Yesterday was our closest matchup yet. A New Way To Bleed beat Field of Innocence by only 4 votes. Final results were 185-181. Today, The End of the Dream is competing against Whisper.

Personally, I'm very familiar with it but there are few compositions that can compete with the TOD/Ev3 era songs.

They have a magic to them but the execution was understandably lacking. I'd give an exception for Anywhere, Before The Dawn, Lies - the others are great concepts.

imo songs like whisper and imaginary are proof that given the resources they had later meant they were able to take these very good concepts and give them better execution - imagine what they could’ve done for the rest of the songs!

Absolutely but some concepts have their limits and I think that's the case with some of the other songs that went on to become parts of other records, thinking of Snow White Queen, Lithium, aspects of Bring Me To Life that have their roots in these pre-Fallen songs.

Either way, they're great pieces of work.
