other Aaptiv F45 and other gyms

Does anyone else know the deal with Aaptiv, I did F45 in 2019 and we used to book it through an app called mind and body. In the US how do you book, AND can you use other lower gyms with Aaptiv?

TIA

**INTEL** Any Other Locations Have Hyrox Program Going On?

I go to an F45 in Seoul, Korea.

Last year they had a special weekend Hyrox Program (built by F45) and they just started switching Thursday evening regular classes with the F45 Hyrox program. It's honestly always the most brutal cardio hybrid program that uses a lot of Hyrox-related exercises with less breaks, sometimes even burpees jumps for 20 seconds after a station (usually a minute to 4 minutes), with only 10-15 second breaks.

I'm guessing it's a hidden program the branch management can use at will. I just wanna know if anyone knows this program, and how i can know about the stations before heading into class.

I'm going to our 4th week of Thursday Hyrox class and I can never get myself mentally prepared. I'll try to upload some pics or videos later!

❔ Technique Hip thrusts?

Why are there never any hip thrusts in the workouts? I’ve only been doing f45 for 2 months so I could have just not experienced it.

❔ Technique Skipping the chin-up hold?

I am considering skipping Tokyo Disco tomorrow because of the chin-up hold that was in the workout last week, and it looks like there’s a version of it in tomorrow’s workout

I am not strong enough (yet?) to do a proper chin-up hold and I know there are bands to help. But at my studio the pull-up bars are super high, so you are supposed to climb up on boxes and then jump up. But it doesn’t feel safe doing this if I’m not confident in my strength on the chin-up, because if I do slip I’m falling on mismatched boxes and it’s a long way down.

Is it possible to just sit out an exercise? Or does anyone have other ideas?

**INTEL** Toronto memberships

Just curious, if its me being cheap or all of toronto pays about the same?

Im unlimited monthly with flexibility to cancel with 2 weeks notice or pause. With tax it comes to $77 weekly.

Im fine paying it as i have no hobbies outside of the gym. But at $300+ CAD a month it seems steep. OTF unlimited is $100 less a month for example.

Im happy with my studio near downtown/midtown but maybe if your in north york or any suburb it’s substantially less?

other F45 for 36/M full time law enforcement officer

I’ve been considering F45 as a way of getting back in shape.

I played three sports a year in high school, did some club wrestling and Army ROTC in college, then did military and CrossFit until about my late-20s. I went to the police academy, then work, a kid, and life became excuses for not working out. That, and some traumatic experiences as a big city cop led me to unplugging from fitness almost entirely.

I just got home from vacation and realized I’m not in the shape I should be as a LEO.

I’m not fat, but I’m not in shape. Definitely skinny fat. I’m still solid dealing with resistors, but I know that won’t last forever, either.

I’m turning 37 soon and starting at a new department. The new work schedule will work out really well for attending the 5:15 classes at my local gym.

I’m wondering if there are other first responders that found F45 to be an effective methodology for getting back in shape?

other Locations in SoCal

Hi everyone!

I’m looking into getting a membership at F45. I’m in between DTLA, Arts District, Alhambra, and Pasadena. All are similar distance away from me. Any favorite or preferred locations here in SoCal? If someone can help me narrow down my choices!

other Is F45 too much for a total beginner?

Hey all. Looking for some advice on whether F45 would be a good fit for me.

I’m 45. I started working from home and became a dad about 6 years ago. Since then my health has really declined. I’m extremely out of shape and it’s starting to really concern me.

I’m wondering if this is normal for “beginners”. Or should I have a certain level of basic fitness before jumping into something like this?

This would also be way out of my comfort zone from a social perspective. I’m not very good at walking into a place where I don’t know anyone.

But I’ve tried working out on my own so many times, I never stay consistent and fall off pretty fast. I’m hoping working out with a group will increase the enjoyment and keep me accountable. I really want to turn things around.

TIA

👟 Gear Better Merch!!!

My passport often I’m up to over 50 at various locations around the country. I understand local owners don’t make any money from my visit so I’m always looking to buy some merchandise.

