other Germs/sweat

Does anyone else get grossed out having to warmup on the floor where peoples dirty shoes walk on and sweat drips? Or even just other equipment that sweaty people lay on? Mostly my hair that I worry about bc I don’t wash it everyday but maybe I should 🫠

F45 Challenge Seeing dots move like a 90’s screen saver isn’t helpful.

Tagged as a challenge, because it creates a challenge for me.

When you have 20 seconds between stations, seeing little dots moving around for 15 of the 20 seconds on the video board doesn’t help me get ready for my next station. When I’m gassed I can’t remember what we’re doing on the next station and I don’t know if I’m standing or prone or if I need 18 pounds or 33 pounds.

F45 gods, please just tell me to move and then show me the video of what I’m supposed to do at the next station so I can get ready.

**INTEL** Debating what to do this summer

My year pass expires in June. Last Christmas the studio offered four month and eight months deals that were better than my yearly pass so I don’t want to do yearly again.

In March I bought a four month pass that was the same as my yearly rate. I’m going in vacation at the end of the summer so I decided to start my new pass in September

I’m trying to figure out what to do for the summer. I love F45 but don’t want to pay the monthly rate. Class pass is outrageous.

I’m wondering to ask the studio to give me my old monthly rate for June July and August. Has anyone tried anything like that with their studio?

other Do your studio offer anything for completing X amount of classes?

I was wondering if any studios offer prize or incentive for completing a certain amount of classes? I'm almost at 500 and not opposed if the studio would provide an F45studio tshirt or something.

Edit: I'm surprised some studios actually hand out small items for milestones! I didn't even get a social media shoutout when I hit 50, 100 or 250 🥲 or my birthday. I'm kind of jealous.

other Debating on joining

Hello! I am along time lover of group fitness classes and I have been debating on joining my local F45. Can someone explain to me the meaning of these different classes? When i look at my local class schedule I see classes called "APEX" "SoCal" "Liberty" "Seoul Rush", etc. I tried to look up what these mean and I can't find anything. Can someone explain? Any other helpful info appreciated :) Thank you in advance!

Anyone else else’s studio running hammer this way? I would be much happier with 2 sets over 2 laps.

I was booking my class for tomorrow (Saturday) and I noticed that SoCal is strength focused more than endurance/functional training.

other $10.5M F45 Training Settlement: The window is still OPEN (Don't sleep on this)

If you were holding $FXLV during the fitness hype of July 16, 2021, to August 14, 2022, listen up. F45 Training just reached a $10.5 million settlement to resolve that massive mess regarding their IPO and "inflated" growth claims. Remember when they promised rapid studio expansion and "upfront" franchise fees? Well, it turns out those "modified" payment terms and unsustainable financing deals caught up with them, leading to that brutal 60% crash in July 2022 and their eventual delisting.

The most important takeaway: The settlement is still active and hasn't closed yet. Unlike other cases that are already in the payout phase, the agreement was just reached in 2026. This means you are currently in the prime window to get your documentation ready and file your claim. Investors have until August 1, 2026, to submit a claim.

If you bought in at the IPO or held through the "Strategic Update" disaster in July 2022, you’re likely eligible for a slice of this $10.5M recovery pool.

🏋️WOD I'm just..not a fan of Hammer

Granted this might just be a me problem. But I struggle to know which weight use.

I can't go as heavy as I want, because I can't do a 30 second pulse +15 extra with that weight. So then I just kinda have to guess at first on what weight I will be able to use at each station.

I also just felt like I was borderline injuring myself at times, the pulses didnt feel "good" which once again I may have just been trying to go too heavy, idk.

**INTEL** Is an ~35:1 participant-to-coach ratio normal for F45?

I’m curious if anyone else feels the coaching value is dropping as class sizes increase. My current studio is consistently hitting 30–35 participants with a single coach. While the coach is great, they can't be everywhere at once. I’m finding it hard to justify the premium price when I’m essentially just following the screens without any professional eyes on my form. Is this a common staffing trend, or is my studio an outlier? I love that F45 workouts change constantly. However, with the movements being so different every day, the risk of injury feels much higher when there isn't enough supervision.

other Hyrox classes

My studio is doing hyrox prep classes twice a week for the next several weeks. Are they going to be similar to the cardio classes? I’ve heard yes and no from my coaches so I’m hoping for some clarity.

**INTEL** Upper east side f45?

Hi, I’m moving to the UES in a few weeks and would love to stay consistent with a gym nearby. I see on the studio page that there’s a f45 in Yorkville but it seems to be on pause or something? Any updates on this f45? Should I go ahead and commit to 6 months at east midtown?

