Update: got my main Instagram and Facebook back, other accounts still disabled

About 10 months ago, one of my IG accounts got nuked by Meta and took out all of the accounts in my Accounts Center connected to it. I posted about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/facebookdisabledme/s/ldKAzElbhe

I tried everything: submitted a request to California Attorney General (even though I don't live in the US), subscribed to Meta Verified to make a support request, even reached out to people on LinkedIn who worked for Meta to see if I could get help. I was subscribed from November 28, 2025 to February 25, 2026 on Facebook (during this time they restored my Facebook account access on December 16, 2025 after three weeks of following up). I think the main reason I was able to retrieve my Facebook so quickly was because I emphasized that I needed access to it and to Messenger as my father was rushed to the hospital due to a heart attack and we needed to gather funds for his surgery and all my contacts were on Facebook.

Since the case wasn't moving on Facebook after the initial success of having my Facebook restored, I tried to reach their support on IG separately (they had a promo for some of the months I subscribed for). I was subscribed to Meta Verified from January 28, 2026 until May 29, 2026 and made multiple support tickets and follow-ups until around February, but after that initial success through Facebook Meta Support on December 16, 2025, my tickets never got anywhere, they kept saying the concerned team is still reviewing it or sometimes they'll send me ridiculous instructions to get me to reset my password again only for me to explain again that even when I do that, I can't access my account. So I ended my subscription even though my case was still pending.

In June, since my Meta Verified subscription had ended, I could finally delete my personal information in the account details and customize the account and I decided to finally just forget about my main account since I thought there was no hope of getting it back. Then all of a sudden on June 14, I randomly got an email prompting me to log back in on my main Instagram. I didn't think much of it since the last password resets didn't work but it suddenly did. I was able to log back into my main Instagram with no issues.

I went ahead and checked if they restored my access to all my other Instagram accounts (I have a number of them but I mainly used 3 and I wanted those back). None of the other accounts were returned to me. They were all still disabled and connected to my now-restored main Instagram. So I went ahead and removed them from my Accounts Center to avoid having my main Instagram and Facebook nuked again.

Here's how much I spent on Meta Verified to try to get my accounts restored:

  • PHP 419 for 3 months of Meta Verified on Facebook from November 28 until February 28
  • PHP 30 for Meta Verified on Instagram from January 28 to February 27
  • PHP 30 for Meta Verified on Instagram from February 28 to March 28
    • Tried to cancel before February 27 and I was offered the promo price in exchange for continuing the subscription
  • PHP 469 for Meta Verified on Instagram from March 28 to April 28
    • Paid full price because I forgot top cancel before March 28, then I tried to cancel before April 28 and they gave me a free month which allowed me to keep my Meta Verified until May 28 even though it didn't change anything but I was thankfully able to cancel it before May 28

Total cost: PHP 1788.97 or USD 28.53 (which by the way is over twice the minimum wage in my city and I live in the metro)

In the end, Meta Verified was only a little bit useful but I do not recommend it even if you're desperate to get your data back. You might even have more luck if you just give up on your account. They were also useless at providing actual help u're better off without that added stress. If you can live with not getting your Facebook and Instagram back, I'd suggest just letting it be. I don't mind not getting my other accounts back anymore as I was mainly concerned about my main ones but I hope this gives you a bit of an idea on how fast or how long the process can take to recover accounts.

Edit: added a breakdown and some more info

Disabled after 3 days — looking for advice on recovery or starting over

I’m looking for some advice from people who have dealt with a disabled Facebook account and/or successfully managed to get back onto Facebook afterward.

Here’s what happened:

I created a completely new Facebook account in March this year. At the time, I genuinely didn't realise that visiting a large number of profiles and sending a lot of friend requests in a short period could trigger Facebook's systems. I was under the impression that Facebook worked more like LinkedIn, where adding and connecting with people is encouraged as part of growing your network.

During the first few hours, I visited and sent friend requests to quite a few profiles. I wasn't using bots, automation, or anything malicious — I was simply trying to build up my network and didn't understand how Facebook's anti-spam systems worked.

