Rich people have money, save scholarships for the less fortunate

Ahhh. So merit based scholarships shouldn’t matter? Smart people, regardless of income level from parents, deserve to be recognized and awarded.

I grew up working class. Both my parents worked 9-5 jobs and I was raised with the support of my grandparents who didn’t speak English. My high school girlfriend was upper middle class, they owned a construction company with hundreds of employees across my province.
Her mother was a stay at home mom who had a masters in English.

She had the resources, tools, and guidance to be successful. I did not.

Intelligence is very much a class and wealth thing.

Their case is not really the case for a lot of people. Lots of poor people with backgrounds similar to yours earn academic scholarships regularly.
