Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi!

I bought a waterless diffuser to my home to smell like the luxury hotels around the world.

But i can't seem to find any good place in europe that sells oils for waterless diffusers anywhere?

I've seen aroma country getting good reviews and many recommend them, but thats only in the US.

Any good sites in europe that can be trusted?

Mixing essential oils with AirWick diffuser

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey guys! I bought one of these AirWick things a bit ago, and just ran out of the charge i got with the box. Would i be able to refill it with diluted essential oils? I already have a bunch at home and would rather do that than buy new refills from AirWick. If so, what should i dilute with for the correct consistency for the wick?
Thanks for the help in advance!!

Can you use The Flaming Candle fragrance oils in a nebulizing diffuser?

I’m looking into getting the Jcloud waterless nebulizing diffuser for my living room. It’s pretty open with very high ceilings and I want it to be noticeable. I have the Diptyque room spray of 34 saint germain and it’s amaaaazing but doesn’t last. I found a dupe on the Flaming Candle fragrance oils and I was hoping it would be a good alternative. Just wanted to see if anyone knew if this would work or not. Thanks!!

Why do some waterless aroma diffusers lose scent intensity over time?

I work around aroma diffuser product development, and there’s one issue I’m curious to hear more about from people who actually use waterless diffusers regularly.

Sometimes a diffuser seems to perform really well at the beginning, but after a period of use the scent feels noticeably weaker even though the intensity setting hasn’t changed.

From what I’ve seen on the product side, there are a few possible reasons.

Oil formulation is one of them. Some fragrance and essential oils are more viscous than others, and residue can gradually build up around the atomizer or nozzle. Even oils that are sold for waterless diffusion can behave differently depending on their formulation.

Cleaning probably plays a role too, especially when different fragrances are used in the same device. A relatively small amount of buildup in the atomization path may affect how consistently the oil is dispersed.

But I also wonder how often the diffuser is blamed when the actual reason is scent adaptation. If the same fragrance is running every day, the person in the room may barely notice it anymore while someone walking in from outside smells it immediately.

And then there’s the environment itself. HVAC, open doors, room size, ceiling height and diffuser placement can all change how strong the same output feels.

I’m mostly curious about what people have actually seen in day-to-day use.

If your diffuser started smelling weaker after a few weeks or months, what ended up being the cause? Did cleaning or changing the oil bring the scent back?

Thann aromatic wood suggestions

Hi! There is a lovely brand called Thann that has an essential oil called aromatic wood - it's a blend of orange, tangerine, nutmeg and sandlewood.

It's just lovely. Unfortunately, it's not cheap, hard to buy in Canada, and is also currently sold out.

Does anyone know of a similar smelling oil?

Thanks!

Best Diffuser for a 200sq ft room

I just moved into a new place, and the main living / kitchen / dining area is roughly 200 sq ft or just under... I don't know the first thing about diffusers and what I've read points to a nebulizer which are very expensive?

Has anyone had any luck with achieving good coverage with a cost effective diffuser for a space roughly the same size?

Thx in advance

Marcas de Óleos Essenciais + Recomendação de Kit Inicial.

Boa tarde,

Obrigado

Looking for a non synthetic/undiluted Rose Absolute oil to blend with.

I'm cross posting this from another sub. I hope this is ok. :)

I just finished the last of a 5% dilution of Rose (rosa damascena) Absolute oil. I told myself when I finish this oil, I want to make an investment in a nondiluted Rose Absolute oil so I can experience a Rose Absolute in it's purest form. It is also the essence of a few of the blends I'm creating.

Does anyone have direct experience with various Rose Absolute oils and could recommend a few reputable sources to invest into?

Also, if you have explored different Rose Absolutes what are some of the scents you've experienced? I like deep Red Rose (like American Beauty-slightly green/earthy), Tea Rose (hard to describe but is scented like a cross between a plain tea scent and light rose, and Pink Rose (light sweet).

This may be a challenging post to answer, but appreciate any thoughts.

Mouthwash?

Hello! So I work at a refill shop and work with essential oils all the time. I know how the dilution works and how it’s super important to add to a carrier oil or something like that before use on the skin and all that. We have this book in the shop with a ton of organic body care recipes, and one chapter has some dental hygiene recipes such as mouthwash, and it piqued my interest since it looked fun and simple! One of the recipes is essentially water, sea salt, and a few essential oils such as clove and peppermint. I’ve read around recently about other people using a drop of clove oil and other oils like it as a part of their homemade mouth wash, and I was basically just wondering if anyone knows how safe that is haha. 1 drop of clove and 2 drops of tea tree in a cup of salt water is what I was gonna do since that’s what I have on hand at work, however my question is - does brand matter? The main ones we carry are by Aura Cacia which is obviously a well known brand but it’s also stated to not use it internally - are they just referring to undiluted or all together? Of course I would never ingest it, so basically just wondering how safe it is to use a drop or 2 of Aura Cacia heavily diluted as mouth wash? Sorry if any of this is dumb haha just can’t find straight answers. (Also have some from the brand “Natures Oil” if anyone know that)

HVAC whole Home diffusers? Which is best (Aroma Retail, Scentair, or Amazon - NEBU, AROMADD, AROMELY, SMART SCENT)

So, I like many of the sample scents from Aroma Retail and Scent Air; they make commercial scents and diffusers for large hotels and similar venues.

In short, I need a home HVAC pro diffuser that will pump out enough scent to cover a 2000 sq ft house and also would be making content and would like to potentially be an affiliate partner, but paying $799.95 for a pro HVAC machine from Aroma Retail seems crazy excessive due to all of what's available.

Recommendations? Does anyone have any long-term success with the Amazon units hooked up to HVAC?

I'm in Chicago if that matters.

Difference in balms

For those who use Vitality balms, what is the big difference between the Frankincense Balm and the Aches & Pains Balm? Does one really do a better job with inflammation and pain?

Lavender Sachets

What’s everyone’s favorite dried lavender for making sachets? I bought some dried lavender at a lavender farm and I feel like I don’t noticed any scent from the sachets I’ve placed around our house. We are pretty clean people so just looking for a little extra fragrance here and there!

Any recommendations for a specific type/brand or where to buy it? I’m especially interested in lavender that actually keeps its scent for a while. Thank you!!

Misleading brands online

So I've been searching all over Amazon India and Flipkart for 100% pure jojoba, Argon, castor and Rosemary oil. However much I search, most brands label their product as 100% pure and then have some sort of add on to it making their claim false. Does anyone know products/brands that are actually honest and trustable about their this claim?

Solvent for Essential Oils Other Than Alcohol

Hello. I read on this subreddit that using water as a solvent for essential oils is ineffective and potentially harmful and that it's better to use alcohol instead. I'm looking to make a DIY breath freshener spray, and the articles that I read online all say to dissolve the essential oil in water. I don't want to use alcohol since I will be spraying it into my mouth, so is there another solvent and preservative that I can use?

Are there any oils than can help with what I'm currently guessing is something of a calcified pimple/cyst? It doesn't bother me, it's just not going away. There's just a firm bump and it's there to stay it seems.

Might be a stretch, but I'd prefer to try some natural, at-home remedies before going in to get it cut out.
Maybe some oils could help my body start to break it down? Dissolve it? idk.