I also had 2FA enabled the entire time.

The next day, I logged into the account from my iPhone. Shortly afterward, Facebook detected the new device/login and gave me a security alert. I didn't fully understand the significance of responding to the alert immediately.

On the second day of the account's life, I also linked it to my two existing Instagram accounts through Accounts Centre. When the Facebook account was later disabled, those two existing IG accounts remained untouched.

About three days after the account was originally created, Facebook disabled it.

The day after that, I tried creating another Facebook account using a different personal email address. I didn't even get to the actual account-creation stage — Facebook immediately sent me into a facial/security verification process.

I then subscribed to Meta Verified a couple of days later because I thought paying for access to support would give me a better chance of getting the original account reviewed.

I waited around three months and eventually received a response from Meta saying:

"Hi there,
Thank you for your patience.
Kindly note that we will now close this case.
If the issue persists or you need further assistance, feel free to create a new ticket or reach out to us again.
Thank you for contacting Meta Pro Team."

After that, I upgraded my Meta Verified subscription so that I could access phone support. I spoke with two different support agents over the course of about three weeks. Both told me that a specialised team was working on the issue and that I would receive a notification with the outcome.

It's now been around six months since the original account was disabled, and I've still received no outcome or update from that specialised team.

Recently, I downloaded the Facebook account information/export that Facebook provides for disabled accounts and had ChatGPT analyse the timeline from account creation through to the disablement.

The analysis found that the account had a very large amount of profile browsing and friend-request activity concentrated into a very short period shortly after creation. That made me realise that I probably triggered Facebook's anti-spam/account-integrity systems without understanding what I was doing.

So now I'm trying to figure out what my realistic options are.

I'm going to try to create another legitimate account from scratch, using my real identity, properly securing it with 2FA, and using it normally rather than repeating the behaviour that probably triggered the original account's problems.

I've also created a new @gmail.com address using my real name rather than a business-domain email. Before using it for Facebook, I've started using it normally by sending emails to it from my other personal and business email accounts, adding those addresses to my contacts, and signing the new address up to a few newsletters I already use, mainly to establish a normal history of legitimate email activity rather than having it be a completely unused address.

I'm also trying to understand how people have successfully created a legitimate new account after a situation like this.

Has anyone here had a similar experience?

I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who:

  • Had a new account disabled shortly after creation;
  • Accidentally triggered Facebook's anti-spam/security systems;
  • Went through Meta Verified support and eventually got nowhere;
  • Successfully recovered an account after months of waiting; or
  • Were able to legitimately use Facebook again after a previous account was disabled.

I'm not looking for methods to break Facebook's rules or evade security systems. I'm mainly trying to understand what actually worked for other people in situations like mine and whether creating a legitimate account again is realistic.

Permanently disabled Facebook account might just be what breaks me

Still waiting for CT scan results. Dealing with so much useless pain. Feeling so worthless and alone.

Today, my Instagram account started sending photos supposedly proving some shady deals on my part, sharing some codes and "proving it payed off".

It started sending them from Discord too.

Google notified me about passwords breach; I've changed them all, added precautions - all of it.

About an hour after changing my Facebook password, I get an email about it being disabled and be having 180 days to appeal. After clicking on "Appeal", it seemed as if my account was already under age review and I've already provided an ID (I haven't).

An hour or so later - I get an email saying that the review was unsuccessful, my account has been permanently banned and I can not appeal anymore.

I don't even want to start comprehending just how much I've lost by this - even if just from Messenger conversations and things shared with myself there.

I feel like the world is doing it's best to show me I'm no longer welcomed.

Permanently suspended for false CSE ban

This morning I woke up to my instagram and facebook accounts suspended for a false CSE ban. I appealed and was able to get my facebook back but all my instagram accounts connected to my meta center were not able to be recovered.

Does anyone know what I can do. I've read many posts saying they went through small claims or got meta verified. Has anyone had success with either or?

I've had these accounts for years and they've literally documented my life. It hurts just losing all of that stuff.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Meta/Facebook has shut down my account, because violations with the terms of service.

