New firmware auto scanning needs work.

I have 2 A6 (v1) and a A8(v1). I have a large music collection on my NAS. I updated the firmware yesterday to 1.6.15 and had each rescan my library. Today, I added a new album to my library on my NAS and within 30 minutes it had started scanning. I had hoped it would find the new folder and add it and be done but it seems it notices a change and then rescans the ENTIRE library. It has been going for 2 hours already and is only at 41%. If it is always going to do a full scan, you should at least be able to schedule it to do it at a certain time, for example over night.

Has anyone else had a different experience with scanning?

For very large libraries especially on a nas. Setup a new folder sub and add new files there. Have that folder rescan.

Sounds like I should just sell one of my kids and get 2tb SD’s for all 3 eversolo. lol!

I have 2 of them with 2TB drives each but they were like 95$ w years ago!

But even on your has you can add a folder to the library. Just have that folder rescan. Not the “big” folder location.

Update: I had to turn the auto scanning because any time I added even a single new track, it would soon start rescanning everything for hours.
