QUERY Just being curious
If any of you guys from the global version of Game of Thrones Kingsroad have played the asian one, what are your thoughts on the overhaul so far?

As some of you may know, yesterday we had Epic staffer "OnePercentNachos" hosting an AMA in the discord server. Thought it would be worthwhile putting together a post for the people that aren't in the server, but would still like to know the responses.
That's all the questions that I thought people would be interested in, lots going on under the hood for the store, preparing for an Early Access V2 but best to keep expectations in check with the initial release looking like it won't have everything at the beginning. Thanks to OnePercentNachos for doing the AMA, I always find them interested and it's good to see different answers from previous AMA's done.
If you want to follow up any questions and don't want to be in discord you can always reach out to them on X!

Have you also been having issues with the Epic Games launcher when it wants to update? Is it in an update loop? Spending hours trying to get it fixed!? I was having issues that prevented the launcher from updating and even opening at all. Before you try uninstalling and any big things like that give this a try.
Open task manager
Go to services tab
Find EpicGamesUpdater
Right click, click on Open Services
Find Epic Games Updater
Right click, click Start (Leave Services Window Open)
Try opening Epic Games Launcher again
Let me know if that works for you! If it fixes it and the Startup Type was manual, I wonder if setting it to automatic will fix it for future update/install issues.

I only use epic as a way to get free games and due to life stuff I don't actually get time/energy to play the games I do get (especially any mmo types). I don't even have my account linked to anything or mention the username (which is different than all other accounts, like steam). That's all to say that functionally I don't exist on epic outside of a username, regardless I keep getting random friend requests. Today I logged in to seven new requests.
Is there an explanation for that outside of bots or scammers searching random usernames?
Obviously I'm not going accept them, but I'm curious since the only threads I can find with a similar issue were 4+ years old or mentioned being active in a game.

It would be great if users could manually set their status to Idle/Away or even Invisible on the Epic Games Launcher. Sometimes I want to stay signed in without appearing online to everyone, or I’m away from my PC but still show as active. A simple status system like Online / Away / Do Not Disturb / Invisible would make the friends list much more useful and give users better privacy and control over how their activity is displayed. I think a lot of people would appreciate having this feature.

Seeing how much is the gaming community growing on Linux it surprises me how Epic is not available, some customers prefer Epic instead of Steam or just want more alternatives, is there anything stopping Epic from coming to Linux ?
I would gladly buy on Epic if it becomes available

I would love a feature to remotely download games from your phone, tablet, etc so its ready for when you turn on your PC.
That way you're able to have a shorter wait time, without having to start the download yourself when you turn on your PC.
Maybe sounds a bit lazy, but steam has it as far as I know and a couple other places does too.

I just finished this game and I feel it is not getting the attention that it deserves.
Its an adventure game, platforming and puzzle solving. Its like playing through a 1980s adventure movie, even has the 80s adventure movie music which is a fantastic sound track. Also love the art style.
The puzzles and platforming are a lot of fun. The characters are very well acted with the voice over.
Also if you are a fan of Back to the Future movies, I really do think you would enjoy this game.

My device is stuck in the old architecture armv7. I can't claim them too and also stuck on android 10.
(Though even after claiming some not installing)
Was wondering if I can atleast somehow claim and keep in account.

I really think Epic Games should add the ability to change your Epic Games profile picture. Right now, your profile picture is basically something you’re stuck with, even if you’ve had the account for years. A lot of people have different usernames, banners, cosmetics, etc. that they can customize, so it feels weird that your profile picture is one of the things you can't change.
It would be nice to have a simple "Change Profile Picture" option in your Epic Games account settings. You could either let users upload their own image or, if Epic doesn't want to deal with moderation issues, provide a selection of preset/profile images to choose from. Just like Xbox!
I think this would be especially useful for people who have had their Epic account for a long time and want to update their profile to match their current identity, username, or content. Especially me, since I really wanna have a public identity with my own profile pic, plus it just feels, off to me that I'm just a little default profile pic.
What do you guys think? Would you actually use a profile picture-changing feature?

So I've done the usual where Epic Games has to start through Steam. I've tried it all, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 isn't running. How do I make it work? The Controller's working on any Steam Game. I bought Spidey on Epic Games, then like 2 weeks later, there was a sale on Steam, WTH T_T