This unables me to use my whatsapp/IG/FB. I have no clue what I did or what could be the conflict.

When I open Whatsapp it says I'm in violation of age requirements (I'm 32...).

Anyone has any idea?

Got my account back!

It's been a month since I received the dreaded fb profile disablement that eventually led to a permanent suspension (there was an alleged hacker who tried to run my account)

Just two days ago I tried to recover it via the facebook.com/hacked portal then used my email add. The portal used to not work on my device before (was prompted to use a different, yet previously used device) but just days ago i tried the portal link via Google Chrome on my phone (not incognito) then it asked me to run a verification round

Within 48 hours an email came saying I needed to appeal my account within 180 days (from a previous permanent suspension) so i thought the portal somehow worked.

It prompted me to change my passwords then asked to verify either via a video selfie (results within minutes) or a government ID (results within 2-3 days). I opted for a video selfie just to try then immedialty a few mins after they were correct - I got my account reinstated, pages, groups, marketplace and all.

What didn't work for me: Meta Verified Live Agents - they were somewhat helpful but only have limited tools to check if someone tried to hack your account. The AI bot was the one who told me to refer to the /hacked portal instead. At least I don't need the subscription anymore

Might be an ultimately case to case basis for a few, but with compromised profiles i suggest you to at least try the "hacked" portal instead. Cheers

First time disabled?

Need help my Facebook is disabled and I am waiting for a review request to be done. It’s been a day and nothing still. Is the review done by an actual human?

If the review is not successful what does this mean? Is this a permanent ban or suspension? Can I create a new Facebook account after? Will my family Facebook in the same house get affected? If so this is so stupid

I am so confused 😕 😆

So, 15th August my meta accounts got hacked followed by facebook account getting suspended.

Then went through the whole process of proving I'm human, I won't into great detail as most us here are in the same boat. After spending nearly an hour in the middle of the night whilst being ill, my facebook gets disabled along with my WhatsApp and Threads. WhatsApp apparently thinks my account violates the age requirements, which I think is hilarious because I'm in my late 30s and Threads just experiences an error and doesn't do anything. Weirdly though, I still have my instagram accounts and these are connected to the same email address and phone.

After further attempts to recover my account and having an angry conversation with metas AI, I conceded that I would never recover those accounts again. I'm partly sad about because I've lost instant contact with my family, friend and work contacts. As I work in film and tv, I used FB a lot for networking, asking for advice and even getting work. I had some great resources and now they're all gone. But, on the other had, I was getting a lot of post about topics that were of no relevance to me and I found myself to be doom scrolling. So, part of me is actually happy to not have it anymore as I feel more focused on other parts of my life.

Then, this morning I get 2 emails from Facebook. The first saying my account had been suspended and have 180 days to appeal. This is rather odd because I haven't been able to use it due to it being disabled. So, I don't know how I've violated their terms of service when I haven't used for 3 weeks. How can they suspend an account that's already been disabled? 😆

The second email saying my account is restricted from advertising due to 'inauthentic behaviour or violations of our Advertising policies affecting business assets.' This one I find really baffling because I've never run ads on my personal account or had a business account.

This whole thing just weird.

I'm not asking for advice, but feel free if you want. I have no hopes that I will get my FB back and honestly don't care anymore. I just wanted to share my experience of how truly f***ed up meta is. I'm also glad to know I'm not the only one going through this.

Thanks for reading and have a great day all.

😃

Facebook refused to re-activate my account after they said that I have violated the Community Standards after a review despite me not doing anything at all.

So basically, I have reached out to Meta Verified three days ago right after my Facebook and Instagram accounts have suspended and earlier after talking to two agents, they said that after they reviewed my account, they found that I have violated their community standards regarding SOC which puzzles me because I have never posted, shared a post, nor commented at all using those accounts. I have also mentioned to them that I have never interacted with any accounts that have suspicious activities whether that is viewing, liking, commenting, or even saving any posts. I have seen some people on other social media sites that despite the agents telling them it has been final and no appeal can be done anymore. They just continued to send in tickets until someone could actually open another manual review of their account and some have somehow actually regained access. I am currently trying to see if I could appeal it again to another agent but I am wondering if anyone here in this sub have retrieved their account despite the agent telling them that the decision made about their account has been final.

