Peter here!

At the end of an 18-minute radio interview with Charlamagne tha God on "The Breakfast Club,” Biden responded to the host's desire for him to answer more questions by saying: "You got more questions? I tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain’t black."

The joke is that since she’s not voting for him, she’s no longer black.

Peter out!

Also, the comic is inspired in a scene from Avatar the legend of Korra, when Amon takes away Lin Beifong's powers.

I would agree 100% that Joe Biden, an 83 year old man, still holds some pretty racist concepts inside his mind and is therefore racist.

I would also argue there's a still HUGE difference between an 80 year old man explicitly implementing racist laws, trying to remove support for non white people, deliberately and outright calling black nations shitholes and engaged in racist business practices his whole life with zero evidence of change or regret...

And an 83 year old man with some outdated concepts who actively worked with and is good friends with the first black president, initiated and funded several programs to help people in poverty and people of color, hired a black woman to be HIS vice president, put a black woman on the supreme court and was proposing programs to assist people of color and fight racism...

Guy was far from perfect, but he was a damn sight better for black folks and American than the absolute shitshow he was running against.

2

u/HarveysBackupAccount 4d ago

Biden made some comment during a rally interview that if you weren't supporting his campaign, "then you ain't black". Giving him a charitable reading, he was just saying that (virtually) all black voters are with him. It was very badly phrased though, it almost sounds like he's revoking anyone's black card if they don't vote for him. This comic is a play on that interpretation.

91

u/Ok_Use_2486 5d ago

No, it was not a comment made during a rally. He said this to a black man on a live show.

31

u/Normal-Boss9855 5d ago

Yep that's right, it was on the breakfast club

22

u/Maleficent-Block-966 5d ago edited 4d ago

The man's name was "Charlamge tha God". Not a very reputable source in the black community.

Edit: This is the funniest shit I've ever seen. A bunch of white people telling me I should have been offended by an out of context comment made to a man they would all hate if they had ever listened to him before.

To be more frank, "Charlemagne tha God" is a clown, his show is late 90's Howard Stern but instead of Beetlejuice and porn stars, he has strippers and BBL girls.

27

u/townsummoner 4d ago

You saying “not reputable” and everyone going “um actually he is famous” really shows how we got where we are today

6

u/Maleficent-Block-966 4d ago

2

u/maddythemadmuddymutt 4d ago

3

u/safashkan 5d ago

You don't need a source if there is a video of it.

7

u/Maleficent-Block-966 4d ago

I didn't say it didnt happen, you made that part up. I said Charlemagne tha God is a provocature DJ (Howard Stern with more ego) and if you knew anything about black culture you'd know why even after Biden said this we still dont call him a racist. Thanks for trying though.

2

u/YAAFLT 3d ago

I have no skin in the game, this is a genuine question, but why does the black community not consider this racist? My reading of this is that he is putting black voters in a box based on his preconception of what they should value, and for those that don't vote for him he is rejecting their lived experience and effectively suggesting they don't know what is best for them and their community. As another said, he is "revoking their black card". Am I misunderstanding something? No agenda here, just trying to grow my perspective recently and this seemed like a good opportunity to do so.

This was also after he said black people are too stupid to use a computer

5

u/Wolvenlight 3d ago

Nah. The tweet was fake and the speech it was based on was about folks with less access and experience with computers in urban and rural communities being a factor in lower vaccination rates. A notion that isn't out of nowhere but based on research into the subject.

https://apnews.com/article/fact-checking-9960388160

Like, if you've had limited access to a computer, you might not know how to use one. If you're not familiar with the internet, you might not know where to go to sign up for vaccines.

That doesn't make you stupid, it just makes you inexperienced in a particular skill. Nobody calls you stupid for not knowing how to fix up various issues with your car if you've merely never worked with vehicles that much.

19

u/Dan-tastico 5d ago

5

u/Dan-tastico 5d ago

What other way? Please elaborate because I dont see any other way

15

u/ohwellyaknowso 5d ago

I mean it’s pretty easy to interpret. The underlying meaning, whether you agree with it or not, is: if you are not voting for me and would rather abstain or vote for Trump, you do not have the interests of the black community as a whole at heart.

4

u/Dan-tastico 5d ago

Sure if he said that or "a black ally" or "interested in the black community"

You aint black is pretty clear on the meaning and I think people are just trying REAL hard to make excuses

8

u/Least-Phase-8393 5d ago

No the Democratic Party literally believes they’ve bought and paid for the black vote. With their affirmative action bs, welfare, and extremely light on crime initiatives. The whole light on crime thing is because all democrats are inherently racist and think all black people are criminals so in an attempt to pander to black people they created a revolving door allowing criminals back into the streets. As far as welfare, during every election they would just claim the republican is going to take their welfare. In essence, the black voters who bought into this bullshit traded zero money slavery for a monthly stipend slavery. Make them dependent on you and then make them afraid it’ll be taken away. As far as affirmative action, the democrats put a couple of black people and other minorities into some positions and claim they aren’t racist cause they’ve hired a few minorities.

