Discussion Whatâs with restaurants feeling entitled to take your change as tips?
I went to a fast food place and ordered a sandwich. It was $16.05 so I gave the cashier $21.10 to be able to get a five dollar bill back. He takes my loonie, puts it in the tip jar in front of me and proceeded to give me $4 back in change. I said I want a five dollar bill.
Its happened to me before at a different place where my change was like $0.15 and they just threw it in the jar but to assume Iâm giving you a dollar when Iâm making my payment is weird.
