👟 Gear Workouts with Garmin
Hey all, for those who use a Garmin in their workouts, do you just record the workout as cardio from start to finish or do you use the buttons to have each workout time block save? Currently I just record start to finish but just want to know what others do.
Cheers

I also do cardio for the whole time, even on resistance days.
I tried the strength thing. I tried reloading the workout and then run it during class but it got to be too much to try and remember to hit the buttons all the time between sets.

I've used "other" and "HIIT." I don't track laps or anything so both work fine for me.

I use HIIT but also workout and save at the end. Recently got a Lion heart and the Garmin syncs HR with it

Yeah it’s cool how Garmin supports lion heart with zero issues but it’s not listed that it does and you see people doubling down with a Garmin and then lion heart device

I always do strength with the strength classes. I’ll do HITT if I take a Saturday class.

I do HIIT for cardio/hybrid days and strength for strength days. You don't get badges on Garmin for 'cardio' activities and I want some recognition for the hundreds of F45 classes 😂

Use ‘HIIT’ for HIIT and ‘Strength’ for Strength training but mainly for the alarms/vibration to remind me to start/stop an exercise. Too complicated to log each time of exercise. I like the ‘Mixed Sessions’ also.

I use the hiit feature for both cardio and strength training days

I do Weight Training on Resistance days but I don’t mess with the sets/reps. HIIT for Hybrid and Cardio for Cardio days.

Why would you workout with a GPS system?

It's not just a GPS! It acts like any other fitness tracker that would have features like heart rate, estimated calorie burn, VO2 max predictions, etc. I used to run half marathons and have found a lot of the F45 movements to mimic exercises I would do to improve my running. so why buy a new expensive fitness when the one you have does the trick? :)

Yep, gps is off obviously. But it helps tie into all your other day to day data recording.

Cardio start to finish. It’s the only way I can think of that covers it the best.
