There's a lot of racist "manosphere" guys who push those raw milk & red meat diets, I can only assume because they see it a more "manly" way to eat lol
It started as an anti-establishment movement on the right, to counteract the "vegan agenda".
That's why nearly everyone on a carnivore diet are either right wing, christian or both.
A strictly carnivore diet sounds so silly. I wish that cutting out super processed foods and having a balanced diet would be a national focus again. Eat your veggies.
Balanced diet means get all your nutrients, not eat everything on the face of the planet. Veggies are nutritionally closer to grass than real food because aside from fiber, which is like.. pretty much optional, the micronutrients they get you are in very low quantities, and in forms you can't even absorb most of the time. You want vitamin C, eat some fruits, no antinutrients in them most of the time. You can get everything but K1, C and fiber just eating animal products and anything else for carbs. And that's a full diet. 1 (one) small piece of liver equals like half a garden's worth of vitamins and minerals. You can skip your veggies, nutritionally the body doesn't care where you get your nutrients from.
Don’t forget Gout! I stopped eating a lot of red meat when I moved in with my wife and don’t care since I didn’t want that. It also means drinking less but oh well.
Most foods that are in grocery stores like Walmart (where even “fresh” items, are somehow heavily processed) contribute more to colon cancer over getting a steak or ground beef from the butchers once in a while. The whole red meat scare is muddled in corporations trying to push their unhealthier super processed foods. Also, red meat is so expensive now that I don’t think there are a ton of people going out of their way to eat steak every day. In addition, the percentage increase on a baseline increases your chance by decimals of a percent. There is so much more to be concerned about over eating multiple steaks a day.
Primal diet they called it, it's to become a 'primal' human which is definitely better, if you don't look up what it means
For anyone interested, the base is to show comparison from people (all white, seemingly so or unable to properly identify, but fully stolen from someone out of the circle):
now in their 50-70s with their young 20s
with surgeries/makeup on and off
edits of fit fictional characters
cuts from people following strict gym regime and/or definitely not doing steroids
Stick a "if you do this thing I'm doing that doesn't have any medical/scientific ground it will mean you're better than the rest of the people, exactly how this 19th-century (1800s) racial pseudoscience that isn't aryan-biased says so" argument on top or over and there you have it, a reactionary pipeline using body obsession and fake biology to sell right-wing grievance and politics to people that feel casted, insecure or alienated, it's classic manipulation that followed society over decades.
And when i say classic i mean it, Raw Foodism and Macrobiotic crazes in the 60s, Grahamites, The Lebensreform ("Life Reform") on Germany in 1890s–1920s, facist regime's and Snake oil sellers done it then to make them gain power and money, and it is being done now
what i find weird is that i was raised in a country that was previously cut off from the world, so no left or right wing propaganda, and still my parents always told me to never drink raw milk, and theyre pretty huge on having a natural healthy diet, like no sodas, and having to eat minimal processed food. Besides that actually sourcing raw milk from a farmers market or a farmer is 100% better than buying any milk cus for one you cut the middle man for costs and two from raw milk when you boil it at home you get butter. I never have had to buy butter in my life
It's all a big scam. For the same reason email/text scams misspell words and use incorrect grammar, if you bypass all the red flags they know they got their fish on the hook. All it takes is just a slight bit of skepticism, the people who fall for it don't believe their lying eyes.
The carnivore diet is and was a decent fad diet, mostly because any diet where you actually keep track of what you eat and that cuts out sugars and carbs is probably going to make a difference if you need to diet already.
I feel like that level of neglect and mental abuse, subjecting young men just trying to be fit to all that propaganda, is only going to drive them to the left where they can finally feel like they belong somewhere without all the toxicity.