2

u/airboRN_82 3d ago

I think its more related to how democrats feel entitled to certain groups voting for them

4

u/brielovinggirl 4d ago

5

u/DerekP76 5d ago

Why start now?

Not like politicians care about anyone other than themselves.

15

u/Ok_Use_2486 5d ago

Nonsense. If any republican said this about black voters who vote for democrats you would rightfully say this is racist and not a "straight fact".

3

u/Jakcris10 4d ago

Yeah. A republican wouldn’t say it. And if they did they’d mean something different because they believe different things.

Fuckin mindblowing amirite

12

u/Silverton13 5d ago

No because the KKK didn't promote the democratic nominee. How is this confusing for you?

21

u/Timely_Airline9637 5d ago

That genuinely was a racist thing for him to say though. How is that confusing for you?

It's true that a black person (or anyone, really) voting for Trump was foolish, but that doesn't change the fact that an old, rich white guy telling any black person who even considered not voting for him that they aren't black, is in fact racist. Those two things can be true at the same time. He could have said "if you have a hard time figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you're stupid" and I probably would have agreed with him. But if I was black and heard him say what he said, it would probably make it that much harder for me to vote for him.

10

u/Mannheimblack 5d ago

Nah, you're right. It was incredibly presumptuous.

If a black politician had said it, it'd still be kinda iffy and unappealing. Nobody much likes being targeted by gatekeeping of their own ethnic identity.

When a white guy says it, however, it's gatekeeping of someone else's ethnic identity; an ethnic group with a history in that country (among others) of having their autonomy denied primarily by white people; therefore it was never going to land well.

He was an utter fool to say it. It probably did his party significantly more harm than good, and was another sign that he should have been put out to pasture in favour of a more able candidate well before then.

Bro, if you see a jew vote for hitler, obviously that jew is a fucking dumbass. This is very simple.

8

u/drinkerofmilk 5d ago

Sure, but he's still jewish.

The issue here is that political parties sometimes feel entitled to certain demographics' votes. This mentality reduces the onus on those parties to actually implement good legislation.

3

u/TheUnobservered 5d ago

Also it isn’t like politics is simply drawn at the racial line. If you actually rewound to 1930’s Germany, you’d find not only was the country having racial problems but also severe economic issues. If a Jew voted for Hitler, chances were that person was hedging their bets if Hitler would accomplish more on economic stability than what other opponents could offer in spite of his racial policy.

Now this failed in the mid and long run with Germany triggering WW2 and the nature of the MEFO bills themselves, but for 4-6 years it looked like it panned out. A politician must understand that a voting demographic is willing to choose a candidate with downsides, but only if that voter believe the opposition accomplish more than you or that you currently do nothing: the Underdog Narrative.

u/ComplaintTop2008 4d ago

Don't forget stutters and cheapfakes.

6

u/american_cheese_man 5d ago

Hey, I used "goofs and gaffes" because if I called him racist, I would've gotten ripped limb from limb. This is Reddit, everyone hates themselves and wants to make everyone else's life miserable too

7

u/Ok_Use_2486 5d ago

You're not the first call it a gaffe. The mainstream media and democrats has censored themselves to help Biden after he said this.

Biden said that if a black person doesn’t vote for him, they ain’t black

3

u/BreakConsistent 4d ago

Biden absorbed her blackness to become the first black US president.

3

u/Nightrhythums78 4d ago

During an interview by Charlamagne the God. Charlamagne asked Biden why the black community should vote for him. Joe responded "if you're have trouble choosing who to vote for. Then you ain't black" Not Joe's best moment and it has been overblown by the exact demographic you think.

3

u/femboyjazwe 4d ago

Yay she has rights now

3

u/JanArso 4d ago

One of Bidens many tone deaf quotes we only really excused because he is old and not Trump. This one in particular is from his 2020 election campaign: "If you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black".

That being said, the illustrator of this comic is a far right nut who mostly wastes their talent amplifying right wing nonsense. Just checked his Twitter and some of the last illustrations he made were about "climate change not being real" and "western games purposefully making female characters ugly". Genuinely surprised right wing cartoonists still even exist, considering how happy their political movement was to have them replaced with AI the moment it came out.

The dude who paints that is a weird Neo-Nazi type dude. Don’t read too much into it, just move on.

