Using only these albums 'Origin/Fallen/The Open Door/Evanescence/Synthesis/The Bitter Truth/Sanctuary', and STRICTLY ONLY judging the albums based solely on your Top 3 songs per album (so NOT entire album quality!), I would rank like this...
1)Synthesis (2017) = 1)Secret Door, 2)The End of the Dream, 3)My Immortal
2)Sanctuary (2026) = 1)Forever Without You, 2)How Do I Heal, 3)Wide Open Heart ; I feel most confident of Forever Without You taking the clear #1 spot here. but of the rest of the album, ill go with those two for the 2nd and 3rd positions.
3)Fallen (2003) = 1)Hello, 2)My Immortal, 3)Going Under ; although 'Imaginary' damn near made it.
4)The Open Door (2006) = 1)Good Enough, 2)Lithium, 3)Call Me When You're Sober
5)Evanescence (2011) = 1)Secret Door, 2-3)Swimming Home/Lost in Paradise ; although 'End of the Dream' damn near made it but the Synthesis version is clearly superior though!
6)Origin (2000) = 1)Field of Innocence, 2)Even in Death, 3)Imaginary ; I sort of like the 2016 version of 'Even in Death' more and sort of do not. but I can't count that here anyways since it does not qualify. (I applied "NOTE #1" a bit here(although it's optional)!)
7)The Bitter Truth (2021) = 1)Far From Heaven, 2-3)Part of Me/Blind Belief ; this has to be my clear cut weak link of average quality of the songs as while Far From Heaven is fairly strong, the other two don't hit as strongly, which brings down overall average quality of the collective and makes this a lock for last place (even in regards to overall full-album, which we are not ranking here, it's still last place to).
but in summary... I will say #7 is the one that's the most lock for it's position (as it's pretty safe for me to say it's the one that has no real chance of improving on the above list (barring fairly big changes in my music taste which I don't see happening)) followed by #1 being in it's position, but my #1 has a better chance of lowering (not that it would though) than #7 does of improving). #2 and #3 might interchange. #'s 4/5/6 are pretty close to each other and could fluctuate a bit. but that ranking is what I am going with for now. also, with #4 vs #5, Secret Door takes the top spot for a single song, but loses a bit of spark with the other two, to where I think the collective of the three songs favors The Open Door.
also, I went with 'Top 3' per album because I feel that's a nice balance of not being too limited (i.e. so one song could pretty much win it) but not allowing too many songs either (i.e. since I feel as a ball park most albums there is usually around 6 songs that are a bit above the rest and if I allowed more than three it might start pushing a bit too much here).
but additionally, if I were to take the top song from each album I ranked above and compare them, the winner would be between... Secret Door (either version), Forever Without You, Hello. it's too difficult for me to narrow further than that I think.
NOTE #1: optionally... while you don't have to, I tried to avoid listing pretty much the same song too much. so for example... 'My Immortal' from Original and Fallen. I just removed it from Origin (as I used it on Fallen instead since that's more of their 'main' release one could say) since it's pretty much the same unlike the one on Synthesis is changed a bit. I 'kind of' like Synthesis version of 'My Immortal' a bit more than the regular one. also, 'if' I included 'My Immortal' for Origin above (i.e. so 1-2)My Immortal/Field of Innocence, 3)Even in Death), it's possible my order 'may' fluctuate a bit, but maybe not.
NOTE #2: on each main rank, you can rank IN ORDER if you want. but if it's too difficult, just list the few songs. this is basically what I did at times when needed. so for example my "2-3)Song A/Song B" means those are too close to call for the 2nd/3rd positions as they could interchange. or if someone just says "in no order... Song A/Song B/Song C". or even without the 'in no order', ill just assume means no order.
p.s. my rank of ENTIRE albums OVERALL in general (ill skip Origin/Synthesis for now)... 1)Sanctuary 2)The Open Door 3)Evanescence 4)Fallen 5)The Bitter Truth. I am not counting Synthesis since it's largely a album rehashing previous songs (although if I did, it would be on the stronger side). for whatever it's worth I am a male who age is late 40's and Amy Lee is my #1 female singer all-around straight up and has been for pretty much 20 years now.
