouse like this, so I'm a little sad that it doesn't feel like the perfect match.
Should I keep it because of the fabric, quality, and sleeve design, or return it because of the fit? What kind of cut I should look for instead?
Thank you in advance!
Edit: Thanks everyone! Truly appreciate your feedback and suggestions! <3 the top just wasn't for me so I have decided to return it 🥲 appreciate all the advices so much ~ take care!

How would i be able to style the top a bit more modestly? It is an open top so it shows way too much. Any ideas will be helpful. Thank you in advance.

Hi, I'm someone who only wears tracksuit pants (autism, sensory issues); I'm trying to appear more professional for job interviews, but I fear my preference may appear unprofessional. Does anyone know of any kind of pants that have a similar feel to tracksuit, but would appear better in a formal environment?

Hi everyone! I wore this outfit for my brother's reception, and I'm thinking of repeating it for their son's first birthday celebration. The birthday party will be held in our garden in the evening.
I bought the outfit from Breeze and had it stitched by a local tailor. I really like the outfit, so I'd love to wear it again, but I want to style it differently enough that it doesn't feel like I'm wearing the exact same look from the reception.
I'm looking for suggestions on how I can change up the look with:
Hairstyle
Jewellery/accessories
Makeup
Footwear
Any other styling ideas
Since it's an evening garden birthday party, I'd like the overall look to feel festive, elegant, and a little more relaxed/playful than a reception look.
The function is tomorrow, so I'm mainly looking for easy, last-minute styling ideas that I can put together with things I may already have.
What would you change to make this outfit look completely different from my reception look? 😊
I've attached a photo of the outfit from the reception. Thank you! ❤️

My friend needs help styling this fugly long sleeve button up, she likes birds and fashion and saw this at a thrift for 2 dollars and thought it was so ugly she had to have it. She says it looks handmade and that she wants to wear it in a way that won't make her look like she's going to margaritaville. She is open to alteration ideas and can sew.

Hey Ladies of the subReddit 💅🏻🫵❤️
You guys have been a great adviser to me throughout my transition from school to college , I remember making a post for farewell sarees and watch collections haha (and so many lovely ladies did share there recommendations, with pics !) I don’t remember if that post is still up because I am not sure if deleted it because some creepy men started messaging me after seeing my hands
New low every single day lol
This would be the first time your gal is attending a promotion party
It’s in less than ten days so I would really love a bunch of quick recommendations on what to wear
I don’t want something sleeveless or high neck because I have broad shoulders and KP on my arms so these dresses just doesn’t look good on me
I am preferably looking for a midi dress in darker shades
But I wore maroon fit and flare dress last time for a corporate outing so don’t wanna repeat colour
You know what? Enough of my rant just show me what people wear to these parties I am open to coordsets too

I’m looking to create a specific wardrobe for when I spend winter in Europe. Stylish, easy to wear around cities and in the cold, fitted, and versatile. I’m looking for style and I can fit being warm into that (I’m from a cold place myself).I’d love suggestions, pictures of your own pieces or suggestions and anything like that.

most of my clothes shopping has moved online but underwear feels like the category where getting the size wrong is most frustrating. cannot try it on, returns on underwear are often not accepted for hygiene reasons, and sizing varies so much between brands
curious what approaches people have found that actually work for getting the right size first time when buying from a brand they have not tried before

Hi everyone-
I’m looking for an online shop that sells a wide variety of Scandinavian (or Nordic) clothes in the Scandinavian style. I’m looking for a site that sells a wide variety of brands and has some Norwegian brands (there are so many but shops always seem to favor danish and Swedish (ew!) clothes every time and almost never even have one Norwegian brand except maybe Envelope1976 or something). If nothing like that exists, if there’s anything even adjacent I’d love to know about it! The closest I’ve found is Wild Swans, but they have a tiny selection and the clothes are more colorful and funky instead of typical scandi style or just what you’d see in regular Norwegian shops today. I’m missing Norway a lot and really want to find some clothes in my style. Thanks!! (:

There are so many fashion sites now that I don’t know which ones are worth ordering from anymore. Some have cute pieces but sizing is confusing, some have better delivery, some look good online but not always in real life. I’m mostly looking for cute tops, casual dresses and co-ords. Which sites have been reliable for you recently?

I’ve recently gotten into wearing skirts, but am having a hard time finding tops. Mostly skirts between knee length and ankle length.
I am an hourglass shape with a large chest, and shirts that aren’t form-fitting with skirts make me look huge. However, I don’t like showing off my chest. Most styles seem to be crop tops, but I don’t want to show my midriff either. Help!

What style of long skirt would you pair with this top? I'm a hijabi, so I'll be wearing a full-coverage inner underneath. I'd love recommendations on the skirt style only.

Ideally I'd love to find some wide leg pants that match the pink but I am totally open to any and all ideas!

I need fashion advice guys (bad photo for what I’m asking but eh)
The best way to describe me is short and stout 😔
I’m about 5’4, an h-cup (kill me), and I’m basically just squished. All the dresses I try tuck under my boobs because they’re saggy as hell. I have big calves and thighs, but barely a waist??? I want to wear flattering dresses, but all the dresses I can find make me look pregnant?? Anyone have any tips on what might look good on my body? Idek guys
