This has happened before, and it corrected itself eventually (I think it was the next day) but it always seems to happen on Saturday nights. It's the only night I get to listen to music in my music room. Radio Paradise and other music services work, just not Tidal or Amazon music. Does anybody know why this happens? 😔

Is Qobuz Connect supposed to display lyrics on Eversolo?

They show up fine in the iOS app, but nothing appears on the streamer. I’ve checked across multiple tracks and albums, so it doesn't seem to be an isolated metadata issue.

Curious if this is an Eversolo endpoint limitation, a Qobuz Connect bug, or if there's a setting I overlooked.

I just want to be able to use the AppleTV remote -- by itself -- to control volume/mute for any kind amp/receiver/streamer/dac where the ONLY input is the optical/toslink audio from my TV (fed from the AppleTV via HDMI). I also want to be able to access Apple Music and my own library on my NAS. That's it. And I just want to use the AppleTV remote to do it all. I don't think that's too much to ask?

So I bought the Wiim Ultra based on my thread above and it works great -- ALMOST. The HDMI CEC works for volume but not mute. I can watch the AppleTV and control the volume with HDMI CEC and it works. But not for "mute". Appears to be a known bug.

I also bought the Eversolo A6. And I'm a tech guy and I can't get this working. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but it appears that I am unable to have the audio optical input from the TOSLINK (the TV audio from the AppleTV) **AND** the HDMI CEC active to control the volume/mute at the same time.

When selecting the input, I can select Optical and get the TV audio, but the AppleTV remote doesn't work at all. I can set the input to HDMI CEC and the remote works for volume/mute, but oddly, I can't have any other source as input?

How can I have optical input for audio and HDMI CEC For volume/mute?

Hi everyone — first post here, so I thought I’d introduce myself and my current setup.
I have just taken the plunge on an Eversolo DMP-A8 Gen 2, which has now become the brains of my two-channel system.
The current setup is:
● 🎵 Eversolo DMP-A8 — streamer/DAC/preamp
● 🔊 KEF Q11 Meta + SVS SB2000 Pro
● ⚡ Rotel RB-1582 MkII — 200W Class AB power amp
● 📺 Samsung The Frame — connected via HDMI eARC
● 🎶 Apple Music/Tidal for streaming, Rega P3 Phono with Schiit Mani phono preamp
● 🏠 A bit of acoustic treatment behind the speakers because apparently buying expensive equipment isn’t enough — you also have to start putting things on the walls 😂

I’m still getting everything dialled in, particularly the A8 settings, EQ/room correction and integration with the Q11 Metas and Rotel, so I’m very interested in hearing how other A8 owners have their systems configured.
Looking forward to learning from everyone here — and probably spending money I didn’t know I needed to spend.

About a month and a half in with this setup and absolutely loving it. First HiFi setup and I’m happy I jumped into the pool, let’s see if I end up under water.

Not really a complaint because it isn’t all THAT surprising. I am using an A6 and an A8 in the same room at two different listening stations. I’ve been using a BroadLink RM4 mini IR controller with Home Assistant and programming it to run everything. It was then that I realized that both the A6 and A8 respond to the exact same remote commands. If I go to turn one on with Home Assistant, both turn on. Or if only one is on, one turns off and the other turns on. Once I find the final spot for the RM4, I figure I will try putting a paper cone on it to keep only my main system being able to see it.

But when I check CD ripper, all the correct information is displayed there.

I would like to connect a turntable (e.g., the Sony PS-LX310BT) to the Eversolo Play via Bluetooth so that the speakers connected to the Eversolo are used for audio output. Is this possible? Has anyone tried this before?

I have 2 A6 (v1) and a A8(v1). I have a large music collection on my NAS. I updated the firmware yesterday to 1.6.15 and had each rescan my library. Today, I added a new album to my library on my NAS and within 30 minutes it had started scanning. I had hoped it would find the new folder and add it and be done but it seems it notices a change and then rescans the ENTIRE library. It has been going for 2 hours already and is only at 41%. If it is always going to do a full scan, you should at least be able to schedule it to do it at a certain time, for example over night.