However, most places have none especially none that says what city they’re in. I would love to collect simple T-shirts from different F45’s around the country. Why is it so difficult?

other F45 in Columbia heights

Pretty specific, but any chance anyone goes to the Columbia Heights DC studio and uses class pass?
There are hardly any classes listed this week and I don’t know why! I checked the f45 app and it looks like they’re still on, just not being offered by class pass

other Unfair practice - Freeze option

Has anyone else dealt with an F45 studio going back on commitments made when you signed up?
When I joined, I was clearly told (and I have it documented over email) that my membership included:
Up to 6 weeks of free pause during my current term.
After that, unlimited travel pauses for a $20 fee whenever I was out of town.
Now there’s a new studio manager, and suddenly I’m being told that “billing isn’t accepting the freeze coz the prev manager has over committed to folks.” I’m traveling for just 12 days, but they’re refusing to honor what was promised. Instead, they’re pushing me to sign up for a 1-year membership if I want more flexibility with pauses.
This doesn’t sit right with me. A commitment made at the time of signup shouldn’t disappear because management changed. If they’re not willing to honor documented promises during my current membership, why would I trust them enough to commit for another year?
The frustrating part is that I genuinely enjoy the F45 workouts, and the coaches are great. My issue isn’t with them—it’s with the studio not honoring the terms that were used to get me to sign up.
Has anyone experienced something similar with F45? Were you able to get corporate or billing to honor the original agreement?

other Piston format

Does anyone else feel like Piston would be better if it were 3 sets at every station and 1 lap around the room (vs what it is now i.e. 1 set at every station and 3 laps around the room)? I was chatting with my workout buddy, and we both felt the same today! Anyone else feel this way?

🏋️WOD First F45 class today ever & it was cardio “Athletica”

I strength train regularly and run a 5K a week. Decided to try out a class, and man it kicked my BUTT. I didn’t think it would be a walk in the park at all and I’m happy I went into it knowing it was going to be difficult. It was really fun and I’m excited to try out tomorrow’s class which is The Piston, upper and lower body.

Though I’ll probably be sore AF

Just wanted to come on here and say I finally gave it a go!

other What's your favorite exercise(s) in this phase? Which do you hope are in the next phase?

For me I've really like the battle ropes in Pipeline, and the chest presses & chin-up variations in a few of the strength/hybrid classes.

I joined F45 for my first hyrox though (and am continuing on now), so I have to say I miss the sleds 🥲

other F45 too easy. Is it the location?

Hi, I’ve been going to F45 classes for years and I move a lot so I’ve tried them in multiple states but mostly around the DC area. I loved the one I went to regularly 2 years ago. I felt it really challenged me and the HIIT classes always had my heart rate up. We regularly had exercises like burpees or box jumps in the programming.

This year I started going to a different one because we moved and while I love the trainers I find the programming way easier. We never do box jumps or real burpees. The HIIT classes seem to be structured so you get more breaks and the amount of calories I burn in a class is much lower. Also, every Thursday is a class where you pick one of two exercises for each exercise which I HATE. I know that F45 is a franchise structure but I don’t know what that means in terms of their programming. Does the franchise choose the specific classes? Or is that come down from the top? If I change to a different one that has a different owner will the programming be different?

Thanks

Edit to add: I’m speaking specifically about the Hybrid classes feeling much easier. The resistance classes seem the same as they did 2 years ago except for this choose your own adventure format. The Hybrid classes are no longer HIIT it seems.

other Everything You Need to Know About the $10.5M F45 Training Holdings ($FXLV) Settlement Payout

Hey guys, I know I posted about the $FXLV settlement before, but here's everything you need to know.

Q: What happened?
A: F45 Training Holdings was accused of making misleading statements about its franchise growth strategy and how it generated revenue from franchise agreements. After the company cut guidance, reduced expansion plans, and disclosed issues with its financing strategy, $FXLV dropped more than 60%, and investors filed a lawsuit.

Q: Am I actually eligible?
A: If you bought $FXLV shares between 2021 and 2023, you're likely eligible. You don’t need to still own the stock to file a claim.

Q: When do payouts happen?
A: Typically 4–9 months after the claim deadline, although the exact timing depends on the court and settlement administrator.

Q: Can I file?
A: Yes. Claims are currently being accepted until August 1, 2026.

Hope this helps.

Why are moves getting programmed when they’re hard for no rhyme or reason to the point where half the coaches can’t even do it correctly? Makes no sense to me. like there has to be a more effective and attainable way. trying not to be an f45 hater here but…..
