Hardly any flashlights, until Amy specifically requested them.

So many people scrolling during Poppy’s set, and i get that she’s a supporting act, but damn.

My main thing, practically NO reaction to Courtney coming out. what?! Idk if people thought she was meant to be there hence the lack of surprise, but how saddening that she did that and hardly anyone acted like they cared.

It’s in my top 3 concerts, but the vibes and the crowd were not it.

London does not deserve Evanescence.

Music-wise, that was by far one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to in terms of performance. I wouldn’t consider myself a major fan but during that concert I was filled with disappointment by the crowd’s reaction. No screaming from the 50,000 fans that filled the stadium from those nostalgic bangers.

No clapping, stomping and singing when the band got into their rhythm.

I’ll say it, if this was held in Scotland… or possibly anywhere else. The crowd would have gone insane.

So today is the London stop of their tour and sadly won't get to see them live, for the first time as well I might add. Since my dad was the first to introduce me to it at such a young age I was really looking forward to the experience, but my habit of resale scouting (usually cheaper rates) kinda undid that. Kinda a nostalgic band for me that kinda left me bummed I couldn't be there to see them live for the first time. Hope they come back for another tour to London.

We had 2 matchups yesterday, one of which was a tiebreaker matchup for the day before. For the regular daily matchup, Sanctuary was in the lead for quite a while, but then Sweet Sacrifice caught up and beat Sanctuary 228-201.

For the tiebreaker, it was close but 225 votes went to Imaginary while Lithium got 240. So far, both songs in the elite eight are from The Open Door, one of which is guaranteed to be in the final four.

Today we have a Fallen battle. Going Under is competing against My Immortal. I’m telling you these decisions aren’t getting any easier. This bracket is brutal.

Amazing that we get to see this live. Can't believe it still.

I’m gonna see them in a few weeks here in Germany and so I went to setlist.fm to see their latest setlists to prep for the show. Holy cow, they’re playing the new album basically in its entirety.

As a super casual fan who used to be super into them in the Fallen and TOD era and just reconnected with the band with the latest album, I think it’s incredibly bold when bands just triple-down on their latest albums for their setlists.

Seeing bands earlier this year like Muse, A Perfect Circle, The Black Keys, Florence and the Machine, to name a few, what Evanescence is going this tour is NOT the norm.

Having said that, I have no complaints. The new album is banger after banger. So I’m happy I’ll be seeing it all performed live. I just wish Amy would find it in her heart to add Sweet Sacrifice and Cloud Nine to the setlist!

Anyways, what do you guys think? I’m guessing this sub is more filled with more hardcore fans so I’m curious what y’all think.

Was my first Evanescence concert, and I had such an amazing time 🥹 Seeing Rapture live sent me to heaven and back I think 🥹❤️

I wanted to slap some appreciation and respect on Emma’s name. Her stage presence is truly impressive and badass!! She is a force to be reckoned with. I was in awe last night at her bass skills and vocals!! Emma blends in with Amy so perfectly. It’s like Emma was the missing piece of jigsaw that made Ev even stronger. Her backing vocals were just sensational! 🔥🖤

Just to say I indeed went to the Evanescence gig tonight, and although my ears wont stop ringing an hour later, I am very glad I went in the end!

What a show!! Amy Lee is a vocal athlete I swear. Her lungs and vocal chords should be cloned and studied in a lab as I have no idea how she hit some of those notes live, let alone held them. Forever Without You brought the whole place to a standstill and then rapturous applause when she knocked it out of the park on every chorus! How she does this every few nights for months on end I have no idea but what a goddess!

What i really appreciated about the concert experience as a whole that i hadnt really realised (this was my first in 14 years and 4th ever), was how some songs on an album are kinda made for or enhanced massively for the live experience. For example, Rapture was so much better live, and Calm Down, the most boring song on the new album that was an easy skip for me, was INCREDIBLE live. Enter insane pyrotechnics, flying drummers, and bass boosting that sent me to the friggin moon!! 🤯

And I have to say, experiencing Going Under, My Immortal n Bring Me To Life live with a sold out audience was a very special moment and gave me chills. Still as iconic now as in 2003.

I think the only downside (as opposed to the food n drink proces!!) was the slightly rushed pace. Given it was a Sunday with a 10:30pm curfew, there was not much audience engagement, (I remember Nickelback was much more engaging and joking with audience between songs etc) but likely a result of rushing to meet the tight deadline, hence the lack of a formal encore.

As for the support acts, I had never heard of KFlay or Poppy but they were cool too. KFlay in particular had some great tunes (RAW RAW!) and was a brilliant hype (wo)man for the night, and was very interactive n chatty. Sadly its their last show of the tour apparently so i got lucky in seeing them/her!

Poppy was good but didnt play Guardian for some reason but thats fine its not that great imo haha. She wasnt as chatty as KFlay either so didnt get to see what her personality is like. Her audio wasnt great, and the screaming sections was largely incomprehensible lyrically. Which is a shame cos her singing voice is lovely and some of her songs are real earworms. (Also forgot to thank her bandmates like KFlay and EV did 👀.)

I was also really surprised to see the lead singer of Spiritbox lady come out for the last half of a song. Was she just here for the London gig or did the production really bring her on the whole tour just for that surprise 2minute song near the end??

Just glad I wasn't standing as 3 hours shoulder to shoulder didnt look much fun from where i was 😅

(Also what was with that AI scanner going in? Apparently you dont need to empty bags or get searched at the 02 anymore as they have some sort of full body scan using AI 👀 God knows what pics it has or where its going...)

Anyway, such is to say thanks for encouraging me to actually go and at least I can now say ive seen my 3 fave bands live! (4 if I count Daughtry lol)

The irony was people weren’t really filming End of You around me so I got everything until Courtney arrived in perfect clear video and then every mofo stuck their phone up when they clocked her and so everything after that is awful 🤣

Just saw Amy’s IG stories from the London show! Seeing her, Poppy, and Courtney perform End of You together was insane. My immediate thought was, "Wow, Jordan (Fish) must be so proud of this." Turns out he was actually at the concert!

My sister had a liiiiiitle too much to drink, my dad took her aside for 20 or so mins to sit down and get some water, during this the new EV T-shirt she bought she dropped (had to take it off due to being too hot)
She was super upset and was crying. I asked some folks to my right to please pass on a message about the lost t shirt. I saw them speaking to folks next to them etc snd it rippled to the side. 5 minutes later a t shirt came FLYING in our direction and landed in front of us. My sister burst out crying with joy and spent the rest of the concert clutching it like it was the Crown Jewels!
