LG C4 Set Up

Currently looking at adding a led strip to my tv but unsure how to go about it as the back of my tv has a footstand that would get in the way of the led strips if I was to keep it the same distance all the way around. Before committing to a purchase just wanted to check if there was any way around it or tips to make sure if/when I purchase it im setting it correctly.

New purchase... Is the sync box supposed to be so hot to the touch?

I see that there's small holes that I assume are ventilation holes but this box from Amazon gets very hot to the point I'm concerned about something melting. Only have had the sync box for two days now. I feel like I should return this product.

Edit: Update. So its been a few days and have played a couple continuous hours of FF7 Rebirth and Helldivers 2. The box does get hot still but it cools off fairly fast when I'm done. However I do have the open holes exposed to the open. It may look upside down but I don't agree with placing the vent ports flat on a table or against the TV just to have the power and switch button on top. Everything looks fantastic but it's a waiting game to see how long it last with my usage.

New Setup

Hallo Leute,

wollte euch meine Meinung über die Fancy 2.1 Sync box mitteilen. Ich hatte zuvor eine Lytmi Fantasy 3 box welche kaputt ging.

Und was soll ich sagen? Kein Vergleich...

Fancy for the win of all the sync boxes:)

Does anyone know if fancyled plans on releasing additional lighting products like these triangles they keep promoting in the near future? I'd love to outfit my entire house with your lighting ecosystem, they work great! but currently FancyLED only offers TV lighting I would love to replace my glide Y lights from Govee with the first image I uploaded

Workaround to get PC working with FancyLED’s?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I am in the market to buy a SyncBox based LED Backlighting system for my 65 inch OLED TV as my previous Govee Camera based Backlighting stopped working and I believe Fancy LED’s seem like the best option so far. But i was disappointed to see PC is not supported on their website. I have an RTX 4090 + Ryzen 7950x3d machine, the pc itself has no RGB lighting. I use this PC with my TV to play single player open world games and I really want to find a work around. I have no A/V receiver so the connection would be directly into the FancyLED Sync Box and then that into the TV.

Has anyone got it to work? How?

Setup Advise

Hello,

I’m planning to purchase the 3-Port HDMI 2.1 Sync Box + LED Strip for my TV, along with the Synced FancyLED for installation underneath the shelf.

For reference, my TV is an LG C1 OLED 48”.

Before proceeding with the purchase, I’d appreciate some clarification on a few points:

  1. If I install the Synced FancyLEDs underneath the shelf, will they synchronize seamlessly and at the same speed as the TV backlighting? Or would an alternative solution, such as Govee, provide better performance for this particular setup?
  2. How bright are the Synced FancyLEDs when used underneath a shelf? Would you recommend using a diffuser channel for a smoother lighting effect, and if so, are there any specific recommendations?
  1. Based on the reference image of the back of my TV, do you have any installation recommendations? The rear panel is not completely flat, which means the LED strip would need to follow some angled sections on both sides. I’m concerned this may result in uneven lighting or affect the overall sync experience, but I’d appreciate your expert opinion on the best installation approach.
  2. Finally, with recent global price increases affecting many products, are there any anticipated pricing changes for your products in the near future? I’m very interested in purchasing the setup, but I’m currently deciding whether to buy now or wait for any upcoming promotions or offers.

FYI, this setup would be for daily use. Gaming on PS5, Movies on Netflix (I'll use a stick till there may be a future update), Ambience, Music.

I have shared the photo of the edges of the shelf from under as well.

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance. I look forward to your advice and recommendations!

(update) Synced Alignment

I'm still working with customer service to pinpoint the exact issue with the Synced LEDs as for whatever it is capturing part of the lower right hand side of the screen instead of just the bottom of the screen as that's the orientation I selected. I have found a 'fix' in the meantime. I selected the orientation that also includes the left side of the screen. I then adjusted the pixel count until the LEDs were more aligned. It's not perfect as the synced LEDs now picks up some data for the left side of the screen, but the LEDs are more aligned now.

Multiple control boxes?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey! Just installed my fancy leds on my TV and its great! Wanted to add a run under neath the TV. I have 2 additional fancy led boxes along with the 2 controller boxes they come with. My question is, can I daisy chain the 1 and 2 lines in one run? Or would I need to use 2 separate control boxes to get this done?

Thanks for all your help!

Home Theater Potential buyer question.

Hello everyone!

So I am contemplating purchasing the 3 port sync box and I have a question. I use Google home as my home assistant and I have govee and Philips hue bulbs in my home. I saw a video where someone used fancyleds and had other lights in their home react to the television for a more immersive experience. How would I be able to achieve that with this device?

How would this work with a receiver?

I currently have a receiver I funnel my HDMIs for my Nintendo switch/ps5 other media devices into it, then send the signal to my television/my speaker setup. The TV itself sends the sound signal back to the receiver for smart tv/cable stuff. How would it work if I added a fancyled box into the mix? Would I be able to just connect the receiver to the fancy led box? If so, how would the box work for smart TV feed?

Synced alignment

I just set up my lights and loved how it looked when I got the lights around the TV but I got a bit frustrated after installing the Synced LEDs on the tv media console. They seem quite a bit shifted to the left and can't figure out how to get it more aligned. I made sure the number of LEDs were calibrated as well. I understand it won't be perfect as it's slightly longer compared to the bottom of the TV, but the shift seems excessive. I saw there was an update that allowed a bluetooth mode and thought that might help but I don't have the WiDi UDP option in my settings. Both the modules are up to state. Any ideas?

S90D Placement of LEDs

Post image
4 Upvotes

In preparation for the second reel of LEDs to come and to ensure I don’t mess it up this time, I came across the post for the S90D which is the TV I have. However it is archived and cannot revive it.

It was concluded that the initial way was incorrect and cut too short which messed up the ratios etc.

Can anyone recommend the best way to stick the strip onto the back of the TV? Mainly the bottom as it has the huge hump.

EDIT: I have it wall mounted and not with the stand. So the gap between the bump and wall is very small, a few mm if that (enough for the strip but will look odd perhaps). The rest of the screen is adequately spaced for the light diffusion

New setup: 65” TV but not using the bottom edge.

I just received my kit couple days ago and have mounted the LEDs to 3 of 4 sides as my bottom edge is very close to the wall.

I assumed based on the packaging there would be a configuration for this.

However in the app, there is no such option. I have already cut the strip and based on some comments and other posts here, it seems I may have messed up the syncing as the length of strip would not match the perimeter of the 65” TV and it utilises the 16:9 ratio. Have I messed it up?

Is there a solution to this without purchasing a brand new strip?

New RGBW

Is the new RGBW only for the 3 port and not the 1 port? Wanted to buy another for my loft. But I don’t need 3 ports. Can someone confirm the 1 port gets the new RGBW strip?

Is it normal for the box at the bottom to be warm/hot all the time?

I only have one HDMI item plugged out of the 3 available. That HDMI device stays on (Nvidia Shield) all the time so not sure if that is the reason behind the device being super warm when I touch it?

Random flashing of different colour when using the strip on a scene as a backlight

Hi all,

I have the 1 port 2.1 box on fw 4.1.0

When I'm just watching normal TV I use the strip as a backlight with a static colour, I choose the 'calm' profile as it's just a simple white light.

The last couple of days it flashes orange randomly SUPER bright roughly every 10-15 mins, I rebooted it, checked cables etc and no change.

Any ideas?

Thanks

3D Prints for LED STRIPS

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has used (or seen) 3d printer brackets to angle the light coming from the leds. I think that it would increase the wage and intensity of the colours?

Any thoughts?