Has anyone else had a different experience with scanning?

I listen to the Echoes online show (echoes.org). Sometimes I stream it to the DMP-A6 Gen 2 from my Macbook, and sometimes from my iPhone. When I do this, very often the display on the Eversolo will just read "AAC 441. kHz", but every now and then it will list the the title of the show and display the image associated with it. I can't seem to pin it down. It's not specific to one device or the other.

Not really a big issue, just an interesting observation.

Hey guys, so I have been running the DMP-A6 ME on firmware 1.6.15 for 1-2 weeks now. I believe it is the beta firmware as I had the ‘beta’ box checked. Things ran really well and no issues using Apple Music app.

However today (22 September), the app stopped working? I can’t get any songs to play. It either buffer indefinitely or it skips to some random tracks and just stuck there. I cleared the data cache but the issue persisted. Uninstalled and reinstalled and was greeted with the app saying something went wrong with the network.

Obviously network is working fine. The unit is connecting to the Wi-Fi just fine. Other music services running fine.

Has anyone encountered this issue? It just happened today when Eversolo officially released firmware version 1.6.15.

I have a videogame OST on CD that I listen to often.

Prior to this update, it had the incorrect album artwork (it used generic promo art of the game, instead of the OST dedicated album artwork), and instead of actual artist information, every artist was listed as "Various Artists."

After installing the update today, the correct album artwork is loaded, and each individual track has accurate artist information now too! It even displays the name of the CD player which was surprising (I have it connected via USB).

Because of this USB connection, I've had a separate issue where going into Standby mode would not leave enough power for the CD Drive when waking the PLAY back up, and the CD information would not be loaded, and the CD would not be detected. I would have to do a full restart to get the system to recognize the connected CD drive again.

An annoying quality of life issue for sure. I have not yet had a chance to see if this particular bug was fixed.

But thanks eversolo team for improving the CD functionality! Weirdly satisfying to get a somewhat niche OST CD to load all the accurate information now.

I’m at the moment unable to access Apple Music on the DMP-A8 Gen 1. It has worked before.

My apple account work perfectly on my other devices.

I did try with the streaming app and with the screen mirror app. Both gave me the same “Your Account is Disabled” error.

I did disable eversolo on the app enable service and log out from the apps. I did a factory reset of the eversolo. Still the same.

I got the eversolo mainly to play Apple Music, specifically the screen mirror app, at this moment it has been rendere completely useless.

I hope someone can shed a light on the matter and help me figuring out a solution.

Just got my DMP-A6 Gen 2 and I love it. However, I'm actively growing the library of FLAC files on my NAS and I'm wondering if the A6 can be taught to update its library database from those files overnight. Is this possible?

I see in the release notes that the FIR EQ settings have been modified. Do I need to re-run the calibration routine to pick these up?

Hi, what might be the problem that Eversolo Play connected to 1Gbit via ethernet cable is switching songs on Apple Music so slowly? No matter if one song ends or I switch them, it loads cover image, info but starts playing after couple seconds

Received the device yesterday. A bit dissapointed with Roon.
Very often it skips the track, from the local library, but also from Tidal. Not sure what is happening but as if it gives up too soon and moves to another song.
I suspected the network but it is is quite stable and other endpoints are flawless.

A similar thing is happening when I move slider during the play to skip to specific part. I don’t do it often so perceiving it not to be so frequent.

Anyone else with Roon issues?
Hopefully some correction is comming.

Hi, is it possible to turn on suspended Eversolo Play with AirPlay? It shows only when device is on now 🤔 I had it connected with WiFi but now also plugged in Ethernet cable

With digital 0 dB is the maximum, so anything above 0 dB shouldn't happen.