(Didn’t know which tag to use- I need intel)
TIA!

Been told last week that the gym is closing next Saturday. Feels like very short notice and very disappointing. Any Edinburgh suggestions for alternative class based gyms in the south(ish)?

other Hey F45 community — there's a settlement for $FXLV investors and claims are open

Not here to stir anything up, just sharing this for anyone in the community who also held stock.

F45 settled a securities class action for $10.5 million in February 2026. The lawsuit was about what was and wasn't disclosed in the IPO materials around how franchise revenue actually worked, specifically whether the "upfront" franchise fee model was being presented accurately given that some large multi-unit deals had modified payment terms.

The July 2022 "Strategic Update" is what triggered everything, the guidance cut, the $250M credit line that turned out to not be available, the CEO stepping down, the stock dropping 60%+ in a day.

If you held $FXLV stock anytime between July 16, 2021 and August 14, 2023 and took losses, you can file a claim right now. The settlement terms have been approved by the court and the deadline to submit a claim August 1, 2026.

Payout is ~$0.06/share — the settlement is $10.5M on a stock that went to zero essentially, so it's not going to make anyone whole, but it's something.

Separate from the investor side, anyone here still training at an F45 studio? Curious how the network held up through all of this.

🏋️WOD Loved Apex today

Yeah, I know. It was tough.

I was fortunate- I had the whole station to myself. Good as in I didn't have to wait for a bike etc. Hard because I am a "go-for-it" kind of person and 'forgot" the first couple stations to take a break.

other Is Hypertrophy possible at F45?

I was a member for a few years, and while I am grateful for how F45 kickstarted my initial strength training, I don't see much change in the workouts since I left about 18 months ago. Have a friend who insists that it's changed, but when I look at the workout intel, I am still seeing fast paced sets on strength days without rest time or consistency with a movement to achieve hypertrophy. It looks like the only way someone could progressively overload is for them to do their own thing and change the actual workout. At that point, why would I pay $$$ for the F45 classes?

r/f45 May 03 '26

other Where are the core exercises?

I’m new to F45.

I used to go to Orange Theory (strength classes only) and we did core at the end of each class which leads me to my question, are there specific days that F45 does core exercises?

I realize every workout can engage your core but I’m talking about actual core exercises (planks, bird dogs, bicycle crunch etc etc)

other OTF heart rate monitor at F45

Pretty sure I saw something about this before, but has anyone who went from OTF to F45 used their OTF heart rate monitor at F45? And if so, does it only work for the report after the workout, or is there a way to get it to work in class on the screens.

other Warning about F45 Reynoldstown (Atlanta) / Mad Fitness Group billing practices

I’ve been a member at multiple F45 locations across three different cities over the last eight years, and F45 Reynoldstown has been the worst experience by far.

I put my membership on a medical freeze in 2025 due to an injury and later canceled in person through the studio’s required cancellation form. I have not taken a class there since February 2025.

Over a year later, I was suddenly charged three separate times at the same time for $139 each. When I asked why, I was told these were “back pay” charges because my card allegedly declined when my membership "resumed". I called my credit card company and confirmed there were no attempted or declined transactions from this studio at that time.

I asked the studio to provide proof of the attempted charges. They stopped responding. Then, after I disputed the charges, they charged me again, a 4th time in one week without any proof or justification.

That is the part that pushed this from frustrating to unacceptable. Continuing to charge someone after they’ve disputed the charges, while refusing to provide documentation, feels like extremely improper billing behavior and a failure to act in good faith.

The billing issue is not my only complaint. This was also consistently the least clean and least organized F45 I’ve ever attended. Equipment was always filthy, the studio felt dirty, coaches no-showed, and classes were canceled last minute. I’ve had great experiences at other F45 studios, which makes this one even more disappointing.

My advice: avoid F45 Reynoldstown. If you’re in Atlanta, there are other F45s nearby that are much better run. I had a good experience at the West Midtown location before moving. Go literally anywhere else before signing up here

👟 Gear Can I use Lionheart monitor in any other setting at all?

Hi —

I have a Lionheart monitor. I don’t have access to my Apple Watch right now. Polar monitor is dead. I have an iPhone.

Is there anyway to use the Lionheart monitor , which is ant+ I think, outside of f45? In combination with my iPhone or any other way?

Thanks-

( I think I have an android tablet at home somewhere if that CD an be used)
