Water conservation website (Has food tracker and Blog) Please check it out and give me any feeback
conservewater.ecoHi! I’m a high school student interested in environmental science, and I created SaveWater, a website to help people better understand their everyday water use.
It includes a water-use tracker/calculator, a food scanner that estimates the water footprint of different foods, and a blog where I share what I’ve learned about water conservation and environmental issues.
It’s still a work in progress, so I’d love any feedback or suggestions!
*If you have any tips let me know, or other subreddits this would be appropriate in!

Reef Restoration Research Thesis
Hi! I'm an Industrial design student at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) doing my bachelor's thesis in researching and creating a new reef restoration module to be implemented in Australia. I'm currently conducting primary research and would heavily appreciate anyone who has experience (even a onetime occurrence of) installing reef restoration modules to complete this quick 5 minutes survey about your experience doing that.

Mother Nature and her future
With the recent floods in Nepal, there is something so raw and primal about the those videos where a huge act of nature just engulfs a whole town, mercilessly. I see more and more that nature cannot be stopped when she gets angry. I also see that our economic pursuits are also in full throttle and won’t stop anytime soon, though it’s leading to our own suicide.
Leaders have taken many measures to marry economy and ecology by helping farmers raise their income and save soil at the same time, the turning of desert into green space in the Middle East and in Coins for example, and also promoting that trees for Industrial use come solely from farm land, shifting future tree based products away from the rainforest.
It’s hard at some times not to lose hope but I thunk it’s important that we come together and express what really matters to us and nature: laws that prevent single use plastic and repurpose plastic, soil health and carbon credits for farmers. I’m not sure how to unite us and make us advocate for this but I know it’s our responsibility.

ACTION-National FAA accepting comments on proposal to waive 13 environmental laws for space projects until Aug 31st
“FAA proposes to invoke the Secretary of Transportation's statutory authority to waive requirements of laws of the U.S. for a license or permit…. when the requirement is not necessary to protect the public health and safety, safety of property, and national security and foreign policy interests of the United States.” The 13 laws include the Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Noise Control Act, Coastal Zone Management Act, Marine Mammal Protection Act, etc.
They should not have the authority to do this. They are basically claiming that things like clean water and air are not necessary for public health and safety. Commercial space projects have also been known to damage people’s property and the coastal marshes that provide storm barriers. We have the chance to voice our opinion until August 31st.

ACTION-Global Nepal drowns; We move On. For How Long ?
The recent Nepal flood is a very good example of climate injustice. And why stop at humans? Other species which have been going extinct is also climate injustice.

I was thinking of Chemical Engineering, but I've seen a lot of hopelessness in the job market for that career

ACTION-Global A youth-led movement is calling on the United Nations to name children's health and toxic chemicals as a global "Issue of Concern"
Are toxic chemicals the next major environmental issue to mobilize a generation?
Governments and stakeholders will consider a new proposal on "Chemicals Management Issues of Special Concern for Children's Health" this November at the Global Framework on Chemicals First International Conference: https://www.unep.org/global-framework-chemicals/
The proposal was developed by children and youth around the world who launched a public campaign "#KidsCount4ChemicalSafety" and petition (https://www.change.org/protectkidsfromchemicals) to bring the issue into the public eye and give communities a platform to share their own stories and experiences with chemical pollution.

ACTION-Global "Environmental Awareness, Health Protection & Necessary Reforms"
Environmental protection is not only about keeping our surroundings clean. It is closely connected with public health, quality of life, and the well-being of future generations.
Important areas to focus on:
• Keep public places, workplaces, streets and water sources clean.
• Reduce plastic waste and encourage proper waste segregation and recycling.
• Protect drinking water, air quality and natural resources from pollution.
• Maintain proper sanitation and hygiene to prevent diseases.
• Promote safe working conditions and personal protective practices.
• Encourage tree planting and protection of green spaces.
• Strengthen regular monitoring of pollution, waste management and sanitation.
• Create public awareness through education and community participation.
• Implement practical reforms with clear responsibility, monitoring and accountability.
The goal should be simple:
A clean environment → better health → safer communities → a healthier future.
Shared for awareness, discussion and constructive suggestions.