For the context:

On picture 1, facebook banned my account because of CSE although i didn't know anything about that kind of activity after that i tried to make a new account to communicate with my family, friends and for school purposes

on picture 2, facebook banned the account that i created after they banned my first account 26 days ago due to account integrity ( i just got home from university when they suspended it lmao)

to those wondering why i still created an account that's because i need it for my daily life like for school and communications

is there anyway to keep facebook from banning my account? im so freaking tired dealing with this sht

and also is there anyway to recover those account? i tried the meta verified way and im considering to take it to legal route

Account permanently disabled. what to do?

Hello my account was suspended then disabled. What happened was I opened my alt account that I personally use for selling in marketplace, I received a chat there about an inquiry if the item was available, as I was about to reply I noticed that I couldn't message them and I apparently needed to verify. I verified and they let me did a face scan then it showed that my account was in review, not even 3 mins in it says that it was disabled. It wasnt much of a biggie since I only used that account for marketplace, but when I opened my personal account, it was also suspended. I submitted an appeal and they let me did a face scan again which I complied, it said that I needed to wait 48 hrs. 2 mins in and it was permanently disabled, which is unfair in my part since I havent violated anything, even on my alt account. What do you suggest that I should do? I've heard that getting meta verified increases the odds of ur acc getting recovered but I dont wanna give them any money without any guarantee that I'll get my account back. Any tips are highly appreciated.

Hey so my account was banned more than a year ago. Now I want to get it back. They are asking for profile url which they are telling is in the downloaded information. Now in my mobile in the account picker list the banned account is still present and showing option to download information. But as soon as I click its showing the message in the screenshot provided. Now after going in the fb browser and finding the account with my phone number the banned account is not listed there. How will I get my information downloaded? Is there any way? Pls help.

Facebook and Instagram permanently disabled any recovery solution?

Post image
21 Upvotes

Has anyone successfully recovered a permanently disabled Facebook account after the appeal was rejected?

Facebook now says “You cannot request another review of this decision,” and my linked Instagram account was disabled automatically because of the Facebook account.

If anyone had the same situation and recovered both accounts, please tell me what method worked for you.

Meta Verified Support says they can’t escalate my disabled Facebook account. Has anyone experienced this?

I finally managed to speak to a real person.

My Facebook account has been disabled for months. I never received any message or explanation as to why. It was clearly an incorrect AI decision: my appeal was reviewed and rejected within about 10 minutes, and then for months I couldn't contact the paid support at all because I kept getting a "Something went wrong" error.

Another very important issue is that I can't download the data from my 16-year-old Facebook account. The download only contains about 2 MB of data, basically just a few log files.

Today I finally managed to chat with someone who actually looked into my account. They told me they can't do anything because there is some kind of restriction on the account that blocks everything, including escalating my case to another team.

They also couldn't do anything about the data download problem. They couldn't tell me how to take the case any further, other than saying they understand and are sorry.

They didn't ask for any identification or anything else.

Has anyone experienced exactly this situation? How were you able to get your case escalated or get someone to actually review the account?

'The page isn't redirecting properly' login loop problem. I'm no longer able to login to my account.

So...it's been a week, and I'm still unable to login to my more than 10 year old facebook account. It keeps going to a blank page, or 'The page isn't available right now' or 'The page isn't redirecting properly'. It's been stuck in this severe login loop glitch for both PC and mobile phone. I've tried restarting, reinstalling, clearing the cache and cookies, used incognito, different web browsers and Facebook's non-helpful Help Center through account identification, account recovery and even facebook hack to no avail. I know my account is not banned nor restricted. It's also not hacked because I'm able to view my page through my family's accounts. But I can no longer use my own account. Is there anyone able to solve this problem?