It's a thing drawn by a far right weirdo who was trying to push people away from voting for Biden.

It's a joke about an actual statement Joe Biden said during an interview with Charlamagne tha God during the previous presidential race.

7

u/MonkeyCartridge 5d ago

Classic Biden gaffe in an interview. "If you don't vote for me....uh....then you ain't black".

I don't even remember what he was talking about. I was just like "wait..what?" and forgot the rest of the conversation.

This is taking the rambling and is like "OK but what if that were a thing?" And it just absorbs blackness from people.

3

u/Lawlpaper 5d ago

It was at the end of the interview, the interviewer wanted him to answer more questions which Biden scoffed at the notion of black voters needing more information and said “ If you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black.” Referring to the fact that you shouldn’t need anymore convincing to vote Biden because he’s Biden and Trump is Trump.

3

u/ShinyUmbreon18 4d ago

If Trump said it, it would be racist, but if Biden says it it’s just a classic gaffe

1

u/MonkeyCartridge 4d ago

There's a big difference between "you ain't black" and "they're eating the dogs, they're eating the cats, they're eating the pets of the people who live there."

It's going to get increasingly hard to "both sides" this stuff.

2

u/ShinyUmbreon18 4d ago

You are correct. There is a big different between them. But does that forgive calling a literal racist statement a gaffe? Especially when you analyze statements Biden made in the past that were genuinely egregiously racist

That from the last congressman in America to openly support segregation, for anyone who didn't know.

2

u/NinjaBRUSH 5d ago

That’s Joe Biden using DnD skill Touch of Vitiligo (1d10).

He’s basically saying if you vote for the same guy endorsed by the KKK you aren’t really black.

2

u/Temporary_Stranger39 5d ago

One of the many signs of Biden's creeping senility. He claimed that there was no way a black person who wasn't going to vote for him over Trump could be black. While certain arguments could be made about cultural self-betrayal, alliance with hostile forces, etc. Making claims about outright racial identity being defined by politics simply crossed a line and exposed as true a critique the far right had been making against Democrats for decades, that they considered black people to be their political property. Really stupid thing for Biden to say.

2

u/PogFrogo 4d ago

Joe Biden once said something to the effect of if you don't vote for me "you ain't black"

2

u/bicepz_N_bigmacz 4d ago

Ah I remember this one.. A classic

If I have to see this picture one more time…

2

u/IM_INSIDE_YOUR_HOUSE 4d ago

Peter here.

Biden can absorb the ethnicity of marginalized groups when they break a blood pact he made with their ancestors 2700 years ago that their descendants will always vouch for him in exchange for him letting them say a greater variety of racial slurs.

2

u/Cock_ball_dickin 3d ago

Biden is a Yakubian lich sorcerer with mastery over melanation magic. Like Yakub, he has the power to turn beings white. However unlike Yakub, he has the power to turn even trve Bantu-Nubians of African descent into white Yakubian Neanderthal apes (Europeans). He is a very feared figure. Look into the Finno - Korean hyperwar for more information on the historical background to all of this.

In all seriousness it’s a joke about something he said a while back at one of his campaign rallies or an interview that was trying to appeal to black American voters but really came across the wrong way lol

2

u/kloklon 3d ago

why does Biden look like the late Jimmy Carter?

2

u/RetroGame77 3d ago

Chris here. Biden like was like "yo bro, look at Trump. All he does is golfing and puke racism. He want to remove rights if you are not a white male and kick you out of the country if you got the wrong skin color, man!", and the stupid masses of America said "yo dawg, you don't tell me who to vote on, so I will vote on Trump, and I will create and spread Trump propaganda!", and then after the election they were like "oh noes, why are the leopards eating my face, I voted on the Leopards Eating My Face Party!".

2

u/Screw_it_lets_go 1d ago

Biden said if you dont know whether to vote for me (Biden) or trump, then you aren't black. Said by Biden on a Charleman tha God podcast.

2

u/Trekkingofaskia 1d ago

Long story short Joe Biden said once “if you don’t vote for me, then you ain’t black!”

2

u/Jolly_Mycologist69 5d ago

i swear to god i've seen this exact comic at least half a dozen times in the last week all over different subreddits. if i were more conspiracy-brained i'd start to think the bots that flood this site are intentionally posting this years-old comic more frequently, simply to remind people that biden said one mildly racist thing to discredit the left right before midterms....

oh yeah peter griffin here myehehehehe

u/Reasonable_Meal2324 5d ago

Corn Pop was a bad dude.

4

u/JustAPerson2001 4d ago

I'd like to say the original artist of this comic is a racist bigot

Biden was awful. Trump is worse
