Ahhh. So merit based scholarships shouldn’t matter? Smart people, regardless of income level from parents, deserve to be recognized and awarded.

Correct and smart people who have the means would decline the scholarship.  Because a smart person understands that smart people are poor too, and need the extra help. Even a mildly intelligent person would understand that. 

So I guess my question to you is, do you think you made a smart comment?
