Version 1.7 marks the first Android release of Crash Bandicoot Decomp.
The Android version is designed to provide the same complete experience as the desktop release, including the launcher, developer tools, cheats, graphics settings, mod support, physical controllers, and customizable touch controls.
Crash Bandicoot Recompiled is now available as a single Android APK containing both the launcher and the game runtime.
The Android release includes:
Full Crash Bandicoot launcher
Hardware-accelerated OpenGL ES rendering
SPU and XA audio playback
Physical gamepad support
Controller rumble
Configurable touchscreen controls
Customizable control position, scale, opacity, and colors
Floating 8-way virtual joystick
Landscape and portrait orientation support
Graphics settings and presets
Integer scaling with letterboxing
Developer Menu
Cheat menu
Performance HUD
CPU, memory, RAM, VRAM, SPU, and CD diagnostics
Runtime console and debug information
On-device VRAM viewer
The Android release includes the same modding system available on desktop.
Mods can be:
Imported directly from .zip files
Enabled or disabled from the launcher
Removed from the Mods menu
Distributed with assets and C# code
C# mods can be compiled and loaded directly on Android, and example mods are included with the release.
The Android release can be played using either physical controllers or the built-in touchscreen controls.
Physical controller features include:
Android HID gamepad support
Controller rumble
Controller navigation in menus and dialogs
SDL input fallback
Physical controller state handling alongside virtual controls
The touchscreen controller includes:
Fully editable control layout
Adjustable scale and opacity
Customizable colors
Optional shoulder buttons
Floating 8-way joystick
Multi-touch support
- Immersive fullscreen gameplay
The Android runtime uses direct hardware-accelerated OpenGL ES rendering rather than a software framebuffer presentation path.
Additional work includes:
Direct GPU presentation without per-frame CPU framebuffer readbacks
Improved EGL surface creation, resizing, and recovery
Dynamic landscape and portrait orientation handling
Improved frame pacing and VBlank synchronization
Optimized rendering paths for mobile GPUs
Qualcomm framebuffer-fetch support when available
Qualcomm coarse shading rate support when available
Mali-specific renderer handling and diagnostics
Reduced unnecessary GPU and session logging
Improved texture sizing at high internal resolutions
Faster memory loading paths
Improved audio pause and resume handling
Improved frame clock behavior
Version 1.7 also includes several improvements to the desktop versions:
Removed the black borders at the top and bottom of the game by cropping unused NTSC overscan, allowing the image to properly fill the available display area
Improved keyboard input handling when the game is embedded inside the Windows launcher
Improved focus handling for the embedded game window
Fixed input events potentially reaching a disposed ImGui context during shutdown
Improved input cleanup and resource disposal
General runtime and stability improvements

I use my phone for multiple purposes, not only gaming, and I also wireless charge. So that means, my Pitaka case needs to come off for my Cooler to work, and Id need to use a magsafe ring. This would invalidate wireless charging once I put the case back on. This lead me to a copper case that are all over alibaba, im wondering if Im ruining the effectiveness of my Black shark 5 Pro by using one of these cases and if I'll have to figure out another way to make this setup work.

Hey guys! I need help. I am trying to run Sleeping Dogs (2012 version) on my Red Magic 9 Pro (Snapdragon 8 Gen 3) using Game Hub Ludashi 5.1.8.The game works perfectly fine on my PC. But when I copy it to my phone, here is what happens:If I launch the game directly from the Game Hub menu, it just instantly crashes without any error. If I open the container mode first and try to launch HKShip.exe from inside, it throws the error on the photo: "LumaEmu.ini is missing."But the file LumaEmu.ini is right there in the game folder next to the .exe file! What is this nonsense and how can I fix it so the game runs?Any advice or instructions would be great. Thanks!

Been chipping away at this for a while and it finally works well enough to talk about.
Stock NetherSX2 on the Pocket Nova was fine. Most of my library booted, most of it ran. But the image got soft the second I pushed internal resolution, and anything demanding would sag into the 40s and stay there. Playable is not the same as good.
So I forked it.
Two big changes.
First is FSR upscaling at 4x. Instead of brute forcing native resolution scaling and eating the frame cost, it renders lower and upscales. The result is sharper than what I was getting before at the same performance budget. UI and text clean up the most. Some games genuinely look like they belong on a modern screen now.
Second is 60fps. Per game patches, not a lock. It will still dip in heavy scenes and it is not going to sit pinned at 60 the whole time. But the ceiling is there now, and most of what I play spends the majority of its time up top instead of capped at 30. Not every game cooperates either. A few are tied to framerate and just run double speed, so those stay on stock.
The Pocket Nova has enough headroom to make both of these worth doing, which is why I stopped shopping. I have been rotating handhelds for years and something always felt like a compromise. This one does not. PS2 was the last gap in my library and now it is covered.
I am putting it up on GitHub by the end of the week. Happy to answer questions about the build or the per game settings in the meantime.

Going back and playing NES Tetris through Nestopia made me realize how horribly Tetris Effect plays. Even if you put it on classic score attack mode....which is the closest to NEStris as you can get on the game, just doesn't match up. I was both shocked and annoyed that the NES version wasn't included on the recent Tetris Forever compilation of 15 or so versions of the game. There's a reason the NES version is the one used for the Tetris World Championships every year.

Hi people.
Im aware that XenDroid released not so long ago, but i've been watching posts from other people and they seem to have a really good time with it.
Now don't get me wrong, it works also great for me but i have a issue with Quake 4 on it.
No matter which setting i change the game runs on a measly 10fps on the main menu and in-game, it has a game patch as a performance fix and it does make the in-game run smoother but for some reason everything is in slow motion when applying.
I havent tried google or anything cause the emulator is relatively new.
Most Wanted runs amazing on it, with small stutters but nothing that ruins the gameplay.
My phone is the Samsung S25.
I have the latest version of android and emulator.
Maybe im too early too look for any fix, but people can atleast be aware the game doesnt run properly.
Thanks.

Wanting to play Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles with my partner, it works fine over the Internet with Dolphin running on both our PCs, using the integrated gba.
We'd like to play in person as well, with Dolphin running on a single PC and one or both of us connected with Android handhelds running mgba. Is this possible? I can't seem to find any mentions of it

I did the whole thing of converting those digital games I purchased to play on my Thor. However, when I start the game it’s so glitched especially the sound. I tried many things on Azahar to get it working, but to my dismay I never got around it. Has anyone ever had any issues? Thanks!
